The Third Annual SAAPM/ Austin Half Marathon

O

2016 SHADOW RUN

n Saturday, 9 April from 0800-1300, the Third Annual SAAPM/Austin Half Marathon will begin at the Collier Community Fitness Center. Family and MWR, 65th Medical Brigade, and the Sexual Harassment Assault Response Program (SHARP) are welcoming the community to come to join us to recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The 65th Medical Brigade and SHARP requests that everyone attending the event wear or bring a teal or teal like colored shirt (the official Sexual Assault Awareness Month ribbon color) to show your support. The event is free and open to the USAG Yongsan community. The first 250 participants to complete the half marathon will receive finisher medals and a t-shirt.

Challenge yourself and show your support for Sexual Assault Awareness Month by joining us with your teal colored t-shirt. Trophies will be presented to the top three performers in various age groups and the following three categories: running, walking and rucking. Volunteers are always needed and welcome. Spectators, noise makers, wacky and creative signs are encouraged all along the running route and are welcomed. We as a community can make a difference in bringing more awareness to prevent Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault. Do your part and help us meet the Army’s goal to eliminate sexual harassment and sexual assault by creating a climate that respects the dignity of every member of the Army Family. 07
