WEEKLY Adjusted Hours start Wednesday, May 30 The revamped Hours of Operation for several Camp Humphreys recreational facilities and the Suwon Library go into effect this Wednesday. Additional operational hour changes will go into effect when the Camp Humphreys Community Activity Center reopens on or about June 19. The biggest changes are in the gymnasiums, and all three – the Super Gym, MP Hill Gym and Zoeckler Gym – have been impacted. The changes are listed to your right, but as a reminder, the Zoeckler Gym is closed on Saturday and the MP Hill Gym closed on Sunday.
There will be a Community Yard Sale in the Commissary Parking Lot from 0900-1400 this Saturday. Spots are $10 each, with an awning an additional $10. Tables are $5 for anyone with PCS orders within a 60-day window. Call 753-3013 (031-690-3013) to reserve a spot.
Catch the Summer Fun – Registration now open Registration for this summer’s Camp Adventure Summer Day Camp Program is now open to all eligible children in Grades 1-5. Camp Adventure offers a series of Themed Weekly Camps, with most also including a field trip. Camp fees are determined by Total Family Income, and parents can register children for a single or multiple sessions. Time running out for Beach Blast 2012 Single Soldiers have until June 1 to sign up for this year’s BOSS Beach Blast, scheduled for June 15-17 at Daecheon Beach. The annual event brings single soldiers and geographically single soldiers from all over Korea for a weekend of fun activities. The cost is $150 per person, which includes roundtrip transportation, hotel, some food and activities. The June 1 deadline is necessary to assure enough hotel rooms for attendees. Stop by the temporary BOSS office in the admin area of the Super Gym or contact your Unit BOSS representative for additional information and to make sure your spot is reserved.
News of note … MOVIES UNDER THE STARS – This Friday’s Movie Under the Stars is Puss an Boots, scheduled for dark at Transformation Park across from the Commissary. Bring your chairs and blankets or drive your Big Wheels to an old-fashion night at the drive-in. Free popcorn will be served.

PAINTBALL TOURNAMENT – Camp Humphreys will host a Korea-wide Paintball Tournament June 9. A new Paintball Range is currently under construction, and the tournament will be its kick off event. Watch for further details or calling 753-3013 (031-690-3013) for additional information. WOMEN’S INTRAMURAL SOFTBALL – A minimum of 44 women are needed to continue the Women’s Intramural Softball League, but thus far only 30 women have indicated they are interested in playing. Sports is giving it one more shot, with an organizational meeting scheduled for 1800 on Field 2 at Soldier Field this Wednesday. Turnout will determine if the league can be held or not. Call 753-8031 for more information. SUMMER BASKETBALL – Entry deadline for the Summer Intramural Basketball League in May 29. 753-8031 (031-690-8031) for details. POWER LIFTING MEET – Participants are needed for a Power Lifting Meet scheduled for the MP Hill Gym this Saturday. Please stop by the Super Gym or call 753-8031 to register. COMMUNITY ACTIVITY CENTER – The Community Activity Center at Camp Humphreys is closed through mid-June because of the installation of the new Geothermal heating and cooling system. Officials estimate the CAC will reopen on or about June 19. Meanwhile, BOSS has relocated to the Super Gym and Discover Seoul has relocated to the Business Center at the Camp Humphreys Lodge. FMWR SURVEY -- Have you completed your FMWR Survey yet? Individuals who received an invitation to complete the Survey are encouraged to return it as soon as possible. Massage Service back at Super Gym The therapeutic massage service has returned to the Super Gym, along with a min-beverage service. Massages are available from 1000-1900 Monday-Saturday, with the beverage service available from 0900-1800. Massages range from $5 to $20, depending on the service and length of the massage.
