The CDC would like to introduce our interim CDC Director, Leslie Orlowski who came to as a part of CYSS Transient Mobile Team rendering much needed assistance until position can be filled. She is currently stationed at Heidelberg Germany, but is scheduled to stay with us approximately 60 days fulfilling obligation of the center Director. Please be sure to make her feel welcome! Farewell… The CDC would like to say farewell to Ms. Jeri! She has been with Humphreys CDC for approximately two years and will truly be missed. Best of luck at your next duty station!

Strong Beginnings Strong Beginnings is a full or part day program designed to build up to Kindergarden and focus on academic excellence which will help children transition to Kindergarden. Using the building blocks children already have, Strong Beginnings refines their skills. This program is designed for 4 and 5 year olds and runs from: 0900 to 1200 each day.

Parent Date Night Reminder
Parent Date Night will take place on May 13th from 1830 to 2230. A $4.00 fee per hour, with a minimum reservation of 2 hours, is charged to utilize this service. Reservations can be made from May 1st through 9th. Please be sure to indicate the planned drop off and pick up time for your child when calling 753-8601 or stopping in to make a reservation.

Youth Sports Road Runners Running Club: Youth ages 5-18 are welcome to sign up and join
the Humphreys Youth Running Club. The club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at Zoeckler Track 1630-1730. Register at the Youth Sports Office located in the Rec Annex (BLDG #111)
May Registration--Humphreys Youth Swimming Club Summer Swim Season. Open to children and youth ages 6-18. Summer Season begins in June and runs until August. Camp Adventure, a professionally-operated Youth Summer Camp Program that features weekly themes designed to be both fun and developmental, will be returning to Camp Humphreys again this summer Camp is scheduled to run from June27 ~ Augst19 and we will start taking registrations May 15 at Building #S-570. Fees will range from $40 to $100 per day camp. Also Camp Swimming class will be start taking registrations May15 at Building#S-570. Please stop by the Youth Center for more information .

Win Points PAC*chair members (president, vice president and secretary) receive a 10% discount on monthly childcare fees. PAC attendees will receive a WIN point for each meeting they attend; once 5 WIN points are collected they will receive a 10% discount on that monthâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s childcare fees. PAC(Parent Advisory Council)Meeting Info(Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of every Other month) May PAC Meeting will be held on the 12 May @ 1200-1300. All SAS parents are welcomed to com and share ideas and or concerns related to the School Age Services program. All attendees will receive 1 SAS WIN point; once 5 points are collected a 10% discount is applied to the attendeeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s childcare fee for the month. 6/5/11: Papier-Mache Piñata: We will be making Papier-Mache Piñatas from balloons, newspaper, flour, and water. Kids will love the different texture of the flour and water made papier-mâché. 13/5/11: Decorate your Piñata: Decorate your piñata using tissue paper or paint. Don’t worry if you didn’t make one there will be extras or you can finger paint. 20/5/11: Fish Paper Plates: cut a wedge out of a paper plate. The wedge will be the fish’s tail; the hole will be the fish’s mouth. Glue the tail to the fish. Then we can decorate our fish using crayons and markers. 27/5/11: Egg Carton Caterpillar: Using egg cartons, crayons or markers, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes we will be making caterpillars.
