Trip to the Saturday, May 4, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Paleolithic Festival located in Yeoncheon is the largest Paleolithic Festival in the world. More than 900,000 people visit during the threeday festival near the Jeongokri Site. The festival offers various programs including the World Prehistory Experimental Expo, a well-renowned prehistoric site and museum. Visitors can participate in shows, watch demonstrations and see different exhibits and performances.

Hampyeong Butterfly Festival: until May 8, 2013 Address: 27, Gonjearo, Hampyeong-eup, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do The Hampyeong Butterfly Festival offers visitors the opportunity to get a closer look at ecology, in particular the region’s butterflies. During the festival period, the whole town of Hampyeong is a “veritable butterfly town,” covered with butterfly-themed lights and decorations. A medley of butterfly-themed events and programs shed some lights on one of nature’s most beautiful and delicate creatures, all while providing fun for the whole family. In addition to numerous exhibition halls featuring butterflies, insects, and water plants, there is even a “hands-on” area where visitors can see and touch a variety of animals and plants! The festival is a great opportunity for children to learn about nature in a fun, interactive environment. CRC-Jackson-Yongsan (Myung-Jin Bus) The shuttle bus that runs between Area I and Yongsan in Seoul, which has been a paid service, is now free. Casey - Red Cloud - Jackson Additional bus runs have been scheduled for service between Camp Casey and Camp Red Cloud.
