Our goal is to provide opportunities that allow students to grow both academically and individually. The avenue we use to reach our goal is Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID fosters a safe, open culture of high expectations for teachers and students and opens access while providing students with the tools to be successful. Obsidian offers a comprehensive music program that offers Band class to all three grades as well as a Jazz Band and Choir. Our Band/Choir students have an opportunity to attend multiple festivals around our state as well as hosting concerts periodically. Obsidian embraces student passions in regards to student generated clubs and activities. Student athletes at Obsidian are able to compete in interscholastic sports throughout the school year. These include Volleyball, Football, Cross Country, Boys and Girls Basketball, Wrestling and Track
