In the last few weeks the market has achieved a relative stasis point in terms of sales to inventory. However, inventory is sufficiently low to keep us in the Seller’s Market zone so watch changes in the MAI. If the market heats up, prices are likely to resume an upward climb.

State Goals
Safe & Welcoming Environment
Chapman School strives to provide a welcoming environment and equitable opportunities for students of all races, genders, and home languages. Our goal is to create a rich and rigorous learning environment in which students are challenged academically while fostering an inclusive school experience. Our goals for the 19-20 school year include increasing math growth in our 4th and 5th grades, strengthening opportunities for foundational literacy skills within a workshop model, and improving our Tier 1 socialemotional learning supports/systems.
The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.
We work hard to make our school a place where all students and families feel welcome and included. We celebrate our community’s diversity and we honor this diversity in our learning activities. We understand how important it is to keep our students feeling safe, both physically and emotionally, when they are with us.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Portland Public Schools has created policies to help our schools provide safe environments for every student. This includes teaching students and staff about bullying and harassment, and providing methods to report and respond to any of these incidents. We have a PPS threat assessment team to help address reports of safety concerns. We also support the district-wide implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Restorative Justice practices through our Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) department.
Our school offers a variety of enrichment activities throughout the year, including Oregon Battle of the Books, our school musical, Friday Clubs (3-5), Black Student Union, and artists-in-residence. We have a before and after school childcare partnership with Friendly House and welcome multiple outside community organizations that offer after-school classes.
Chapman invites families into our school through curriculum showcases and volunteer opportunities. We work closely with Friends of Chapman, our parent organization, to support community building activities such as Art Ball, STEM Night, and the Swift Family Run. In addition, we have opportunities for parent involvement in our PTA and Site Council.
We appreciate our community neighbors and want them to feel welcome to join us in supporting the success of our students. Please contact us if you and your community organization are interested in providing support, and we will be happy to talk with you about options.

School Goals
State Goals
Safe & Welcoming Environment
Our focus is on supporting student growth, emphasizing "learning how to learn", and the development of inter-cultural competencies and a global mindset. Our teachers collaborate to refine instructional strategies and plan opportunities for students to practice and apply the critical thinking and problem solving skills they will need to thrive in college and careers anywhere in the world. We strive to provide a welcoming environment with equitable opportunities and outcomes for students of all races, genders, and home languages. Please contact us with any questions.

Lincoln offers the full IB Diploma program, including a wide array of courses across subject areas such as IB Anthropology, IB Visual Arts, IB Psychology, IB Film and IB Environmental Systems. Lincoln offers multiple IB languages: Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, French, and German. Lincoln's IB program is an open-access program with no entrance requirements. AVID is a vital partner program at Lincoln, geared to help support students to access IB, CTE and other academic and extra-curricular opportunities. Students who test in IB regularly meet and exceed international exam results. Please contact us for more specific details regarding our IB and AVID programs.
Lincoln provides a growing number of CTE programs of study. Career pathways include courses in Business, Culinary Arts, Coding and Computer Science, and Applied Design. As part of these programs, we facilitate career learning experiences for students such as guest speakers, field trips, job shadows, etc. Visit our CTE web page for additional information: https://www.pps.net/domain/5263.
"It's cool to be involved at Lincoln" is a mantra students hear from the time they visit to the day they graduate. Students are encouraged and supported to learn new skills, discover their passions and find ways to connect both to create purpose in their lives. Our school offers a variety of extracurricular activities including Robotics, Model United Nations, Speech and Debate, Math Club, Constitution Team, Chess Club, SAFER (Students Active For Ending Rape), GSA, MEChA, BSU, Brothers and Sisters of Color, and over 50 other student run clubs. Students are empowered to be actively involved and engaged in civic leadership. Check our website for details about specific activities.
Our school offers numerous opportunities for families to be engaged in their students' lives and learning at Lincoln. Lincoln has an active Site Council, Health Action Network, Parents Advocating for Learning Success, Band, Theatre and Music Boosters, etc. There are many opportunities to discover what our students are learning at school, to see exhibitions of their work, and to learn ways that you can help them succeed at school. Families are informed about school events and celebrations regularly. Please check our website for details about these events. We appreciate our community neighbors and want them to feel welcome to join us in supporting the success of our students.
