Safe & Welcoming Environment
Sage Elementary School’s staff and community care about each child. Our goal is to provide learning opportunities which allows each student to become a responsible citizen. Educating individual children in a warm, nurturing school community is our priority. Performance and ethical character development are important components of our goal to educate the whole child. We are constantly striving for academic excellence and the development of healthy, respectful and responsible citizens for the global community.
The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.
Redmond schools strive to ensure that all students and their parents feel welcome. · We provide bilingual support services for parents whose first language is not English. Interpreters are provided form conferences and meetings. · Important communications sent home through mail, phone, or text are translated for easy access. Additionally, the district takes steps to ensure safe schools through security measures designed to protect students and staff from threats both inside and outside our buildings.

Safe & Welcoming Environment
Our purpose is to prepare every student to be Career Ready, College Ready, and Life Ready. We know that by identifying opportunity, expectation and belief gaps for our students we can close those gaps. This work includes the following goals: · 95% of all 9th graders will be on track to graduate by the end of the school year. · 90% of all 12th graders will graduate on time this year. · 80% of our students will be “regular attenders”. · We will continue to expand our AVID Schoolwide efforts to assist every student to become an independent learner.
