Strong Seller's Market
Market appears to have begun to cool. As we’re still notably in the Seller’s zone, prices have not yet adjusted. If the market continues to cool, then expect prices to follow lower. It may take a few more weeks of slack demand for prices to reflect and begin to fall. Expect this condition if the index falls to the Buyer’s zone.

Safe & Welcoming Environment
The K-12 vision for Willamina School District includes three priorities; Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC): A GVC ensures that all students have an equal opportunity to learn. Effective Instruction: High-quality instruction must be the norm and not the exception within schools and across the district. Focus on Literacy: Literacy includes the ability to read, discuss, and write in the analytical, explanatory, and especially argumentative mode in every course. With these actions,we can make dramatic improvements in schools.
The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.
Willamina School District is committed to meeting the needs of all of our students. From the high achieving students to those who struggle, our staff development and educational resources have centered on strategies to meet our students’ educational demands. Though we enjoy an outstanding student and staff climate, we are always working on ways to improve in this area in order to foster even greater student learning. We pride ourselves in providing a safe and welcoming environment that allows for all students to thrive.

About Our School BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
PARENT ENGAGEMENT
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Acts of hazing, harassment, sexual harassment, intimidation, bullying, cyberbullying and menacing will not be tolerated by student to student, staff to student, or student to staff. Persons knowledgeable of this offense should fill out an incident report. Students whose behavior is found to be in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary actions. Reprisal or retaliation against any person acting in good faith in a complaint process is a violation of district policy. A student found to have falsely accused another person as a means of reprisal, retaliation, or a means of hazing, harassment, intimidation, bullying, cyberbullying or menacing, shall be subject to disciplinary action.
Extra-curricular school sponsored activities are limited at the Elementary level, however, we do have SMILE (Science & Math Investigative Learning Experience) club. Many community sponsored activities are held at the school for our younger youth; scouts, sports, 4-H, music & drama opportunities.
It is important for school staff to build quality relationships with parents. We strive to welcome and honor all families. Welcoming develops relationships and breaks down barriers between parents and school staff. Here at Willamina, we expect our staff members to be welcoming to all families when they come into our buildings. We believe every child deserves an excellent education and can achieve at a high level; all families care about what is best for their children and families are assets in supporting student learning. Many opportunities exist to participate in your child's learning; volunteering, family night activities, parent organization, and conferences.
Parent, and community involvement in education correlates with student achievement. We can't rely on state, or federal governments to solve the issues we face locally. We must work as a community to meet our schools and community needs. We believe the answer to real education reform is strong, authentic community connections and actions. When families, community, business and schools band together to support learning, youth achieve more, stay in school longer, and enjoy the experience more. For these reasons Willamina School District is committed to increasing the opportunities for our community to have voice and action in our schools!
