Strong Seller's Market

Market appears to have begun to cool. As we’re still notably in the Seller’s zone, prices have not yet adjusted. If the market continues to cool, then expect prices to follow lower. It may take a few more weeks of slack demand for prices to reflect and begin to fall. Expect this condition if the index falls to the Buyer’s zone.

School Goals

State Goals

Safe & Welcoming Environment

For the 17/18 school year, Mulino academic school goals focused on the belief that all students are capable learners. As educators it is our role to ensure the academic success of every student. Our goal for literacy is that every student is at grade level in reading by third grade and continues to achieve by meeting or exceeding their individual growth targets. In math we strived to move our students towards making at least one year’s growth or more. Refining instruction and increasing student engagement in the area of math will be a focus for this upcoming school year.

The Oregon Department of Education is working in partnership with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% on-time, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.

Every effort is taken to ensure our students feel safe and welcomed. The following programs and structures are implemented at Mulino Elementary School; Positive Behavior Intervention Systems, intentional positive staff support during lunch and recess, principal and staff welcoming students each morning and end of everyday, strong counseling program, teacher classrooms are welcoming and inviting, buddy systems between upper and primary grades

School Goals

State Goals

Safe & Welcoming Environment

Molalla River Middle School continues to press forward with developing an academic and social environment that creates critical readers, outstanding writers, and influential communicators; thus empowering our students to be truly “Unstoppable. Our school goals include increasing our student performance in mathematics and language arts, creating a positive school culture, and developing engaging instructional techniques. As a staff, we are committed to providing an educational experience for your child that is unmatched.

It is our priority to create a safe and welcoming environment for all students. We have worked hard to help all of our students find their niche with the addition of over 15 clubs last year. We continue to help kids find their passion by restructuring our schedule to offer over 25 new courses this year. Part of our course offerings is a new leadership class where our elected class officers and fellow classmates will help design a school experience that is safe, welcoming, and enjoyable. This group will also be tasked with analyzing our student survey we gave last year and addressing areas such as creating a safe and welcoming environment.

About Our School BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

PARENT ENGAGEMENT

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

It is our job to provide a middle school environment that is hate and bully free. As with all schools, we have a zero tolerance policy on bullying and harassment. Students are taught about bullying and harassment throughout the year. They learn how to recognize signs, the devastating effects of bullying and harassment, and what to do about it. Last year we asked students to, “Stand With Us” to stomp out bullying and harassment by students sharing their personal stories. It was a powerful, broadcasted message that continues into this year; that each one of us are unique and valuable and deserve a place to be “Unstoppable” no matter wha

Molalla River Middle School believes that when students are involved they achieve. We are proud to offer approximately 20 different opportunities for our students to get involved. These include the following clubs: coding, cooking, agriculture, green team, sign language, writing, National Honors Society, Battle of the Books, golf, knitting, board games, robotics, homework, trap shooting, art, science, equality, and chess club. Our school also offers cross country and track. Football, basketball, and baseball are offered through the community of Molalla.

We love our parents and encourage them to get involved. They can do so through our Parent Action Committee (PAC), volunteering at school events such as dances and field trips, being a speaker during career day, volunteering in our library, coming in during lunch time, or helping in the main office. Parents are also encouraged to attend our sporting events, back to school nights, school conferences, and awards assembli

Molalla is a unique, tightly bonded community. Each year it comes together to help a family of our own in need through a fundraiser called Share the Love. Our middle school is a proud gear in the effort. With the support of our entire community, families in need receive upwards of $60,000 and we look forward to increasing our efforts more each year. In addition, our school gladly adopted a middle school in Texas that was devastated by natural disaster last year. Not only did we help financially, we were pen pals with their students as well, forming lasting relationships while gaining new perspectives on life.

School Goals

State Goals

Safe & Welcoming Environment

Molalla High School is focused on giving all students the tools they need to succeed. We are excited to implement two new staff members this school year with the goal of further supporting student success as we prepare our students to be college, career, and citizen ready. We’ve added a Student Support Coach with a focus on supporting student attendance, supporting incoming 9th grade students, and supporting transfer students. Additionally, we’ve added a Math Intervention Teacher with the goal of ensuring that all students have the skills and knowledge in mathematics to succeed at Molalla High School and beyond.

Molalla High School prides itself on partnering with students, families, and the larger community to create a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students. This work starts with a focus on equity for all learners where each student has the right to feel confident and comfortable in their learning environment. With a goal of further developing community partnerships, we are also proud of the addition of a School Resource Office through a partnership with the City of Molalla. We are confident that this addition will further promote a safe and welcoming learning environment at MHS.

About Our School ADVANCED COURSEWORK

CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

PARENT & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Molalla High School is very proud of the opportunities provided for students to enhance and accelerate their learning in preparation for college and career readiness. There are over 150 college credits available through dual credit courses where students can earn credits both at MHS and through a partnering college or university. These opportunities exist across multiple content areas including writing, chemistry, engineering and manufacturing, mathematics, political science, history, agriculture, business, physical education, music, and Spanish. In addition to these dual credit classes, MHS also offers Advanced Placement courses in U.S. history, government, psychology, and microeconomics

Molalla High School is currently making a significant investment in ensuring that each of our Career and Technical programs is preparing students for industry standard work. We are investing in our CTE facilities, equipment, and curriculum to provide the best experience possible for students. We are also collaborating with community partners to continue to build our programs. Currently, MHS offers a wide range of CTE courses in agriculture (including a 20-acre Land Lab), business, graphic arts, manufacturing and fabrication, welding, engineering, biomedical science, and new this year is a fire science program offered in partnership with the Molalla Fire District and Clackamas Community College.

Molalla High School is proud to provide a comprehensive education to our students. In addition to outstanding opportunities in the classroom, we offer a range of enrichment opportunities through afterschool programming in music, art, and theater. Additionally, we offer sixteen student interest clubs and twenty-three OSAA sponsored athletic programs. Molalla High School has experienced strong success in each of these areas during recent years, highlighted last school year by a state championship by our choir along with appearances in national level competition from students in activities including FFA, FBLA, robotics, and trap team.

Molalla High School welcomes any parents or community partners that would like to contribute to the success of our students. If you are interested in becoming involved at MHS, please reach out directly to the main office. One of the primary points of pride for the students and staff at Molalla High School is our annual “Share the Love campaign. This is a student-led initiative that takes place each February with a goal of raising funds for families in need throughout the Molalla community. Last year, this series of events, which combined efforts from within the school and the larger Molalla community, raised over $82,000 to directly support families in our community.
