Strong Seller's Market
The market remains in a relative stasis in terms of sales to inventory and prices have been relatively stable for a few weeks. However, inventory is sufficiently low to keep us in the Seller’s Market zone so watch changes in the MAI. If the market heats up, prices are likely to resume an upward climb.

State Goals
Safe & Welcoming Environment
We strive to promote the success of each student through a consistent focus on school attendance, positive behavior, and equitable supports. We have implemented the Zones of Regulation to assist with behavior needs. To support academic enrichment and intervention, we implemented the "What I Need" (WIN) block in Language Arts and Math. Although more Jackson students passed SBAC than grade-level peers across the state, our students continue to need academic language and vocabulary support. Our plan is to provide language supports in every classroom, including our Math classes.
The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.
We recognize the diversity and worth of all students, individuals and groups, and are committed to both educating and providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone, regardless of their race, color, religion, immigration status, or any other basis. We believe that students learn best when they feel safe and valued. Our staff is skilled, caring, and dedicated to fostering each student's academic and personal growth in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Jackson has a variety of extracurricular activities for our students. Some of the clubs for 2018-19 included: LEGO Robotics, "Space Pirates" play, Battle of the Books, Running Club, Student Council, Jackson News Crew, Chess, and after school book clubs such as "Confidence Code for Girls" and "The Playbook."
Jackson is fortunate to have a community of parents who support all students at our school. They spend time volunteering in classrooms, running reading groups, and providing monthly in-class lessons for Art Literacy. Support from our parents is essential to the success of our school. Monthly coffee chats and newsletters are provided to families to encourage involvement in the academic experience of their children. Family engagement opportunities provided by the PTA include: Ice Cream Social, Fall Festival, Movie Night, Culture Night, and BINGO Night.
Community involvement is at the core of our success at Jackson Elementary. In addition to the tremendous support of our PTA, we partner with a variety of community organizations, such as Hillsboro Parks and Rec - BLAST after-school program, Project Lead The Way (PLTW), Right Brain Initiative, Intel, Junior Achievement, Hillsboro Police Department, and Hillsboro Fire Department.

Evergreen offers a number of extracurricular activities, including both academic and athletic opportunities: Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Wrestling, Track and Field, Chicas, FCS, Chess Club, Speech and Debate, Robotics, Dance Team, Jazz Band, Mariachi, Homework Club, Migrant Support Club, STEM Club, Leadership, Yearbook, and Equity Club.
Evergreen holds several evening events for parents, beginning with our annual Back-toSchool Night in the early fall. Parent Conferences, Spanish Speaking Family Nights, 6th grade Parent Night, 8th Grade Promotion, and many other band, choir, and drama performance events all play a major role in our parent engagement. In addition, a newsletter goes out at the beginning of each week to keep parents informed about what's happening at our school. On the first Friday of each month, Evergreen's Parent Club holds a meeting at the school where the principal and other key stakeholders attend and present on various topics relating to the school and our students.
Evergreen partners with local businesses and organizations such as Intel, Nike, Dick's MacKenzie Ford, and others to provide our students with real world experiences in several career and technical fields. Experiences range from hosting guest speakers to students spending valuable time on-site learning about careers firsthand. In addition, many volunteers help out at Evergreen both daily and weekly in classrooms and throughout our school. In addition, we film a weekly broadcast, hosted by our SRO and counselor, which is shared with the entire Evergreen and Hillsboro community on topics related to mental health and other relevant issues facing young teens.

State Goals
Safe & Welcoming Environment
During the 2018-19 school year, we worked on increasing our collaborative culture at GHS. We continue to work one the "what?" and "why?" of our lessons by posting Learning Targets, Essential Questions and Language Targets. The use of language scaffolds is also essential so all students can access the content. At Glencoe High School we place a strong emphasis on Language and Rigor to improve academic discourse between students and enhance differentiation in the classroom.
At Glencoe High School we value both classroom climate and culture as well as the safety of all students and staff. This year, we look forward to even more effective upgrades in safety as renovations from the bond begin. Our many different clubs provide students with opportunities to develop relationships and a sense of belonging. We work hard to include all parents in our PTO and PAC groups. We have bilingual staff who answer phones and are able to support all of our families.

About Our School ADVANCED COURSEWORK
CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
PARENT & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
GHS offers a number of Advanced Placement courses and dual-credit courses aligned to various colleges and universities. AP courses include: AP Studio Art, AP Language, AP Literature and Composition, AP Environmental Science, AP Biology, AP Human Geography, AP Government, AP Psychology, AP US History, AP European History, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. We are also happy to be able to add AP Music Theater and AP Spanish Language. Thirty-three percent of GHS students will be enrolled in at least one AP course during the 2019-20 school year. Our dual-credit courses are Tech Theater, AP Calculus BC, and Economics.
GHS has a strong and extensive CTE program and continues to build opportunities for students in the areas of the Arts/Information/Communications (Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, Music, and Theater), Business Management (Business and Marketing), Health Sciences, Early Childhood Education, Engineering, Manufacturing and Design, and a newly added pathway of Construction. The 201819 school year was the first in which every senior participated in a career and college pathway program as part of their graduation plan.
Glencoe High School has a strong tradition in athletics, clubs, and the arts. We offer 19 sanctioned OSAA sports. We also offer clubs such as lacrosse, bowling, and equestrian. More than sixty percent of our student population participates in extracurricular clubs and sports. We also partner closely with the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce to provide opportunities for students to job shadow and volunteer throughout Washington County.
Our work during the 2018-19 school year was around developing opportunities for parents to be involved. Many different activities took place such as FAFSA and ORSA evenings both in English and Spanish, and a monthly Principal Chat was established with great success. We send weekly calendars and newsletters with information on upcoming events in which parents and community members can participate. Our band and athletic booster clubs are highly successful. We will continue to find ways for all of our parents to be involved in our school.
