FIRST USING THE BONDING BOX TO CREATE LINES AND USING THOSE LINES TO CREATE A SUREFACE. BY USING A SURFACE TO TRANSFER AS THE CHANGE THE SHAPE OF THE SURFACE AND CREATING A SURFACE BUILDING WITH FUNTION IN SIDE OF THE BUILDING.

SPATIAL SEQUENCE (WOOD BOX HOUSE)

OBJECTIVE:

BY BUILDING THE PHYSICAL MODEL FROM A EXITING BUILDING WHICH ALLOWS THE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND EXPERIENCE THE SPATIAL RELATION, ORDERING AND ORGANIZAION. ALSO, THE EXPERIENCE WERE BEING ANALYSIS THE PUBLICE AND PRIVATE SPACE AS WELL.

CIRCULATION

DESCRIPTION:

THE SPATIALS SEQUENCE PROJECT ALLOWS THE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND THE ORDERING AND THE SPACING OF THE HOUSE. AS THE PROJECT START WITH THE STUDENTS LOOK UP AN EXITING BUILDING, THEN SEPARATE THE BUILDING INTO THREE TYPE OF ORGANIZATION: PRIVATE SPACE, PUBLIC SPACE AND CIRCULATION. USING THE MDF WOOD FOR THE PRIVATE SPACE, THE ACRYLIC FOR THE PUBLIC SPACE AND THE BALSA WOOD FOR THE CIRCULATION.

MINIMAL SURFACE (BULE CUBIC)

THE PROCESS OF CREATING ONE SINGLE MODULE

OBJECTIVE:

MINIMAL SURFACE WAS STUDIED OF MINIMAL SURFACE. THIS PROJECT WAS MAINLY FOCUSE OF BATWING, THEN CREATING DIFFERENT CONFIGURATION POSSIBILITIES THROUGH COMBINATION OF SURFACE TRANSLATION. FROM A PIECE OF SURFACE TO A SINGLE MODULE AND FINALLY DEVELOPED IT INTO A MODEL.

AS FIRST BUILDING A BOX AND LIMITING TEH AREA TO CREATE A MINIMAL SURFACE FROM A “CLOSE” SET BETWEEN POINT ONE TO POINT TWO. USING THE TOOL OF COPYING AND ROTATION TO CREATE A MODULE WITHIN THE BOX.

LANCERS PASS (COLLEGE CAFETERIA)

OBJECTIVE:

THIS PROJECT IS RECREATING THE COLLEGE CAFETERIA IN PASADENA CITY COLLEGE ALLOWS THE STUDENTS TO REFORM A NEW BUILDING THAT GIVES MORE SPACE FOR THE STAFF USE AND CREATE MORE SPACE OF THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC FOR THE DINNING AREA. ALSO, IT CREATES THE NEW CIRCULATION WITH THE NEW BUILDING.

DESCRIPTION:

THIS PROJECT’S CONCEPT IS COOPERATION WITH WERE ONE OBJECT WORK WITH ANOTHER OBJECT. THEREFORE, THIS PROJECT WAS USING TWO OBJECTS TO CREATE THE NEW BUILDING AS SHOWS IN THE BOTTOM.

SADDLE POINT (GROUP PROJECT’MOCHA SE7EN’: ANGINEH AGHAKIANT; GEORGE ESQUIVEL; MANI KARAMI; NUBAR GYUNASHYN; THAO TRINH; AND SERGIO CARRILLO)

OBJECTIVE:

THIS PROJECT WAS BASED ON MATERIAL STUDIES AS THE STUDENTS WERE USING THE PHYSICAL ITEMS TO CREATE A NEW MODEL WITH FOUR TYPES OF FOUCES - TENSION, COMPRESSION, SHEAR AND TORSION. ALSO, THIS MODEL WAS BUILD WITH MANY PIECES. DURING THE PROCESS OF THIS MODEL ALLOWS STUDENTS TO EXPERIENCE WITH DIFFERENT MATERIALS AS THE STUDENTS BUILDING THE MODEL WITH THE CHANGING OF MATERIALS.

DESCRIPTION:

THE MODEL WAS USING THREE DIFFERENT SIZE OF THE MODUDLES TO BUILD WITH. THE SIZE WAS SIX INCHES, NINE INCHES AND TWELEVE INCHES, EACH OF THE MODULE WAS BUILD WITH TWO PIECES THAT WAS OVER LAPING EACH OTHER.

OBJECTIVER:

THE BONES AND SKIN PROJECT WAS COMPRISED OF THE RIBS AND STRINGS WHICH DEMOSTRATING THE TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING.

DESCRIPTION:

THE BONES AND SKIN PROJECT WERE MOST DISCOVER THE METHOD AS BEING USING FOR AIRPLANE PLATFORM CONSTRUCTION BECAUSE THE MAINLY CONSTRUCTION WERE RIBS AND STRINGS. AS FIRST UNDERSTANDING HOW AND COULD THE RIBS AND STRINGS ARE SPORTING EACH OTHER, AS THE RIBS AND STRINGS MAKE SURE THE CONSTRUCTION WAS SAVE THEN PUT ON A SKIN (SURFACE) AROUND THE BONES.
