NEW FACADES FOR THE WHOLESALE MARKET One of the biggest problem of the current wholesale market is the lack of the facades. This design proposed two additional corridors as the new skin and facade of the ‘Ortomercato’. The corridors offer protection against weather, mean new division between private and public users of the wholesale market and solves the distribution and protection of the goods. The materials’ choice bears in mind the corridors’ function.

ARCHIPELAGO LAMBRATE
2015/2016 Politecnico di Milano Professor: Talita Medina, Antonio Longo, Davide Colaci Partners: Kamelia Encheva, Nastazja Niedziela
Determine the different communities acting on the area, locate them, focuse on the bigger picture, the metropolitan city of Milan. These were the first steps before proposing a solution. The collected information was then summarized on one map, where each island and border was assigned to the people using then, when they are using them and for what. Residential, industrial and agricultural space islands and borders but also new construction sites are emerging in the area, creating with this an ARCHIPELAGO.

THE DEVICE
Archipelago Lambrate
The solution is a device, a box pavilion which could assembled in any way and could identify with any kind of border. This box places first on the edges could open the borders or in certain cases close one.

TIME, SPACE, COMMUNITITES
U N V E I L E D SCENARIO which doesn’t require a distinct timing. 15 years is no more than an estimation. Because of the Lambro, the site will be always changing, the landscape is unstable. The box is the device for a greater cause, which is to eliminate the divisions and that the new landscape becomes a destination or a pleasent crossing point.

MILANO DOWNTOWN 2014/2015 Politecnico di Milano Professor: Giancarlo Floridi, Angelo Lunati Partners: Eleonora Orlandi, Artina Qehaja
Milano Downtown
MD is a project, where the the aim was to design a building on a small corner lot with apartments for short term rent. It had to assimiliate to Milan’s historical centre and its typical milanese buildings, while at the same time calling for attention. Me and my group proposed a building, which is modern yet with its simplicity together with its materials’ choice and dimensions fits into the Cordusio area of Milan. The corner entrance grabs the attention and recruits the new guests of the barrestaurant situated on the groundfloor.
