// THESIS STATEMENT

Touch, sound, smell, taste, and the knowledge of the body are all activated by sensory design. Regardless of our sensory skills, sensory design enhances everyone’s ability to acquire information, explore the environment, and feel joy, wonder, and social relationships.

Healing spaces evoke a sense of cohesion of the mind, body, and spirit.

“With the right sort of support, autism community can be help to live a more fulfilling life of their own choosing”

This is why architects who have autism like Le Corbusier, who began his career in the 1930s, was attracted to simplicity. Therefore, some people credit Le Corbusier and consequently autism for the simplistic modern architecture movement.

FLOOD BASIN STRATEGY COASTAL

As January 2021, flood phenomenon situation on the East Coast has gotten worse with water levels rising. Climate change and rising sea levels are impacting the design and shape of our cities. Creating a flood resilient design can significantly reduce the exposure and vulnerability of communities and both the natural and built environment to the impact of flooding.
