Design Philosophy
“ Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing -Pele
"
I discovered my passion for design at a very young age, my mother was my inspiration as I grew up watching her design the interior of our houses. I believe the key to a great design is capturing the spirit of the client and essence of the space. Every project I have designed allowed me to reflect my personality and leave my signature with the love of vibrant colors and an eviroment that reflects positvity. I hope to utilize the skills I have
developed in the
four years at The American University In Dubai and to apply them in my future projects while continuing on expanding my knowledge and passion in design.

AUD Library
Spring 2018 Group Project Programs Used: Autocad Photoshop Sketchup Lumion 3D Max
Concept
Mood & I nspiration
Our concept derived from various discussions with AUD students about the current library. With their infromativefeeback we gathered that the library lacks facilities and color. We aim to change that and make the students encouraged to enter the library and design it to a standard that fits a 21st centuary library.

Design Principles Contrast:- The contrast in our design is in the choice of materials and colors. The color palette goes from dark brown to being to white to create a contrast in the space. Movement:- The ceiling in our design is where the movement happens as the wooden panels on the ceiling create that effect. The olive trees in the restaurant is also a movement element as the branches reach out. Balance:- Our booth area is symmetrical, however our floor plan design is not. Repetition:- The repetition is in the choice of furniture pieces and color scheme.
Design Principles Line:- The use of lines in our design is going to be incorprated in our ceiling as part of our ceiling design. The strips of wood that act as a ceiling accent which is curved. Texture:- In our design we have alot of textured materials such as a rustic concrete wall that is a feature wall and a

Manafac ture process The process entails inserting a metal frame into a mould into which polyurethane is injected. As a result of a chemical reaction, the polyurethane expands and perfectly adheres to the mould’s surface. The polyurethane cold moulding process makes use of two different liquid polymers that are simultaneously injected into the mould. The chemical reaction triggered determines expansion and solidification of foam. Then the product is upholestered to the finish needed in Coco’s case polyester.
sketching process I was inspired by the Aloe Polphylla also known as the sprial Aloe. It is a succulent valued for perfect sprial pattern and its uniquness as it is hard to find. It is native to high mountains in Africa where the climate there suits its growth. It has 5 rows of leaves that total from 130 -150 leaves growing in a sprial clockwise. I traced the image of the plant and started slowly transforming its shape to curves rather than angles.
