Birds Habitant

ECOLOGY LAB Fall-Semester Studio Birds live and move among the building and make advantageous to search and study about them in the building. The main purpose of the Ecology Lab is making spaces to study in flora and fauna which are living around the site. On the other hand, according to the level of the Hudson River this goes up to 6 feet in next 15 years, creating a structure in first two floors to keep the building in future. Also the form and mobility of the structure present presence of birds that live in New York City and don’t have place to nest. Moreover, there are green spaces to grow some special flowers and grasses which are in the high-line. The main entrance located in the end of the highline to encourage people to go to study some creatures which have seen before.

EDUCATIONAL SPACE Summer-Semester Studio Study about some qualities in the site which happen in day and night life. Intricacy, isolation, obscurity and tolerance are 4 qualities which I chose. These qualities are studied in different time and the pots which these qualities have more intensified. The relationship among these qualities and site make topo map. Therefore, based on the specific strategy of relations, which is TIKI TAKA, I made a relation among qualities to find the relations among activities and functions in the educational spaces. For instance, in the school some activities are similar to intricacy such as amphitheaters and lobby which so many different activities happen there. On the other hand, some spaces such as class rooms should be more tolerant. Making triangular relations and 3 main characters that play the main roles in TIKI TAKA strategy is presented in the form.

Isolation

Intricacy

Obscurity

Tolerance

Tiki Taka Strategy Tiki-taka is a style of play in football characterized by short passing and movement, working the ball through various channels, and maintaining possession. The style is primarily associated with La Liga club Barcelona and the Spanish national team. Tikitaka moves away from the traditional thinking of formations in football to a concept derived from zonal play. Tiki-taka is a systems approach to football founded upon team unity and a comprehensive understanding in the geometry of space on a football field.1 Tiki-taka has been variously described as “a style of play based on making your way to the back of the net through short passing and movement”, 2 “short passing style in which the ball is worked carefully through various channels”, 3 and “nonsensical phrase that has come to mean short passing, patience and possession above all else.”4 Therefore I used this system to connection those qualities which I have found in the site. The main purpose of the design was showing mobility of qualities which happen in the education spaces during the day; these activities come through the volume of the projects and fenestrations as well. 1. Produce Berries Top of the Highways, NYC, Hydroponic system This research work is focused on the producing of berries top of the highways from the point of view of waste minimization and environmental best-practice technologies and automation. Environmental best-practice technologies aim to satisfy consumer demands, while the production process is optimized in order to automate the system and use spaces which are efficient. The optimization includes the reduced waste berries by decreasing the distance from production to consumers, less energy and water use by hydroponic system, produce more fresh and organic berries, while, as a result less process waste and effluent is generated. Our proposal is develop highways infrastructures to be more efficient to use as a land to some metropolitan cities like New York City; some functions included producing berries in BQE (Brooklyn Queen Expressway), entertainment spaces in top of the Gowanus Expressway or the other highways to use another functions. For the future densely populated city of New York development of utilization of top of the highways methods are effective, economic, and environmentally friendly.

Cinema Designing a woody network mesh in the middle of the site to create a unity among spaces against duality of the inside and outside. In this project, the main consept is providing equilibrium space in the center for cinema, however there is some repeation and motion frame around the center to intensify the characteristic of dality which happen in Cinema. inside is so calm and soundless, but outside many various actions happen and is so crowded and noisy.

Central Mosque of Prishtina Tarh-o-Amayesh Co Fundamental principal of Plan comes from definition of Mosque which is a place for praying and going from body to soul. The prayer is someone who connects the earth to the sky. The mosque is a space for be becoming. Becoming is a symbol of movement and movement is the source of mosque( the house of god). This plan is shaped in this framework. Mosque is a symbol of ascending sprit from sprit from soil to the sky, from city to the KIBLAH. I was coorporated in designing, rendering 3d model in 3d studio Max, Diagrams as well as presenting.

Milad Competition Tarh-o-Amayesh Co This complex designed by Tarho-Amayesh consulting company has been presented in a competition to develop the surrounding area of Borje-eMilad which gained the sixth grade among 31 companies. The project highlighted the visual attraction of the tower by considering a frontal frame. Also the whole project design has been surveyed under the effect of sunlight to evaluate its influence on its atmosphere and surrounding and its encouraging impact towards movement and dynamism. I was responsible to develop the plans, draw 3d mass as well as diagrams by Photoshop program and render pictures by 3D-Studio-Max program and v-ray.

Light exposes the form of architecture. Circulation of light shows different types of vies of the form. At the same time, shadows of architecture against lighting make the symbol of unity of contraction. Study of the light circulation and its effects on around environments is a sign of dynamism. Making a frame to intensify the role of Milad tower as a symbol of Tehran city and continuously of views and perspectives of tower are the main concepts of design. Also, flashing some memories of tower with visual display increases the feeling of presence.

Hashtbehesht Commercial-Administrative Complex Tarh-o-Amayesh Co 2012-2013 This project is a complex, located in a key urban spot contributing to the urban structure via creating spaces in its own architectural small scale while leading to an impressive grand scale in its surrounding texture to form the main concept of architectural and urbanization composite. I was responsible to develop the plans, draw 3d mass as well as diagrams by Photoshop program and render pictures by 3DStudio-Max program and v-ray.

Zar dareh Residential Complex Tarh-o-Amayesh Co February 2013 This project, located in Zar-darreh village near Tehran, is designed based on the special topography of the region and steps of the slopes considering that each house has a picturesque view and a terrace and is located in the best direction to have a full sunlight. I was responsible to develop the plans, draw 3d mass as well as render pictures by 3D-Studio-Max, v-ray and Photoshop program.

Gaj Book Store Tarh-o-Amayesh Co September 2012 A renowned bookstore with a small library in a main square of Tehran for a private sector to meet the needs of a huge-crowded academic requirements. The glass frontal box exhibits the staircase connecting the floors. The plain exterior walls provide spaces for advertisements. I was responsible to develop the plans, draw 3d mass as well as render pictures by 3DStudio-Max, v-ray and Photoshop program.

Molavi Commercial Complex Tarh-o-Amayesh Co January 2013 This project located in Orumiyeh, a city in the northeast of Iran, aimed to be a potential likely representative of the city. This model accompanies a sense of struggle between lucid void with a dark solid which tends to encompass the other party evoking the sense of movement and excitement. I was responsible to develop the plans, draw 3d mass as well as render pictures by 3DStudio-Max, v-ray and Photoshop program.

Sarv Commercial Complex Tarh-o-Amayesh Co Novamber 2012 This project is located in a main street of Tehran, Valiasr, consisting of three administrative boxes on a commercial stage with the putpose of considering the urban significance of the main street upon the special entrance leading to a long middle aisle to expand the exterior communal area between this project and Valiasr. Also a green roof on the commercial part brings nature to the structure and surrounding to render an urban identity. I was responsible to design the plans, draw 3d mass as well as diagrams by Photoshop program and render pictures by 3D-Studio-Max program and v-ray.

Kia Villa A & T Co

The classical house located in suburb of Tehran City. The plan and volume is based on the cenralized and symmetry. There is central rounded starir interior and two L shape stairs for entrance. As empolyee have some important guests weekend, he would like to show his power and majesty in the entrance like palace. The shape of dome also is to intensify the centrality. I was responsible to work and develop all plans as well as designing the interior spaces with all details and renders. I used Autocad, 3D tudio max and v-ray to do these. I used wood, wallpaper and ston in the interior to create warm and nice places, and use light and creami light ciolor in the walls to show the space deeper.

Sarv Commercial Complex Tarh-o-Amayesh Co This commercial building was as one of the proposal which we did. The concept is mixing pedestrerian of Vali-Asr( main street in Tehran) to inter of the building and increase green spaces beside the street. 3 separate block are located in one base plan wich are yards of these building to small retails. creating attraction to come inside and movement was the main idea of this project.

Museum A&T Co This was a proposal of museum which I designed. The main idea was creating a line of light in the middle of 4 boxes which have different functions. The main entrance starts from the edge of line and continues over the building and connects them.

Ghadr Residential Tarh-o-Amayesh Co This Project is located in the suburb of the Tehran city. The form of the project showa movement and mobility of activities whic happen in the life, but the center of the direction is straight and people goes through. I was responsible to create detailed plan and section for this project as well as maing 3d model of that and render them.

Askari Apartment A&T Co This apartment is located in the north of Tehran city. The materials included wood, granit stone and woody louvers. In the interior spaces, woods play the main role to create some specific forms and modern shapes. I was responsible to design interiors and draw the 2d plans and interior detailed walls by AutoCad, 3d by 3D Studio max and v-ray.

Villa A&T Co

This villa is located in the north of Iran. I was responsible to design the whole interior spaces. Woody louvers and red brick have warm colors to increase the sense of calm and cosy. I used a woody line in the top of the columns of living rooms to use some green plants to make connection between two spaces. In the bed room, I use a curved woody plate in the ceiling. There is stony walls which some louvers to put some decorate tools in the living room. There are certain ideas about what brick walls have effects on householders’ feeling. in order to the cold weather of the site, warm materials like wood and brick make the space intimate. Despite the fact, the red old fasioned brick give the feeling of stuffy. Of course, rough and stubby stone beside the red brick make feeling of mixture of nature materials. There are some plaster shells on top of the fireplace and walls for decorative tools.

s

hairdresser’s Salon A&T Co This hairdresser’s salon is located in the Velenjak Street in Tehran city. I was responsible to design interiors of this salon. I used some curved decorative shells beside the reception desk. Also I used wallpaper in the walls to make the space happier. So customers encourage spending their time more in this place. Moreover, the floor covered with light stone to be cleaner and customers be more comfortable and trust more. Because in this kind of space, I think, happiness and cleanness are two main factors.

Mazahebi Villa A&T Co This house is located in the north of Tehran. The style of exterior is postmodern. So I have decided to use this style for interior as well. I used beige and white color for walls and ceiling. There are some woody decorative louvers and decorative boxes to give the sense of intimate. In the pool, I use checkered ceramics inside of the pool and some in the column. Using woody louvers in the ceiling and continue through the walls intensify the feeling of continuing and moving. The brown metal rounded stairs in the middle of plan give a characteristic to this house and unite spaces together. I was responsible to design whole interiors and draw the 2d plans and details and 3d by 3D Studio max, V-ray and AutoCAD.

The Asher Chocolate Bar Spring Semester Chocolate bar is a place to serve chocolate products and offer varieties of confections, drinks, and a selection of lighter fare such as cheeses and fruits. As Jack Asher in his life liked the history of Philadelphia and some historic/traditional character, I have tried to use some traditional elements in my design. First I focus on some traditional buildings in center city of Philadelphia and I have impressed by city hall building. Then I found that this building is like a sculpture across the Market Street and is a landmark of Philadelphia. So I used this notion as a spiral sculptural stair in the middle of the plan to make the sense of going up and the sense of centrality, because one of the rules in classis style is paying attention to center of the space.

Furthermore, I thought about other landmarks in Philadelphia and find out one of the most special place is Boathouse Row. As Asher loved chocolate and historical buildings, I have tried to show chocolate bar in a classical space. When I think about chocolate, I remember some words such as exciting, energy, love, sport and sweet. I used these adjectives in my design by using warm colors, shape of chocolate bar and a painting which shows Boathouse Row. I chose the image of the Boathouse Row for the Chocolate Bar’s back wall because the wall is very long, and I could use it to remember this historical landmark to Philadelphia people. Also, it is a landmark of Philadelphia, and those that visit the chocolate bar who don’t know it, can see it and maybe go visit it. I chose a mirror to reflect the design, just as the river reflects the actual boathouses and using chocolate color which is melting to show the sense of reflecting and chocolate bar together. I put the LED lights along the edges of each house, just as they are in person. I will have pamphlets (with information about the Boathouse Row,) for visitors to learn more and to encourage them to visit. It could be some free advertising for Philadelphia. The LEDs on the wall might draw customers into the Chocolate Bar to see what is on the wall, especially at night. In the whole of my designing, I used some meaning of classic style such as symmetry, centrality and hierarchy. Also one of the most important meaning in classic style is height and magnificent and I show it by spiral sculptural stair in the middle of the plan.
