Fun at Frozen Fortress
Embrace the cold of winter with this outdoor party. Local artists show creativity with massive snow sculptures matching the theme. Free CrossCountry ski and snowshoe rentals, Snowga (snow yoga), hot chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and more at Viking Ship Park in Moorhead, MN.
Movie on Ice
Watch a family-friendly movie on the big screen while you and your family are skating and enjoying hot cocoa and cookies on the Lights Ice Rink in West Fargo. This is a free event with skate rentals available.
Candlelight Trail Walk
Arrive at night and ski, hike or snowshoe through the trails while checking out the stars and heading through Mary’s Light Tunnel. 50,000 string lights once used in Downtown Fargo are now a 60-foot canopy of bright lights showing winter’s beauty as you make your way through.
Cardboard Sled Race
Join in on the races! Bring your decorated cardboard sled from home and race-down Mickelson sledding hill. Kids and adults alike are welcome to participate in the race.
Frostival began with a two-day event in January with events
throughout the Fargo-Moorhead metro area. After receiving feedback from the attendees that it was tough to get to all the events in one weekend, the festival expanded to a 6-week-long celebration.
