LONSDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Police Department is led by the chief of police and has of five additional fulltime officers, two part-time officers and a secretary/records manager.

Residents receive 24-hour police coverage provided in an impartial, ethical, respectful, quality and professional manner.

The department maintains the trust, confidence and dignity of residents while improving the quality of life and safety of the community.

LONSDALE FIRE DEPARTMENT

The department’s 26 trained firefighters provide service to Lonsdale and portions of the surrounding townships. On average, it responds to 260 calls annually.

Throughout the year, the department hosts fundraisers to supplement its budget. The equipment used by the department includes a rescue squad, tankers, pump trucks, grass rigs, cold-water rescue gear and an aerial ladder truck.
