From the Director’s Chair
W
e are thrilled to showcase our performing arts entertainment, gallery exhibits as well as some of our fabulous art education opportunities made possible by the Minnesota State Arts Board, SEMAC, and generous gifts of businesses and individuals. We are all so grateful for the opportunity to bring the transformative power of the arts to our Faribault community. Each year we have the opportunity to bring live entertainment to this area and we feel that this season is one of the best yet. In 2022/2023 we have a variety of live music with well-known band tributes, some original music from artists who will soon become some of your favorites, a couple of comedy shows and of course the theater productions. Whether you get involved on stage, backstage or in the audience, we know how much you value this organization and appreciate all you do to support us. That support was made evident in September 2021 when we were able to acquire the final “100 Club” membership and finally became debt free!! But giving to the Paradise doesn’t end there. We have big goals to accomplish before we have an art center that effectively serves our guests. First up, acoustic panels for the auditorium. In fact, thanks to some of the final “100 Club” donations, these panel will have been installed by the time you read this guide. Second, a digital marquee that will let us advertise more than just the current show, but also upcoming shows, classes, gallery exhibitions and of course a “name in lights thank you” to our generous sponsors. We have already raised $40,000 of this $53,000 project. (Personally, I am thrilled to be able to be down from the ladder, and more than excited to be able to advertise in other languages!) Third, new seats for the auditorium that will provide comfort, better sound quality, and better handicap accessible usability. And finally, an active Endowment Fund that will continue to serve this organization for years to come. If you are interested in giving to any of these worthwhile endeavors, please contact Heidi at: director@ paradisecenterforthearts.org, or call her cell phone at 507-461-5171, or the main line at 507-332-7372. Whether you are interested in the live entertainment in our 300 seat auditorium, art education in one of our 4 onsite classrooms, or just a stroll through one of our galleries, we are happy to be the place that this region calls their home for the arts!
Heidi, Enjoy the show!

Trevor McSpadden & Mary Cutrufello SATURDAY NOVEMBER 12 AT 7:30PM Member: $20 / Non-Member: $25 / Student: $15 Trevor McSpadden and Mary Cutrufello have walked wildly different musical paths. But both have been guided by their time honkytonking in Texas in the early 1990s. Trevor was first enthralled by music as a kid on the dance floor, mystified by a good band keeping the two-steppers spinning. Mary was a guitarslinging, fire-spitting bandleader, catapulted to nationwide acclaim. Serendipitously, their two paths have converged in St. Paul, where they make a potent combo of roots rock and country crooning. They also have Dan on bass guitar and Aaron on the drums!
