Aided by mathematical proximity algorithms, each villa is arrenged in order to guaranteean optimal placement, taking in consideration factors such as sunlight , ventilation, circulation and ocean views.
Progressive form development
The premise was to create a sensorial journey throughout a logic connection between context and proposal.Shaping an exclusive experience ful of memories and emotions in every corner of the hotel. For instance the box is a conventional rigid element, the aim was to create a coherent piece that blends with the master plan. Resulting in a progressive form for each habitable module that reacts according to wind currents creating an optimal flow across the master plan.
TULUM HOTEL
Temperature and Sunlight Cross ventilation with cool winds is achieved through the evaporation of the surrounding water in the cenote.

MOGANSHAN RESORT
The project is located in Moganshan natural park, which is only two hour drive from Shangh. The site has a beautiful lake, lush pine and bamboo forests and natural rock formations, which make Moganshan a unique place to forget about the city, creating a direct interaction between nature and its visitors. Inspired by the roots of the place, the projects pretends to create spaces that have a positive impact within the feelings and emotions of each user, reflecting tranquillity, harmony and enlightenment. After analyzing the notable feature of the courtyard houses that epitomize traditional Chinese architecture, in which the complex is fully enclosed by buildings and walls and usually the only opening to the outside is through the front gate. The concept was generated taking advantage of the natural materials as bamboo that is present in the immediate context. The design concept intended to create bamboo boxes that could merge with the context. Inside the boxes the villas were developed following the premise of the chinese courtyards in which the front gate will be the lake. Aided by digital parametric tools the design present a dynamic arrengement of the bamboos giving a contemporary and artesanal look tho each space. The result is a complex of different villas that merge with the surroundings and guarantee amazing views towards the lake, giving a unique experience to the vistiors.

PIPES INSTALLATION
Project developed with architecture students from Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. The course is focused on Design by Making in which based on the words from Josef Albers reasearch, students understand that we can´t afford to waste material or time, therefore they need to investigate what a material like paper can do . So, at the beginning they experiment without aiming at making a product. At the moment we prefer cleverness to beauty. Our Studies should leave to constructive thinking.

PIPES INSTALLATION
The parametric installation combinesparametric tools and digital fabrication, the concept is based on the study of a 2D geometry, that turns into a 3D component when pieces are rolled into pipes. The 3D scrpit enables the possibility to change the shape and form of the installation and take the lenght of each piece in order to develop the 1:1 physical scale model. The form and components were derived from a combination of digital and physical study.

BY MAKING COURSE
Advanced Technology in Architecture Farid Hdez Eljure Architecture and Industrial Design Students Academic- Spring semester Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. 2016
DIGITAL FABRICATION STUDIO
Course objective The course is focused around the design, implementation and testing of materials, putting special emphasis on the creation of prototypes through the use of new digital manufacturing technologies. Students will be able to understand and analyze the importance of the computer in the design and development process towards the realization and manufacturing of ideas and concepts. Through a combination of physical interaction, geometric digital manipulation and new manufacturing technologies, students will understand the connection between design, material, geometry and potential applications in architecture and industrial design.
DIGITAL FABRICATION STUDIO
Aggregate Architecture Development of an architectural material system consisting of granulates using analogue and digital computational models. The research aims to design componets that can enhance friction between each parts, generating the formation of unregular structures. The reasearch focus on how the components can arregne through the use neumatic formwork, generating relative spaces.
Course methodology The course is based on a theoretical and practical collaborative work, where different digital fabrication techniques require the students to rethink the design process and develop new methodologies with nonlinear approaches. The course structure is based on the development of multiple assignments. Each assignment is guided by theoretical sessions where examples and case studies related to the topic are displayed. After this process, students sessions are focused on research, design and manufacture of prototypes. Moreover a culture of self-learning based on experimentation, creativity, discussion and teamwork is encouraged throughout the entire course.
DIGITAL FABRICATION STUDIO
L-systems The project examines new possibilities for architecture. In which students question about if nature´s growth process can function as a generator of architectural design. Opening the path to experiment about how can L -systems be applied to the production and proposal of architectural forms.

House 12 project is developed under the concept of keeping private and intimate spaces apart from public areas. The project is divided into 4 levels, each of them contains a different program. For example the lower levels are focused on recreational areas like pool, game rooms , fitness center and green areas, while the upper levels contain the private bedrooms. Each room has an exclusive and unique view showing its contemporary design based on simplicity.

HOUSE 12
The presence of light in each space is one of the most important features, which enhance the program inside the house. The orientation of the volume forces a closed geometry on three sides of the house, while the fouth side has an amzig view to the surrounding landscape. The garden is an element that interacts with the entire home in its full context, creating multiple private spaces for users. Aspart of the program a pool was required, so the idea was to join the green open spaces with and indoor pool that can become an outdoor pool due to a movable glass facade.

BENNERLEY VIADUCT CONNECTION
ILKESTON
AWSWORTH
Bennerley Viaduct is a bridge of northern railways located in Derbyshire, which is now disused. The bridge spans Erewash valley and connects Ilkeston and Awsworth. After this bridge became abandoned, the train stations and coal industries around it werealso discontinued in 1980, which resulted in deactivation of areas around. Accessibility became a problem for this area resulting in companies closing their work in towns at both ends. This brought unemployment and economic decline to this area. Presently Ilkeston is only one of the few cities in UK without a train station. Therefore our brief for this studio directs a proposal of a train station on bennerley viaduct.

This train station would bring economic prosperity, attract tourism and solve problems of accessibility for the area. Also a connection will be re-established between Ilkeston and Awsworth , and they will be connected to other parts of UK. At the same time network for cyclists will be reinforced due to activation of Bennerley viaduct. The design proposal will play a vital role in restoring connection between two towns and it will reuse Bennerly viaduct, as train stations would be accessed from the bridge. Consequently this design proposal will bring back life to whole urban area including viaduct and this place would get a new meaning.

UK PAVILION EXPO MILAN
Milan expo 2015 is a platform for sharing views of different countries around the world, about food and energy for life, through different pavilions. UK government brief mentioned to have a single coherent message that runs through building, landscape and content. This message should be widley understandable and impactful. They wanted to have a unique pavilion, which would create memory and emotional connection with UK, while at the same time it should attract children and young people, keeping in mind the needs of disabled people.
Based on the pine cone study, preliminary kinetic skin proposals were dedeloped.
UK PAVILION EXPO MILAN
Concept Taking as inspiration the pinecone, which open or closes to enable polinization, the concept for the pavilion was quite similar, first a kinetic facade- open or closes acoording to the internal conditions. The main idea for the pavilion was to create a interactive experience through seed capsule donation. First people would be informed about food conditionsaround the world.
After informing people about food conitions, a plastic capsule full of seeds would be delivered to them which they could customize with their name. Afterwards each person would have the opportunity to enter to the central feature in which they would be harnessed and lifted up in the air to place their capsule wherever they want. When Milan expo finishes the capusles collection would be sent to countries with food needs.

ARUM SHELL
The research aims to develop a feasible strategy towards the physical (paper models) and digital recreation of Arums shell structure through the use of Rhino software aided by the paneling tools and (Grasshopper) King Kong plugin. The research will be followed by two stages the first one will study the curve-creasefolding technique throughout an extensive development of physical paper models in order to understand the presence and importance of creases and rulings towards the creation of three-dimensional geometries made out of two-dimensional sheets. The second stage will be followed by a deep exploration of Rhino Software and its different plugins in order to identify if these digital tools enhance and allow to achieve a physical and digital recreation and simulation of the curved folded geometries.

Correct interaction between physical models, digital tools and digital fabrication may lead to the materialization of architectural concepts.
The results demonstrate a feasible workflow strategy in which the application and interaction of Rhino software and it different plugins allowed the physical paper model and digital recreation of Arums shell structure. At the same time through the physical model development the structural potential of curvecrease-folding will be exposed. Consequently, the research revealed the importance behind design and making, in which the correct interaction between physical models, digital tools and digital fabrication may lead to the materialization of architectural concepts.

TORNO ART PIECE
Take a non-rigid natural material such as wood ; so that by the combination of a digital and analog process, this element can be transformed into a flexible piece.
Concept Derived from the art produced by the malleability of a material, product of the combination of elements such as water , sand , mud and rudimentary technology such as a lathe, rigid pieces of variable geometry are obtained as a result of these human intervention. Taking inspiration from this process and the study of geometry produced by the continuous rotation of a malleable element , the idea arises of taking a non-rigid natural material such as wood ; so that by the combination of a digital and analog process, this element can be transformed into a flexible piece.

XALPA HOUSE
The premise for this project was to create a place where the client could disconnect from his busy professional life, so he could enjoy his family to the fullest. The project was conceived as a home that exhales transparency and seeks to establish a dialogue between the interior living space and the outdoor environment. The use of natural light and the use of natural materials such as wood and stone were a crucial part in the design. The challenge in this project was the interior distribution, as they needed four bedrooms for each family member, and the government regulations only allows the construction of two levels in each house. The main floor´s walls were replaced with glass, creating a dialogue between the outdoor and the inhabitable living space such as the kitchen, dining and living room, this main floor also includes a complete bedroom for the maid, guests or older people who can’t go upstairs. The second floor, on the other hand, accommodates the more private areas, such as the bedrooms and family room. The project looked forward to replace the walls with transparent glass panels, creating a seamless transition between each bedroom and space, seeking a full coexistence of each family member.

AMPARO MUSEUM -TEN ARQUITECTOS
The Amparo Museum is a Project that converges between the traditional architecture of Puebla, with the new contemporary architecture of TEN arquitectos. The museum started as a restoration; however the program looked for new spaces that could expose modern art, forcing to develop a new building located in one of the backyards. The idea was to create a simple stylized box that could increase the amount of square meters for expositions, giving a new image to the private museum. The crystal box started as an object that fits perfectly in the backyard, from this fact, the box becomes the point of departure to reestablish new connections in the circulations of the museum. The structure of the museum is originally composed by the joint of four colonial houses plus the cloister of the small church located next to the museum. The Amparo Foundation wanted to improve the visitor’s experience and increase the museum’s exhibition capacity without destroying the original historic construction. With a limited site, TEN Arquitectos modernized Amparo’s spaces and updated its circulation through the insertions of glass vestibules of varying scales. Bringing natural light into the building, the vestibules provide access to the galleries and unify the different collections, which range from pre-Columbian works to pieces by modern artists, while simultaneously offering new space for temporary exhibitions, offices, and an auditorium. Clarified circulation and updated facilities bring new orientation to the building, turning the Amparo Museum into a public venue, rather than merely a repository for art.
AMPARO MUSEUM -TEN ARQUITECTOS
For this project the intervention was a very hard task, as the architectural program was constrainted by severall regulations. As part of the project it was added an exclusive restaurant, warehouses, cafeterias, workshops, a library, and some administrative offices.During this particularly project we were involved not only in the design process but also in the construction supervision. Our team had to move nine months to Puebla in order to supervise that the construction company did everything according to TEN arquitectos design.
Our main task was to supervise and develop immediate solutions to the problems that arose during the construction process. The result is a totally renovated museum that displays in all its glory the collection of more than 700 thousand pieces of pre-Columbian art, and its more than 300 works of colonial art, all added to the exhibition of contemporary art, giving a comprehensive view of the various stages of artistic expressions in Mexico and the world.
The museum’s roof, was conceived as a other facade of the building as it has gardens and terraces—which are clad in local marble and talavera, a type of maiolica pottery hand-made by local artisans—to give views over the city, connecting the museum to the surrounding urban city.
AMPARO MUSEUM -TEN ARQUITECTOS
The building renovation brought new life to this important institution by reconnecting it to the city as a renewed and relevant cultural resource.
