FARM CREDIT EAST CARES DONATES $144,000 TO SUPPORT COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORTS

Over the summer months, Farm Credit East staff typically enjoy getting out of the office to participate in local community events. In past years’ summer issues, we’ve shared photos of staff participating in dairy parades and other educational events; raising funds for community organizations via softball and golf tournaments and Relay For Life events; or helping out at local food banks. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic and related safety precautions have resulted in the cancelation of many of these favored annual events – but that didn’t halt the compassion of our team.

Instead this year, the Farm Credit East Cares Community Fund donated $144,000 to various charitable organizations across the Northeast to support COVID-19 relief efforts. Recipient organizations were selected by staff from Farm Credit East’s 20 branch offices.

More than 60 northeast organizations providing food to those in need along with other support services received funds.
