JAllflex Livestock Intelligence has announced the launch of an updated version of its automatic livestock drafting gate.
It uses radio frequency identification technology to automatically segregate cattle according to preset or customisable action lists via the company’s SenseHub, Heatime Pro and Dataflow II livestock monitoring systems. rMore information from allflex.global/uk

New genetic service from Genus ABS
Breeding services provider Genus ABS has introduced a new genetic service, Geneadvance, to its portfolio, which it says will aim to help dairy farmers predict and improve their herd’s future performance and make faster genetic progress.
e service works by using insights gathered from genomic testing females, which Genus ABS uses to predict their future genetic merit and rank them based on traits which are important to a particular farmer’s business goals and system. e aim is that farmers can make be er-informed breeding decisions.

Feeding app update and offer
JAn app package for weighing and feeding animals, Cowconnect, has launched its new Cowconnect Go app on a limited time offer.
This enables users to try Cowconnect free for 30 days, set up digital feed plans, report on feed efficiency, feed cost and feed margins based on litres of milk and at a per cow level. The package’s aim is to help farmers improve feed accuracy. rMore information from cowconnect.net

Carrs Billington supplement range
JAgricultural supplier Carrs Billington has developed an own-brand range of nutritional supplements, including feed blocks, mineral and feed buckets and powdered minerals.
The new Vitamix, Vitalyx and Vitablox ranges come in various free-access or in-feed options and are intended for supplementing grazing, silages and homegrown feeds. rMore information from carrs-billington.com
Pour-on fluke treatment
JNorbrook is expanding its parasiticide range to offer a single active pour-on fluke treatment for cattle. Solantel pour-on is a closantel-based flukicide, licensed for the treatment of late immature and adult liver fluke in cattle.
Veterinary adviser for Norbrook Dan Griffiths says the new pour-on can be integrated into most holistic animal health plans, as well as offering a ‘much needed’ additional flukicide option for cattle farmers.
