CELLI POWER HARROWS
FARMGARD’S CELLI POWER HARROWS
features & benefits
Proven through the test of time in New Zealand. Celli Power Harrows have been in New Zealand for over 25 years and have stood the test of time in these harsh demanding conditions. New Zealand’s largest and well known growers, contractors and farmers all see the Celli as the flagship in the cultivation scene. With ground breaking features such as 15° rotor phasing, fully welded gearbeds and much more, Celli Power Harrows have
15° Rotor timing
>> To reduce the horsepower demand and reduce fuel consumption. Also gives a finer seedbed
unnumbered hidden qualities.
>> Rotor shaft bearings spaced well apart for greater support
>> Top bearings fitted with grease nipples for added lubrication >> Rigid one piece welded box section gearbed for greater rigidity >> Heavy 6mm thick steel plate construction on Ranger models. 8mm on Laser, Energy and Maxi models
One piece rotorshafts
>> Forged and heat treated to give greater durability. To ensure perfect sealing the shafts are also hardened where it is in contact with the oil seals
>> Machined one piece rotor shafts
>> Strong locking nuts
>> Efficient stone protector (shaped steel plate) (optional extra)
>> Hardened wide gears
Fully welded gearbed
>> This gives greater rigidity and ensure the gears run “true at all times”
Double sealing system >> + external protecting groove
Heavy bottom counter >> flanges gives greater hold of tynes
SECTION VIEW OF THE CELLI POWER HARROW
>> 280mm x 12mm on Ranger models. 300mm x 15mm on Laser and Energy models. 330 x 18mm on Maxi models. Blades made from special boron steel optimised a for low horsepower requirement. Optional 400mm long tynes for Maxi
Greaseable top bearings
>> >> To ensure they have adequate
lubrication at all times, rather than relying only on oil splash from the lower gears.
>> High resistant side plates >> The Celli side plates are made out of T1 steel for high resistance to wear and can also cope with large amounts of soil.
Celli Power Harrows: Better by Design, Better by Results. Celli Power Harrows have established an impressive reputation for their efficiency and quality performance in producing superior seedbeds. Efficiency that delivers cost savings in fuel, time and horsepower. The Celli Power Harrow is an Italian performer whose strength and durability has earned it a reputation for being one of the most dependable machines on the market. For the 25 years farmers and contractors have been reaping the benefits of these well designed and solidly built machines; from one metre wide models working in vineyards through to seven metre folding machines doing hundreds of hectares a year. Operators point to many of Celli’s superior design features to rationalise why it delivers such satisfying results. Having 12 rotors rather than 10 over a 3 metre width is recognised as contributing to the fine seed bed finish. The vertical sliding side plates are simple, strong and effective and unlike older designs that were spring loaded, they don’t throw the soil out to the sides in uneven lines. Long-term operators acknowledge Celli’s low horsepower requirements and ease of driving are a direct result of the design of the Celli Maxi tines and the consequent savings in horsepower and fuel are appreciated. There are many contributing factors that explain Celli’s durability and strength these include: the forged steel componentry, the fully welded rigid gear bed, the high strength fine spline gears and top bearing retainer rings that contain lubrication where it’s needed. A Pukekohe vegetable grower who has owned a Celli for nine years swears by Celli’s dependability and longevity. “We grease the top bearings once a week and we have had absolutely no problems with the machine since the day we bought it.”
In Northland, a dairy farmer who had the challenge of returning pugged pasture back into profitable grass found the Celli required little effort to do the job. “A very shallow working of the ground with a Celli power harrow/seeder combination was surprisingly effective, better than undersowing.” And likewise a Waikato contractor who regrassed maize stubble with his Celli Maxi power harrow complete with a seedbox attached had better results for less expense than he was used to. “Working at around 150mm deep and seeding in one pass, the Celli outperformed the more expensive undersowing seed drills that I’ve used in the same paddock.” A farmer in Bay of Plenty hill country summed up Celli’s efficiency by comparing its benefits to former machinery. “Before the Celli, I was using spring tines that required numerous passes and with each successive pass topsoil was lost down the slopes. Apart from the obvious waste it also increased the risks of driving on marginal hillsides. With the Celli I achieved the required finish in just one pass and with better results. There was less soil compaction, no loss of valuable soil and I saved time and money.”
