Louis Vuitton Fashion for 2011: Out with the Old, In with the New For the past two seasons, Louis Vuitton have been featuring older models in their advertisements, but a look at their autumn/winter 2011 fashion trend for women which debuted during Paris fashion Week, reveals that they are back to their old more youthful ways.

It’s out with Kristen McMenamy, 46, Raquel Zimmermann, 28, and androgynous rock chick Freja Beha Erichsen, 23; to be replaced by a pack of younger beauties.

Cut to Zuzanna Bijoch, 17, Daphne Groeneveld 16, Gertrud Hegelund, 20, Nyasha Matonhodze, 16, Anaïs Pouliot, 19, Fei Fei Sun, 21, who boast an average age of 18.

Louis Vuitton’s autumn/winter 2011 collection, was earmarked by many as the highlight of the show season, and featured the catwalk comeback of two ‘veteran’ supermodels, Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss, who attracted criticism for taking to the stage dragging on a cigarette on the UK’s National No Smoking Day.

It is no wonder every aspiring model dreams of becoming the face of a luxury brand like Louis Vuitton, but for 16-year-old Nyasha Matonhodze, in particular, that dream has become a reality.

Following in the footsteps of Madonna and Scarlett Johansson, Matonhodze has been chosen to appear in the French fashion label’s autumn/winter 2011 campaign, shot by renowned fashion photographer, Steven Meisel.

Discovered when she walked into Elite model agency in her school uniform in 2009, Zimbabwean born Matonhodze went on to win the prestigious Elite Model Look competition later that year, before being launched into full time modeling when she turned 16.

Nyasha has been chosen to star as one of six up-and-coming models in Vuitton’s campaign, photographed in a vintage car at a disused Brooklyn aerodrome. The models are featured in vintage luxury cars and looking sleek and stylish in the latest Vuitton fashions.

In addition to the Vuitton campaign, Matonhodze has also been photographed for top US fashion magazines Harper’s Bazaar, and Teen Vogue.

If this is any indication of the type of talent Louis Vuitton has recruited for the new season then all you fashionistas are in for a treat. Who doesn’t want something pretty to look at and check out the yummy must have designer women clothes?

Liking the youthful fashion collaboration.
