Jessica Simpson managed to successfully follow up her entertainment career with an extremely lucrative career in the fashion industry. Apparently, Simpson has acquired billionaire status thanks to her clever fashion and business sense. All by the tender age of 30, the superstar has built a massive fashion empire. Jessica has managed to grow her brand into producing multiple product lines. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the Jessica Simpson Collection bought in $750 million in sales in 2010 and is expected to solidify the singer/actress’ place as a billionaire this year. Jess has made a killing marketing competitively- priced handbags, clothing, footwear, accessories, swimwear, fragrance, and luggage. Some of Simpson’s fashion for 2011 include: Jessica Simpson Dessert by Jessica Simpson, Dessert Treats by Jessica Simpson; the Jessica Simpson Collection; Jessica Simpson’s Intimates; and the fragrances Fancy, Fancy Love, and Fancy Nights. Simpson has helped design everything from handbags and shoes to denim and swimsuits. Opting to cater to the masses is really paying off for the young powerhouse, although she could have easily transitioned into luxury fashion. Nonetheless, Jessica has even designed a line of prom dresses sold at David’s Bridal. In just about 5 short years, Simpson has managed to ink deal after deal and there is no end in sight.
Simpson, who is engaged to NFL player Eric Johnson, is expanding her collection with a sportswear line, due next fall. Since entering the fashion industry, Simpson envisioned including a sportswear line that reflects her evolving style, which combines comfort, femininity and flirty fun. One thing is for sure, if she puts her mind to it, we will see it happen. Through her ups and downs in the public eye, Jessica has been laughing all the way to the bank.
