Artist Statement: “I pursue shapes and colors. My semi-abstract, expressionist portraits tell a story of whimsical spontaneity. Based on an underpainting, my art begins to emerge as color and texture are added layer by layer. The landscapes pull the viewer into a world of color, light, and emotion. My body of work has developed and evolved over time, with much of the outcome being driven by creative impulses.” About Kelly: Originally from Tennessee, Kelly Fischer has lived in Switzerland for the past thirty years. She maintains strong connections in both countries, spending equal time at her studios in Bern, Memphis, and Weehawken, NJ studios. Her paintings have been featured in numerous galleries and exhibitions, including Art Basel Miami, the Austrian Biennale, and the Venice Biennale. Aside from creating art, Kelly has published eleven children's books and is the former founder and headmaster of the English Montessori School of Bern. https://www.kelly-fischer.com/
About the Fair: A Hamptons prime location — HFAF is staged in a spectacular 40,000 sq. ft. pavilion (The Pollock Pavilion) strategically located on 17 bucolic acres — right on the main road connecting the Hamptons (County Rd 39). This location is just minutes from the local Southampton Arts District — one of America’s fastest growing, most posh, and vibrant art scenes. Hamptonites residing east of Southampton, (which includes Bridgehampton, Water Mill, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Wainscott, Sagaponack) must drive right alongside the highly visible Pollock Pavilion, sponsored by UBS on their way to and from New York City. The huge fair grounds enable fast and easy access, and substantial convenient parking on the grounds — for both exhibitors and guests. More than just a roving commercial show, this fair is embedded into the cultural fabric of this historic arts community. A replica of the famous Jackson Pollock paint-stained floor from his barn will grace the entrance lobby. Legendary local artists will be recognized and saluted. Local cultural organizations will actively participate in the event.
