FATIMA TRIBBLE Architecture Portfolio

ABOUT ME

Efficient and hardworking Architecture student with focus on quality and teamwork, with excellent organizational skills. I am successful at accomplishing student projects, strong analytical thinker, and problem solver, quick to learn new skills, and self-motivated. My goals in life are to give back to my urban community through design and to implement change. I am inspired by Baltimore and surrounding urban communities. I always had a love for design, since my younger years taking my first art classes and being introduced to various medias of the arts, from performing arts to visual and graphic arts, fine arts, and photography. Art and design go hand and hand for me, they are seen as a way to heal, and someday I would like to heal through design. I am eager to learn new skills and gain fresh experiences to improve my lens of architecture. I am mostly interested in sustainable design and historical preservation. This portfolio are some selected works from my current time at Morgan State University, showing my significant personal development through architecture.

Oasis Winery In this project I was assigned a fictitious location to build our winery. I worked with the topography in order to figure out where to place my winery and vineyard. I came up with several concepts but narrowed it down to two design decisions and decided on my first option. Working in sketch-up I designed my winery with 4 levels of space. I also worked in Photoshop to develop my concept diagrams and use hand modeling and 3D printing to develop my final site model.

In this project my site was Herring Run Park in Baltimore, Maryland. I visited the site to collect a series of photos showing point, line, and plane. I created a series of study models to communicate my approach. At the end of the project I created a pavillion based of the Rhythm set and placed my pavilion in the best spot based off my site analysis diagrams.

Hybrid Housing Types Team: Fatima Tribble, Devin Parker, Marshay McCain, Nahim Bruhmant

In this project we completed our city block and developed a hybrid housing typology for families with young children and young professionals. The group came together on a virtual platform to collaborate on a block that consisted of town-homes, an apartment complex and retail space on a fictitious site. Our block included a park for residents within out block. We developed our lot over a series of 3 miniature projects to create this final product proposal. The design goals includes privacy for the residents located in this fictitious city, views to the park with local amenities. site location

I was responsible for the diagrams, site plan, digital apartment model, unit layouts, Photoshop sections and elevations, facade fenestration, final poster layout. Devin and Nahim was responsible for renderings, axonometric Photoshop, town-home development, section perspective.

4: The town-home facade is developed

3:The facade is being formed on the mixed-use apartments to create more square feet for the residents and to angle the balcony spaces out to create a more private outdoor space for residents.

2: We decided to create a void in the design in order to make a connection the main bordering sidewalk and to create a connection to the street. This created opportunity for a more open space for individuals walking by to become invited into the space.

1: Here we developed the form of our design. We wanted to create this form to frame the outdoor community space located on our lot and to also create space for parking.
