S t a n d a rd D e s i g n & S p e c i f i c a t i o n s G u i d e l i n e s Overview: • A comprehensive document that provides information and guideline in designing a project to achieve the SDP standard requirement. • The objective of this document is to maintain quality of design as well as to create branding experiece of SDP products • This document offers product types and sizes which are practical and economical without jeopardizing safety and health, design comfort and performance

B I M P ro j e c t E x e c u t i o n P l a n ( P E P ) Overview: • Outlines the overall vision along with the implementation details for the external stakeholders to follow throughout the project • The execution plan socument help SDP and external stakeholder to document the agreed BIM specifications, level of detail (LOD) and processes for the project • The pricipal agreement shall make reference to the BIM PEP to define roles of the project consultants for the BIM deliverable

Role : • Responsible for Sime Darby Proper ty (SDP) BIM Standard development, implementation & enforcement throughout project lifecycle • Develop the Standard Design & Specification Guideline as a mandatory design reference for all internal and external stakeholders. • Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to SDP Level of Detail (LOD) by introducing BIM Guide and BIM Project Execution Plan (PEP) • Creation and maintance of the BIM Families files along with BIM Application Manual to assure standard • Implementing BIM in prototype design and integrating innovative construction method to suppor t BIM ideology

B I M A p p l i c a t i o n M a nu a l Overview: • BIM Guide is expecting to be a reference guide that outlines the roles and responsibilities of project members when using BIM at different stages of projects • It is used as a reference guide for the developement of BIM Project Execution Plan, which will be agreed between SDP and external stakeholders, for the successful implementation of a BIM project

Overview: • BIM Application Manual is developed to establishe guidance and procedure that will serve as an aid to all project members with SDP BIM Revit Template • This manual describes the best practices and guidance for architectural discipline from conceptual to documentation stage, however is not limited or intended to limit and restrict the BIM usage for any kind

The SDP BIM Library contains pre-configured design templates, titleblock, BIM families and BIM blocks that comply to the SDP BIM standard.

LOD The level of completeness to which a model element is developed. The project deliverables shall be comply to the minimum requirement

SDP has prepared a comprehensive design template called the SDP BIM Template. All SDP BIM Libraries have been loaded into this template and the users only need to choose their preferred families and blocks based on the guidelines provided in Standard Design Guidelines then drag and drop it into the drawing area. More information on how to use this template are provided in the BIM Application Manual.

BIM Blocks Module consist of dimensions ( x,y,z ), finishes, FF& E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) , mechanical and electrical configuration and doors and windows schedule.

BIM Block Modules are an indication of internal clearance space and it will be added into the project.

Floor finishes with detail specification and floor trap location

DOOR Door type, system and specification with ironmongeries

BIM Families (e.g wall, floor, door, window) will be added to the block modules in accordance to minumum requirement of Level of Detail (LOD) at each stage of design development.

01_About Kuantan Kuantan is the state capital of Pahang and it situated near the mouth of Kuantan River and faces the South

China Sea. Recently, the National Physical Plan 2005 identified Kuantan as one of the future growth centres and hub for trade, commerce, transportation and tourism. Kuantan is also considered as the social, economic and commercial hub for East Coast Peninsular Malaysia due to its strategic location

Mangrove Action Project (MAP)_Phuket

M a n g rov e A c t i o n P ro j e c t ( M A P ) Phuket, Thailand • Exchanged ideas and informations on the conservation and restoration of mangrove forest, while promoting sustainable livelihoods to coastal communities • Promotion of public awareness of mangrove forest issues • Designed and constructed the dye wasterwater filteration site for local communities

• Planted saplings of the rhizophora mucronata species at the reforestation site • The activities were a par t of research process and information gathering for futher development of Mangrove Visitor Center project


Urban Play_Kuantan

U r b a n P l ay @ Ku a n t a n , Pa h a n g • The objective of this project was to obtain the information of socio-cultural issues in Kuantan, Pahang • A 500mm 3 wire mesh boxes was created to place all the question and it were placed at the promenade of Kuantan River • The game was easy. Each sides of boxes contain a sociocultural question. People who stopped by were free to answer the

questions by sloting in either white fabric (agree) and blue fabric (not agree) into the wire mesh. • All the feedbacks were gathered and analysed to identify what are the common issues that local people encounter in their daily life. • These informations were useful to outline the best design brief for community design project
