The Architectural Relic Series Kim Rosen, the designer behind FAYCE, is constantly looking up and admiring the details and craftsmanship of the buildings around her. Coming from an Illustration background, Kim uses shape, line and color to create abstract embroidered compositions on fabric just as she did on paper. By layering simplified, architecturally inspired shapes and color, the embroidered thread acts much like paint on canvas, creating a sense of light, texture and movement.

The Heirloom Relic Series Relic, an object cherished for historic or nostalgic reasons, such as an heirloom, this embroidered series evokes something from the past with a modern twist. Each embroidery is a fragment of a larger hand drawn pattern inspired by vintage textile remnants, antique china sets and a variety of family heirlooms collected throughout the years.
