This is our 39th edition of Faith Unlimited and I am very proud of the articles we have received from writers in different areas of the world for our magazine. This month, our theme is “Ways to get the Good News out to the people,” and as you can see, the articles this month share many ways to do just that! You Can Turn On Your Light & Be A Light, OCTOBER 31 Are we at war? We war not after the flesh but after the spirit. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 2 Cor 10:3 We are waging the war against the pervasive anti-Christ culture and kingdom of death and the world and its hatred and hostility for the culture and kingdom of God by the weapons of our warfare. We fight this war by sharing the Gospel and bringing the light of God’s love to the world, by praying for the darkness in this world to be contained, destroyed and dismayed so that souls can come to the knowledge of Jesus and by laying down our lives to take time to pray with children and parents to receive Jesus into their hearts!
Are we winning the war? The body of Christ has lost some very vital battles so far in this war. We must wake up!!! The true Biblebelieving, blood bought, tongue talking, demon destroying army of God must actively seek and engage the enemy. This is the only way we will help usher in the return of Yeshua H’Messhiah, our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Glory to God! We have temporarily lost our battles in key areas of socio-political culture that we temporarily reside in until the full Kingdom of God manifests on Earth. Our children cannot study the Bible in public schools, 3,000 children die every day from abortion, and it is so bad that unfortunately one out of three little girls, and one out of five little boys suffer abuse in America by their 18th birthday. Every year 60 million children come to Christian doorsteps to celebrate the most high unholy day of Halloween.
On the full moon right before, on or after October 31, satanists and witch covens, new agers, pagan and muslim occult groups, etc. offer sacrifices, even animals and virgin children to their false gods & idols from the pit of hell! They pray hexes and vexes against Christian marriages & children, yet, the body of Christ has stood by and ignored this darkness, and some Christians have even refused to reach out to these children caught in this dark night, and turn off their light! It is time for Christians to transform the unholy secular evening of October 31 into a Holy and loving evening of sharing God’s love and winning souls to Jesus. Christians have the opportunity to reach out and pray with these lost, abused, and confused children who are already being told in some public schools that they can “choose” their gender and are being taught the ways of the socio-political cult called islam that promotes sharia law which in 20 countries and “jusfifies” the “evil marriage” of 8-year-old girls to 60- year-old men. Sharia law allows these same child wives to be maimed, stoned, or beheaded because they disobey their husbands, who are actually nothing more than Islamic pedophiles that use unholy sharia law to justify their cruelty. This Islamic sharia law also calls for the stoning and beheading of all non-muslims and any muslim who leaves their cult religion. Sharia law is being endorsed by Democrats, liberals, globalists and satanists and has been brought into U.S. schools to indoctrinate American children. The pro-sharia media and political groups use muslims as attack dogs to discriminate against and destroy the Judeo-Christian culture in America while these muslims cry the false mantra of “discrimination.” Sharia law is unconstitutional, it forbids freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of press. The liberal fake news media in the U.S. and in the U.K. are promoting the muslim cult religion and sharia law and are waging cultural war against Christians. Any muslim who believes in sharia law is an enemy to children, to Christ and to our USA Constitution. WAKE UP! BODY OF CHRIST! WE ARE IN A WAR FOR OUR CHILDREN! Children are under attack because the atheists, satanists, muslims, and secular humanists are doing everything to keep children from Jesus. Globalists, witches, and new agers know if they can keep this generation insulated from Jesus they can eventually win the war and take the world into utter darkness and depravity. The liberals have temporarily won the battle in the media and in education, 90% of the time they are pushing pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-globalism, anti-Christian, anti-American, anti-traditional marriage, and anti-children propaganda. It is time to take back the realm of media, news, television, education, and government. Many children know more about aliens, ninjas, vampires, witches, and superheroes than they know about God’s love, the Bible and Jesus and every Christian can help turn this around!
How we win the war! It is time to daily war on the floor in fervent prayer. James 5:17, The fervent effectual prayer of the righteous avails much. It is time for Christians to run for office, support Christian candidates and for wealthy Christians to stand up and buy media and stand in places of influence to help turn the tide in our nation. It is time for every Christian to stand up to the darkness and say NO MORE, you cannot have our children! It’s our responsibility
as believers to reach these children and train them up so they can fulfill their calling in the Lord Jesus! Children are able like Samuel, David, Joseph and, of course, the boy Jesus who amazed the Rabbis in the synagogues at 12 years old. In Mark 10:13, Jesus said, “Allow the children to come to me, do not forbid, or hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” It is time for the Trojan horse of spirit-filled, Bible believing, demon destroying children to be saved, filled with the Holy Spirit and equipped to teach, preach and heal during nonclass times in public schools, which is their right under the U.S. Constitution. SPREADING GOD’S WORD!
Matthew 28:19 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
This is one of the most popular verses of scripture around the world. One reason that it is popular is that many countries believe that everyone should come and disciple their nation, without realizing that this is not a command to leave your country or home, but more so, a command to disciple those around. In order for an individual to “Go” to another country, God must call you to go and send you there. Matthew 28:19 should read, Go, make students. The word disciple is the Greek word, mathetes which means, a learner or pupil. It is derived from the Koine Greek, through the channel of the Latin word, discipulus which means a learner. So, when this word came to the more common English language, it was simply translated, student. The bottom
line is that we are commanded to help people become students of the word wherever we are. Now, we must understand that there are MANY ways to spread God’s word to others. This is especially true in the 21st Century when technology is so advanced, and increasing day by day. We have the internet, computers, smartphones, the worldwide web and especially, social media and other things that help us to spread the gospel like in no other generation. As an example, in days past, if you wanted to preach the gospel to more than your local place of worship, you would need to go on television or travel to other countries. And I am not belittling going to other nations to
preach the gospel. I am simply saying that with all the advancements in technology, in many ways it is replacing television. At home, we are spreading the gospel through many formats. Writing books, articles, publishing a magazine, doing social media posts and video updates, and especially, Webinar broadcasts. Many people on our social media seem confused about why we do so much on the internet. However, from a personal standpoint, I believe I am called to do Webinars as a form of preaching the gospel to the nations. This has become a strong platform for teaching God’s Word to many. Today, at least 92 percent of the world’s population use cell phones. As of 2016, out of almost 7.5 billion people, almost 4 billion use the internet, with almost 3 billion on social media. Another site says that 79 percent of Americans are on social media sites somewhere. We have an opportunity placed before us like no other generation. Ministers today can preach the gospel to their own nation

1 Corinthians 7:35 says, “I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible.” Now, this is not necessarily talking about technology, but believers are being told to use whatever is before us to serve the Lord in the best way possible, without distractions. When we have a tool in our hands such as we do today, I think the Lord that we are the only one who can place any restrictions on us when it comes to spreading God’s Word. So, when it comes to making social media posts, doing video blogs, or just taking your smartphone or computer and sharing scriptures and making comments about them, what a way to share the gospel with the world. And as far as countries who do not have complete internet coverage, find those who do and teach them. Then, in turn, they can go to the highways and hedges and spread God’s Word to everyone they can reach. …Think about it!

Hear! Know! Act! cts 16:9-10 (NKJ) – And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.
God speaks to us, primarily, through His word. However, that is not the only way He converses with us. The Holy Spirit communicated to Paul about Macedonia through a vision. As Christians, it is imperative that we not limit how God speaks to us, but allow Him to express His will for us His as He chooses, whether by His word, a vision, a dream, or whatever manner He chooses, recognizing that He will never declare His will for us in contradiction to His word. Successful ministry is not based on how God communicates with us, but is established on: 1 Hearing Him speak; 2. Knowing it is He who is speaking, and 3. Acting upon what He spoke. I will now offer a couple of examples from the early days of my walk with Christ that exemplify this truth. Prior to becoming a Christian and graduating with an undergraduate degree in secondary education, I began my teaching career in a suburban midwestern high school. Though not a Christian, God had placed in me a love for my students. As that was true, I remember telling my students early during my fourth year of teaching that I loved them, qualifying my words so that they recognized I did not mean it in a misguided or inappropriate way. It was also early during that school year that I became a Christian, after hearing the gospel preached at a funeral. From that moment on, I had a hunger to know more of God and His word. I also became a part of the fellowship pastored by the minister who had shared the gospel at the funeral. Connected with that fellowship, I began to grow in God’s grace and the knowledge of His Son. Additionally, God led me to volunteer one night a week at an evangelistic center, a ministry that focused on homeless people, among whom were many afflicted by substance abuse and mental health issues. It was there that I first witnessed a miracle. A drunken man, who was in great pain due to an infirmity of the back, was immediately made sober and healed. That miracle occurred after God spoke to me
about praying for the man, I understood that it was Him speaking to me, and I acted on what on what I knew by praying. Meanwhile, back at my teaching career, my students recognized a change in me. Students often pick up on changes in their teachers, even when instructors are not intending that to be so. Though I did not initially recognize it, my life, as the school year progressed, became to my students a witness of the transformative grace of God. It was also the grace of God that was instrumental in the love that I had for my students deepening. Related to that love, God began to speak to me about my students. The thought kept coming to my mind, “If I loved my students, how could I not also share with them the same gospel that had brought about the transformation they were seeing in my life?” At first, I did not recognize that it was God asking me this question. However, over time, like Paul with the Macedonian, I became assured that it was God speaking to me. And, as it was late in the school year and I had already accepting a teaching position in another city for the next school year, the fear of losing my job over sharing the gospel with my students was not really a factor to me. Knowing that I was hearing from God, I acted on what I knew to be true. I began sharing the gospel with my students. In preparation for doing so, I reminded them that I loved them and explained to them how embracing the gospel was the reason for the transformation they had seen in me that year. When sharing the gospel with them, I assured them that my not sharing it with them, to me, would have made my love-affirming words spoken to them hypocritical. After all, I reasoned with them, “How can I say I love you and not tell you about the good news of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ?” What was the result of my sharing the gospel with my students? Over one hundred of them made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. What a blessing it was, with tears often streaming down their faces, to see them do so. What was the outcome, related to my supervisors, over my sharing the gospel with my students? If any of them ever heard that I had done so, none of them said a thing. So, the school year ended and I moved away to a new locale and the position awaiting me. What had I leaned by praying for a man and my adventure in sharing the gospel with my students? Like Paul, whose journey did not originally include Macedonia, my itinerary, prior to the school year, did not encompass volunteering at an evangelistic center or sharing the gospel with my students. However, assured that it was God speaking to me about both, I was obedient to what I knew He wanted me to do. And, resulting from my doing so, a man was healed and many students came to know Christ as Savior. Why? Because God spoke to me, I understood it was Him speaking, and I acted on what He said. Successful ministry, including evangelism, requires that we: 1. Hear Him speak; 2. Know it is Him speaking; and 3. Act on what He speaks.

YES! There Is GOOD NEWS! Like me, you’re probably sick of all the negative news! It’s a by-product of the fallen, sin-sick world that we are colonizing for heaven. I feel more an alien, a stranger, in this world than ever before! Yet, I am an ambassador for Christ, and so are you.
We have Good News, GREAT NEWS! Peter, near the end of his amazing life gave us a formula for sharing the Gospel in 3 sentences in his 1st letter, chapter 3, verse 15: 1. “Set apart Christ in your heart as Lord.” 2. “Always be prepared to give the answer to anyone who asks you about the hope that you have.” 3. “Do this with gentleness and respect.” Peter teaches me that without Christ as Lord, nothing happens in or through my life for His glory. I need to reaffirm the lordship of Jesus every day! THEN, I am living the Gospel! THEN, I can share the Gospel with gentleness and respect, as an ambassador of heaven. I am constantly watchful for God moments in normal, everyday life. When they occur; when I have a God led opportunity to share Jesus, this is my favorite thing to do: I LISTEN! How can I share the Gospel if I don’t know the person’s perspective? I ask questions and listen. THEN, a person can relate to the Good News that I have to share. Ready. An ambassador is alert for chances to present Christ and will not back away from a challenge or an opportunity. Patient. An ambassador won’t quarrel, but will LISTEN in order to understand, then with GENTLENESS will seek to RESPECTFULLY engage those who disagree. Reasonable. An ambassador has informed convictions (not just feelings), gives reasons, ASKS QUESTIONS, aggressively seeks answers, and will not be stumped by the same challenge twice. Tactical. An ambassador adapts to each unique person and situation, maneuvering with wisdom to challenge bad thinking, presenting truth in an understandable and compelling way. Clear. An ambassador is careful with language and will not rely on Christian lingo nor gain unfair advantage by resorting to empty rhetoric. Fair. An ambassador is sympathetic and understanding toward others and will acknowledge the merits of contrary views. Honest. An ambassador is careful with the facts and will not misrepresent another’s view, overstate his own case, or understate the demands of the Gospel. Humble. An ambassador is provisional in his claims, knowing that his understanding of truth is fallible. He will not press a point beyond what his evidence allows. Attractive. An ambassador will act with grace, kindness, and good manners. He will not dishonor Christ in his conduct. Dependent. An ambassador knows that effectiveness requires joining his best efforts with God’s power.”
Yes, most of the news today is bad! But, God can use it to open opportunities for us to share the Good, the GREAT News about Jesus!

Adam to Noah in one Sentence! Have you ever felt that reading the Bible wasn’t too interesting while you were working your way through the Book of Leviticus or maybe reading a Genealogy in one of the Bible Books? Well you’re not alone! Lots of people feel like that. But, the secret to enjoying the Bible no matter what you’re reading is to have a sense of “Adventure!” What do I mean? Well there are things in the Word of God that are “hidden” and it takes some heavy thinking to figure them out. Look at this: Proverbs 25:2 (KJV) It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter. And look at these verses: Revelation 1:3-6 (KJV) 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (emphasis mine) I’m sure you’re heard that we have been made “Kings and Priests” through faith in Jesus… Well, if you’re a “King” then you fit into Proverbs 25:2! It is “the glory of God to conceal a thing.” And, He does that in His Word! And, it is your “honor to search it out!” So, read and dig into the Word!
Here’s an example of what you can find in God’s Word when you dig into it and search it out! I’m going to give you the Names and the Meaning of the Names that are in the Genealogy found in Genesis chapter 5. Someone, I don’t know who, dug into this and found out that if you take the meaning of those names and put them all together into one sentence, this is what you get: Man is Appointed Mortality and Sorrow. The Blessed God Shall Come Down Teaching that His Death Shall Bring the Despairing Comfort. Hallelujah! Do you see it? The wonder of Salvation in Jesus Christ, “The Blessed God” that was the one that was seen as “Shall Come Down”! So, keep on reading and keep on digging even when it takes an effort! God is faithful and He will show you how to “search out a matter” and find the amazing truths that He has “concealed” in His Word!

Think On These Things
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8
The other day, a friend made a post on Facebook about "how sick she was about all the hate" in our current society. Her comment brought me back to a time when I unexpectedly experienced hate in the parking lot of our local grocery store. I pulled into a parking space and had two of my three girls with me. We settled into a space that had an empty space on the left of us. I reached around to the back floorboard to grab my purse, while at the same time opening my driver's side truck door. Imagine my shock when I accidentally bumped a car door that was now sitting in the space that was empty just moments before. I was so embarrassed and felt terrible! I immediately apologized saying, "I am so sorry! I did not see you there!" The woman in the passenger seat angrily waved me on. I took my girls inside the store, and we made our purchase. Once we approached my truck, I saw a handwritten note on the windshield. The note was filled with hate filled words, threats, and cursing. My girls can read, so I quickly crumpled the note and stuck it in my pocket. Concerned, my girls kept asking, "Is something wrong Mom? What
does the note say?" I remained calm and continued to assure them everything was okay. When my husband came home that night, our girls informed him of what they had seen. When he asked for my version, I simply explained what I had accidentally bumped a car in the next parking space with my truck door. He asked what was written on the note. I explained that the note wasn't important and the person who wrote it was most likely having a terrible day. In this situation, I chose life. I chose to be the light. (Deuteronomy 30:19, Matthew 5:16) I could have: 1. Gone back into the store, located the woman, and given her a piece of my mind. 2. Written my own note and placed it on her car. 3. Ranted to my girls about the woman’s hateful response. 4. Made a lengthy Facebook post about the incident and asked for reassurance. 5. Called my best friend and she would've reassured me. 6. Cried on my husband's shoulder. 7. Done all the above. But instead, I refused to surrender my peace, and I refused to surrender my joy. (Psalm 16:11, Psalm 27:5-7, Psalm 71:23) Please don't misunderstand. I am in no way perfected. My flesh was screaming with a load of suggestions. But I understand, I am not my own. I am bought with a precious price. I can't live my life doing and saying everything I feel like doing and saying. (Philippians 13 & 14, 1 John 2:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19 & 20) Love is a very powerful force. And, hate is a very powerful force. The devil is always on immediate standby, and he will use us for his "good" pleasure to spread hate and negativity if we let him. (John 10:10, 1 Peter 5:9) We have ample opportunity every day to give away our joy and peace. It's our choice. Thank God for choice! Choose life. Be the light.

This group of young people were a choir ensemble from another church. It is when they began speaking, and sharing their testimonies that I had been affected the most. All of them had attended the same high school. What was revealed, is that in the previous year, there had only been a handful of Christians in their particular school. They decided that they wanted to see His glory manifested through their entire school, and began praying in agreement for that very thing. The Word became contagious in their lives. They were no longer invisible, but became outspoken, deliberately expressing their faith in the most natural means, but backed by His extraordinary supernatural means. What began as only a mere handful of believers in their high school had increased to two-thirds of the whole student body being transformed in just one year. The attendance in this school was just over 900 students, so now there were over 600 newly born-again believers walking those halls. This thought rose up within me, 'what He did in their school, this could happen in the high school in the town where I live.' This has to become a revelation from the Holy Spirit to be ignited with His promises. I talked with a good
friend of mine, Ed, and expressed what I truly believed He wanted to do with the local high school. We did not know all that we would encounter, but we went with the light that had been revealed. First, we went to the high school to visit, and check out what things were like in the spirit. This was not unlike, how those twelve spies that were sent out to check out the land that they were going to conquer. We found different believers there at the school and we visited with different Christian teachers that we already knew. One thing that we discovered, as it was being explained to us, was that every week there were between four to six students dropping out of school on average. This number seemed alarming, that this was happening every week. I think though, that it had actually motivated us even more. (This truth I have written previously, "Whatever is not good, not acceptable, and not perfect is that place to begin using our faith to manifest His glory.") We decided that we would get permission to go into the school during the lunch hour, and as it were, we had total autonomy walking through the halls and expressing to anyone willing to listen, simple things concerning Jesus. In those first few weeks we visited the high school two and three times a week. The few Christians that we did talk within the school walls were quiet,
reserved, and said nothing to others about their being believers. Our presence there, made it possible for these believers to take a more open stand for Jesus in the midst of the school. Once you begin walking in the direction the Holy Spirit leads, He reveals more light so that you gain more wisdom for what else He has in mind. We had this kind of leading by Him, and then we went to all of the Bible-believing churches in the area to express our desires with the pastors of those churches. What the Holy Spirit had impressed upon us was a way that many churches would be linked together with what He wanted to do with these students from the high school. We told each of these pastors, that God had directed us to open a door into the high school, by encouraging and building up those believers that were already there, and by being a visible demonstration of His love to others as we spoke to any that would listen to us. Finally, it was our desire that each pastor we had talked with, would pray over our efforts, specifically praying over a list we had compiled with all the youth from all these various churches. (This list included anyone that had ever been a part of their youth groups that were in the high school.) We had encouraged these pastors to have those they considered faithful in prayer in their respective
congregations to
pray over our list of young people as well. We just put feet to those prayers as the Holy Spirit gave directions in following His voice. Almost immediately, our visits were paying off, the increase in the number of students that wanted to hear more about Jesus were more than we could effectively take time to discuss over any noon hour. We had a friend, Wayne, that had been leading a Bible study on Tuesday nights, so quite naturally we just invited those in the school, to immediately act on their faith by attending the Bible study held on those nights. In fact, we scheduled our visits to the school to only one day a week on Tuesdays, so that it would coordinate with that Bible study later in the evening. "He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love" (Ephesians 4:16 NLT). The uniqueness of the way that the Holy Spirit was working through each person's life, was one that He was doing the orchestrating. We just showed up for the practices. There were lots of people that wanted Jesus in their lives. It was not particularly anything that we had done, nor any special skill that we had possessed, it was mostly that we were just very enthusiastic about Jesus, and we were willing to go where He was sending us.

The Gospel
Jesus said to his disciples "Go Ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature!" The word "Gospel" as most of us already know means "GOOD NEWS"!! Let's let Jesus Himself explain to us what it means! Luke 4:16-20 “16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel (Good News) to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.”
Good News to who? 1. What would be Good News to the poor? You do not have to be poor anymore! Spiritually, mentally, physically, or financially! Hallelujah! He came to help the whole man! Not just to take you to heaven! Philippians 4:19 (KJV) “But my God shall supply ALL your need (In every area of life) according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) “And the very God of peace sanctify you WHOLLY; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2. He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted! As we go through life we face circumstances that leave Gods precious people with broken hearts. There are many ways this can happen. The loss of a loved one, a child, or a mate, anyone you dearly love, financial situations, or betrayal by a trusted friend, etc. And a broken heart is sometimes harder to get over than a broken body. But....Jesus came to heal the broken hearted! And He will heal yours if you ask Him to! How you may ask? Isaiah 61:3 "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;” 3. "To preach deliverance to the captives" I have occasion to speak at a local correctional center every Monday evening. The law is holding them captive. But some of these prisoners are more free in the Lord than many Christians on the outside! John 8:31-32 (KJV) 31“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” If it is the truth that makes you free it must be a lie that holds you captive! And satan is a LIAR! Good news!! John 8:36 (KJV) “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” There is nothing in the world that is greater news to a person held captive by fear, sickness, poverty, depression, or anything else the devil can offer than the good news of freedom!! Jesus came to set us free from the shackles of bondage that satan has put on mankind. 4. Recovering of sight to the blind This can be actual physical blindness, and can also be applied to the spiritually blind! 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV) “3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” These people can be set free by studying the bible (light) and believing God's grace, and through prayer. Most of all by receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior by faith. Jesus healed many blind folks in His ministry to mankind! 5. "To set at liberty them that are bruised." As we go through life many, if not all of us, get bruised (mentally, spiritually, emotionally), Jesus came to set at liberty those who have been bruised in life. Sexually, mentally, or physically abused people are hurting just as much a person that has something broken in their body. Good news! Jesus will set you at liberty if you will ask Him to! For where the Spirit of the Lord id there is LIBERTY!!
6. "To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." This is referring to what is known as the year of Jubilee when according to Jewish law all debts are forgiven! Now is the day of salvation under the new testament. Jesus came to give
us an eternity of Jubilee!! He paid the debt of all sinners! You have been bought with a PRICE therefore glorify God in your body and in your Spirit!!
No wonder He calls this ........"The Good News!!

Learning To Live By Vision, Walking Away From Living By Need Part 1
If I were to ask you if you are living based on vision or based on need, how would you answer? Many believe they are living by vision, but by the end of this article I am going to reveal that most are living by need. Don’t worry, I am going to share the solution to such a problem and not simply point out the problem. Let’s face it, many are great at pointing out a problem, but seldom know the solution to the problem(s) they see in others. This is known as criticism or constructive criticism. No, I do not believe either is affective nor do such things produce long-lasting positive results. What I am about to present to you will produce long lasting results if you are teachable and willing to ask God questions about moving from where you are to where He wants you to be. In fact, you can rest assured of the fact that God never desires to see any person living by need. In essence, living by need is the same thing as living from crisis to crisis, creating a need to also live from miracle to miracle. God desires to see you living by His blessing, which removes the need to live from miracle to miracle.
By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in[a] Egypt; for he looked to the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible. Hebrews 11:24-27
Via the words of Hebrews 11:24-27, we see the reality of living by vision as opposed to living by need. Had Moses been living by need, he would have chosen the passing pleasures of sin, but instead, he chose to take the proper path of long-term thinking, living by vision. While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
The words of 2 Corinthians 4:18 paint a picture of living by vision or living by need. Plainly stated, every person’s life is propelled forward by vision or anchored by need. The idea behind the words of 2 Corinthians 4:18 is summed up via the following statement: Living by vision breeds freedom, living by need breeds slavery. If a person is living by vision, they are free to pursue God’s best yet, the enemy, (satan) who has come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), desires to bog everyone down and keep them stuck and living by need. Living by need is much like being self-employed, an act in which one person is responsible for shouldering one hundred percent of the responsibility for everything. If they do not perform a given task, the task will remain undone. Simply stated, the enemy desires to consume your time with putting out one fire after another. This leads to being stuck or making a small amount of progress at best, before the next crisis hits, causing one to take one or more steps backward. There is nothing wrong with dealing with the needs of life, but no one should be consumed with such a thing. A proper vision allows for taking calculated risk. Yet, a need allows for playing it safe, remaining stuck in less than desirable circumstances. If you have a word from God, the word will have no chance of coming to pass if you play it safe. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
No matter how things look, always walk according to the vision from God, keeping your focus on Him. If you are not sure, ask! This is why I am a proponent of asking God questions and listening for His answers. No matter how long it takes, no matter how it looks, no matter how it feels, no matter what a written report may tell you, stay focused and keep walking according to the vision. God WILL bring it to pass! Personally, God has shown me how important it is for me to totally rely on Him and Him alone. Basically, He has said, “Tom, if it is not by grace, it does not belong to you.” In other words, I do not have to go out and force anything to happen based on a need but rather, live by vision and spend my time focused on God, trusting Him to keep the promises He has made. Yes, if God has given you a promise, allow His promise to become a vision and keep in mind, if God gives you a promise it is up to Him alone to bring the promise to pass. What I have described is the foundation for living by vision as opposed to living by need. Living by vision allows for a constant advancing of a relationship with God. How do you tell the difference between a vison and a need? See the following list to discover answers. • A vision stimulates sowing and giving. • A need stimulates hoarding. • Living by vision involves sowing (seed, tiiiiiiiiime, and harvest). • Living according to need is rooted in instant gratification. • You can sow to a vision, but cannot sow to a need. • A vision activates faith. • A need activates worry. That the World May Know
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us...” 2 Corinthians 5:17-20
Each of us has a sphere of influence to bring the message of hope that comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are all called to be ministers of reconciliation and all were given the assignment to fulfill the Great Commission which is to share the Good News with others “first in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the world.” But does that mean we're to leave our homes and move across the world to another country? By all means, no. We start where we are. The thing is the church is not just a building where we invite people to come. We are the church. It's our responsibility to bring the "church" outside the four walls. We are an influence whether we realize it or not. The question is, then, “What kind of influence are you?” While people certainly need to hear the Gospel message, they are looking more for genuineness behind the message. People often aren't interested in what you know until they know that you care. So, what does sharing the message of hope look like and what might it entail? 1. Get to know your neighbors. In a fast-paced world people come and go and rarely stop to say hello to their neighbor. Start by saying, “Hello.” Wave as they drive by. Are you one
who likes to garden? Or do they? Perhaps, ask about their roses or vegetable garden. Do you like to BBQ? Invite them over for a meal. Do you have children the same age? Invite them over for a “play date.” Look for and find a common interest. Open the door for communication so that when the opportunities arise, you can then share about your faith. 2. Meet a person’s needs. Do you have any new or expectant mothers in the neighborhood? Perhaps, take a care package of baby supplies or gifts to pamper the new mother. Or take a meal when they transition home from the hospital. For a senior citizen or someone you know who may be experiencing a health issue, perhaps you can offer to cut their grass, shovel their driveway in the snowy weather, go to the grocery store, or provide some other service. 3. Offer to pray for them. Most people when asked whether you can pray for them or not, will respond with a resounding “yes.” Pray for them right then, if given the opportunity; and follow up with them, if possible. 4. Use the technology that’s been made available to you. While some shy away from social media, others are continually active. Perhaps, by your sharing an encouraging word, an article or blog, or by posting an invite for prayer requests, it will open the door for you to minister to others, both young and old. There are times that your comments may be just what a person needs to hear in a crucial moment. You may not always know when “seeds” are planted or whether they’ll take root or not. You may not always know whose lives you’re speaking into at the time. Your responsibility lies in sharing the message of hope; God’s responsibility is to bring forth the harvest. Keep in mind that something you say in conversation (or share on FB) may not resonate with a person right away, but it may in time. Even when you may not “agree” with someone, keep the lines of communication open so that you will be able to share in those opportune moments. A word of caution, too, when choosing to “downsize your friend’s list on social media” as “unfriending” a person without just cause can be perceived as “rejection” and may close the door to being a positive influence in that person’s life. As a believer, you have a wonderful, life-giving message to share with others. Your story matters. When people see that “you’ve been where they are” they are more open to listening because they can see the difference Jesus can make. I Peter 3:15 (TLB) is our reminder of this: “Quietly trust yourself to Christ your Lord, and if anybody asks why you believe as you do, be ready to tell him, and do it in a gentle and respectful way.” One person can change the world when the world knows of the love of Christ. Be the one.

Bondage vs. Freedom Ask the average youth, “Are you in bondage?” They won’t know what you’re talking about. But this time of year, we witness the “trick or treat” syndrome, just a sample of the bondage to the flesh we wish to discuss. Bondage can refer to bondage of complaining, pity parties, false doctrine, worship of false gods, - entertainment, possessions, money or bondage to the law. For children and adults alike, many succumb to the bondage of their I Pad or electronic device. For children, it results in neglect of simple communication and a chance to exercise their body. An undisciplined life is not a free life; it’s a life of bondage to the flesh and whims and the events of life. Think about it. Is your life directed by the circumstances that seem to pile up in front of you or are you directed by the Holy Spirit? The carnal mind thinks that freedom means free to do his or her own thing, free to react the way they want, free to get angry, free to speak their mind. “I have my rights.” The freewill of
a man is always bound tightly to the grave clothes of the carnal heart, a heart which is deceitful and desperately wicked (Jer. 17:9). Freedom to do your own thing is not really freedom. True freedom means following Jesus Christ, following His teaching and example for not only our way of life but our thought pattern. Freedom means we are free from the desire of the “good old days,” free from bad habits, free from following the crowd, free from negative thoughts or speech, free from self. But if led by the spirit, we refuse to let negative thoughts, thoughts of the flesh, lust, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and unforgiveness. to cross our mind. To the natural mind, submitting to the laws of God rather than submitting to the whims of the flesh seems like a paradox. It boils down to two laws. Love thy God and love thy neighbor. When you walk in agape love you don’t stop to think how this action could or could not be an act of love. The scriptures lay out limits and boundaries of behavior. But the important thing about being led by the Holy Spirit, you
walk in love, you automatically walk within those limits.
God uses His Word to correct us, not to give us sickness or poverty.
The natural man can’t handle freedom. A Twoyear-old child given freedom will run into the street and get into all kinds of trouble. A teenager given a car to drive with total freedom will drive like crazy- Why do teenagers who have a car, get lower grades in school? Close to 100 percent fall into this trap.
The real you, the sprit man, never rebels at correction by the Holy Spirit for He knows it will build his spirit man. In fact, he thanks the Lord and says, “Lord thank you for revealing that fault in me.” (the Lord corrects whom he loves.)
College students- without regular study hours and daily assignments unless they have developed good study habits in high school, can’t handle the freedom of college life and many flunk out, not because of a low IQ but because they can’t manage their time. I watched this first hand in my eleven years of college teaching. Many adults can’t handle a sudden large sum of money; they spend it on luxuries. Close to 100 percent of lottery winners are broke within five years. Again, bondage to the flesh. Man is enslaved to the nature in which all flesh is born. Man has liberty to bear fruit, but only the fruit of what that tree is. And God said, let the earth bring froth fruit; the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind whose seed is in itself. The bible never equates submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit as a type of bondage. On the contrary, we are free from any bondage to the flesh. Let us read Hebrews 12:5-6, “and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, "MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM; FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES."
The Western man is so free, he fails to discern the true meaning of his own independence. Yet without the Holy Spirit at his side, he can’t handle that independence. In contrast, the Eastern man understands submission to a king. Consider what Paul wrote, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Cor. 5:17). Then, “You were bought with a price” (1 Cor. 7:23). If we could teach on how to be lead by the Holy Spirit, we would not have to teach on forgiveness, walking in love, and living in harmony with our brothers and sisters or even how to manage our finances. Yes, salvation is a free gift. You can’t work for it or earn it or even inherit it from your parents. It is a free gift of God (Rom 10:9). In contrast, the candy children receive on Halloween lead the children to believe in a hand-out. In practice, many children see how much candy they can accumulate in that evening. They get into a selfish mentality which can carry over into adult life where they expect the world owes them a living. They need to be taught about biblical giving and receiving. Remember the 1960’s when the youth manifested rebellion against authority. A large part of that movement stemmed from Dr. Benjamin Spock. Dr Spock’s books were criticized for propagating permissiveness and an expectation of instant gratification which
allegedly led young people to join these movements—claiming freedom, but which ended up as bondage to the flesh. His book, “Baby and Child Care” was a best seller. As a result, millions of parents quit disciplining their kids. “Woodstock” in 1969 added fuel to the fire of the 60’s as the decade of youth rebellion. Besides the 400,000 at Woodstock, thousands more youth embraced that rebellion against the “norm” philosophy of life taught and lived by
the rest of society. According to Wikipedia, the “Sixties” were characterized as a decade of irresponsible excess, flamboyance and decay of social order, a fall or relaxation of social taboos. To teach children about the deeds of the flesh and about the freedom they have in Christ is not an easy task. It really begins when the youth are young, where the parents discipline their offspring. It boils down to a continuous task until the children reach adulthood.

Carry Your Brother It is almost unbelievable that fall is just around the corner. School is back in, football is starting up and the leaves on the trees will begin to change color. One thing for certain in SW Missouri, if you do not like the weather, hang on, it’ll change soon. Another thing for certain, change is inevitable, with the exception of God. He never changes, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Now that is good news!! We live in a hectic, ever changing world, where even the strongest of us, can be overwhelmed. One of the greatest promises God has ever made to man is that “I will never leave you and I will never forsake you." It is a comfort knowing that no matter what I am going through, that God is with me and He is for me and knowing that His presence is bigger than any problem that I am going through. I have heard it said many times, “God will not give you more than you can handle." Maybe it is true that “God will not give" us more than we can handle, but it is not scriptural to say that we will not experience things in this life, that are way more than our ability to handle. Actually, we see Apostle Paul writing to the Corinthians in the second book Corinthians, chapter one. "We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead." Paul says that he was experiencing things far greater than his ability to handle. These circumstances forced Paul to stop trusting in his own abilities and trust in God alone. Finding ourselves in situations that seem impossible to overcome, is just a part of life. Knowing God is always with us, gives us strength to push forward in impossible circumstances. Another beautiful gift the Father has given us, is the church. Yes the church! The four walls filled with people every week. With all of her flaws, there is something special about the having likeminded believers to lift us up when we are down, to remind who we are when we forget, to love us when we do not feel loveable, and to pray with us when we face circumstances that are bigger than us. We have been going through the book of Daniel at our church, and in Chapter 2, we see Daniel facing impossible circumstances.
Daniel 2:17-19 NIV 17 Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of
heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven
The very first thing the great prophet Daniel does after encountering a situation bigger than him was go to like-minded believers and say, "PRAY." What a comfort it was to him and to us today, knowing that we have people around us that will seek the face of God on our behalf. The Bible says one will set a thousand to flight, but two will set ten thousand to flight. God made us part of His family so that we as His children would help carry each other through the storms of life. As a matter of fact, Paul writes, in Galatians 6, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." There is another example in the Bible that I love to use as an illustration. We look in Exodus chapter 17, and we see Joshua fighting the Amalekites as Moses had ordered. In this story, Moses climbs to the top of a hill to watch the battle. Something strange happens, as long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. So of course, Moses lifted his hands until he was too tired to lift them any longer. Then Aaron and Hur, come along side of Moses and each grabbed an arm and held those hands high. This speaks volumes to me on how God designed us to be victorious. Sometimes we have stood, prayed, believed and fought our way through battles, to the point, we no longer have the strength to stand any longer. This is when our brothers and sisters in Christ, comes and stands beside us, picks us up and carries us through our battles. Our victory is in Christ alone, but He gave us a family of believers to carry us past the finish line when we can no longer carry ourselves. In the Gospel of John, chapter 13 and chapter 15, Jesus gives a new command, “Love each other as I have loved you." But in chapter 13 He says, that people will know we are His disciples if we love one another. Love will always be moved to help others. Carrying our brothers through today’s hardships is the type of work that James is talking about when he said, “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” I encourage you today, if you are going through a hard time, reach out to a brother/sister in Christ, tell them you need someone to help carry you through the storm you are facing. If you know of someone that is going through a battle, I encourage you to reach out to them and remind them that they are not alone. That God is with them, and their family of God is to. There are so many wonderful ways being written about in this issue of our magazine about how to serve people in beautiful and creative ways that bring Christ to them. It is so true, as Mrs. Faye says, that a few with the advantage of a pulpit or similar avenue use it to preach against things. And it’s a bit wearing and tearing to just hear that negative input. Faith Unlimited has never approached its theme from a negative standpoint. And I pray these refreshing and thoughtprovoking articles provoke you, our readers, to either incorporate these great ideas or that they generate ideas of ways to reach out to friends, neighbors and the “whoevers” with the love of our wonderful Father. When I was pulling on the Holy Spirit for my direction this month, I knew I was supposed to delve into some of the facets of hospitality. When I was growing up “hospitality” was practiced but the word wasn’t common. At least, not in my hearing. My parents had people come to the house for “get-togethers,” but it was called a “party.” We had family over a lot, but that was just…family! I was married and had a family of my own before I realized that a lot of what I had experienced through the years was hospitality! First, I want to define hospitality according to dictionary.com: 1: the friendly reception and treatment of guests or strangers. 2: the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way. There are several references to hospitality in the bible including how Mary, Martha, and Lazarus often had their friend Jesus in their home for meals and camaraderie – and “bible study.”
In Luke 10 starting with verse 38 is the familiar story of Mary and Martha: "38 Now while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha received and welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was listening to His teaching. In her “True Woman” blog Christina Fox makes this observation, “Luke's contrasting description of Martha and Mary show us the proper function and place that hospitality serves in our lives. Here we see Jesus teaching and Mary sitting at his feet, learning from him. Martha was preparing and serving food. She was so focused on the details of hosting that she missed the reason why she was hosting guests, to begin with—so that they might learn from Jesus. This passage points us to the heart and purpose of hospitality: to share the Bread of Life with others.” As long as we are Christians, all our hospitality should be in some way “sharing the Bread of Life.” Even if it’s just with gracious inclusion in our moment, our day, our meal or even a spare bed (or, as some have done, giving up their own bed, sometimes.) And, of course, doing these things are not always convenient, easy, or even without a little extra cost. As does all our walk with the Lord it comes down to a matter of the heart, and a generous heart will always be blessed. Another way to say that – a generous heart – is a generous, or good, eye. Saying that someone has a good eye is the Hebrew way of saying they have a generous nature. Old English translations of Proverbs 22:9 translate it “He that has a bountiful eye shall be blessed” and “he that has a good eye will be blessed.” I have a Jewish friend who will refer to a generous person as having a good eye. On the other side of the coin, there is the bad eye. Matthew 20:15 says, “Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?” According to BiblicalHebrew.com – The phrase [good eye] is indeed a Hebrew idiom for generosity as 'evil eye' is for 'selfishness.' The Hebrew phrase (tôwbh-`ayîn) 'good eye' is used in Proverbs 22:9 where it is sometimes translated "a generous man." A good eye 'sees' a need and meets it. In modern English idiom, one might use "open handed" and "tight fisted.” … The Jewish commentators say, a 'good eye' means one that is liberal, and an 'evil eye' the contrary. Elsewhere one reads of 'trading, dedicating' and 'giving with a good' or 'an evil eye,' that is, either generously, liberally, or in a niggardly and grudging manner. I’m including John Piper’s description of an “evil eye” here because in it he is actually giving us a beautiful description of a “good eye:” What does the bad eye refer to in Matthew 20:15? It refers to an eye that cannot see the beauty of grace. It cannot see the brightness of generosity. It cannot see unexpected blessing to others as a precious treasure. It is an eye that is blind to what is truly beautiful and bright and precious and God-like. It is a worldly eye. It sees money and material reward as more to be desired than a beautiful display of free, gracious, God-like generosity. (desiringGod.org)
John Piper is a former Baptist pastor, the author of more than 50 books and the founder and leader of desiringGod.org. And I think his description is beautiful! That inspires me to become that person who does see the beauty of grace and the brightness of generosity. I know I want to see the unexpected blessing to others as a precious treasure, seeing what is truly beautiful and bright and precious and God-like! I’ve been told many a story of days gone by of people like the Ingalls family (Laura Wilder and “Little House on the Prairie”) and other families who said, “We don’t have fancy and we don’t have a lot to choose from, but what we have we will share.” People shared what they had during the Great Depression. They always “had enough” to feed a friend or a passerby in need. That’s true hospitality. I have a book titled, “Hey, God!” When he was a boy the author’s father had invited someone home for dinner. The mother was making spaghetti and was unprepared for the extra mouth to feed. There just wasn’t anything else in the house to eat! Often the way she started a discussion with God was with the words, “Hey, God!” I think that’s just how she handled this situation, too. It was one of those “oil in the vessels” miracles when the spaghetti just marvelously multiplied in the pot with every scoop! God is a God of hospitality! And He is a God of plenty of supply, too! Hebrews 13:2 reminds us not to be “forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Who knows how many times angels have actually been the guests at the table with God’s people? There was once a young couple named John and Mary. They were Norwegian immigrants who lived and ministered in the Midwest, Canada, and Brooklyn in the early 1900’s. Their daughter, Margaret Jenson, wrote about them in her book First We Have Coffee. Mama, as Margaret called her, often had some friend or neighbor come to her home where she was a very welcoming hostess even if her home was humble. “Mama gladly served everyone who came to her home with what she had -- sometimes only potatoes and gravy, soup, rye bread, apple pie made with apples after the brown spots were cut away, and always, always the Norwegian favorite -- coffee.” One thing that stuck with me was the statement that when ladies came to sit at Mama’s table to glean of her gentle wisdom, Mama always said, “First we have coffee.” Even though they brought their struggles, disappointments, and hardships Mama’s time with each lady wasn’t meant to be a “counseling” session. It was hospitality in action. Sitting at Mama’s table with a fresh cup of coffee, together with her welcoming heart and genuine smile, always generated hope and peace. The story of this thoughtful and gracious lady is one of the “seeds” planted in me to teach me hospitality even when there’s not a lot to offer the guests. I have also had friends who have planted seeds of hospitality in me. One couple that comes easily to mind are Mike and Genice Fulton. There was a time before we all ended up moving to various places of the globe that we lived in the same city and attended the same church. I thank God for that connection no matter how brief it was, because now it is eternal! Mike and Genice practiced hospitality in a wonderfully fun way. They often had us over for fish that he cooked himself outdoors. Genice served the “sides.” And, of course, dessert! Truly, their ministry of hospitality was very much a blessing! It was a time of food, yes. Of fun and laughter, yes. But also of sharing
the Word and insights from God and putting down roots of friendships with them and many others that endure today. I know it also taught their girls the gift of hospitality. What a legacy. And, while Romans 12:13 does say “…contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality,” it is also a ministry door for those who have yet to meet the loving Lord. In fact, I think James 2:14 is referring to hospitality as well as giving food and clothing to ones in need when he said, “14 Dear brothers, what’s the use of saying that you have faith and are Christians if you aren’t proving it by helping others? Will that kind of faith save anyone? 15 If you have a friend who is in need of food and clothing, 16 and you say to him, “Well, good-bye and God bless you; stay warm and eat hearty,” and then don’t give him clothes or food, what good does that do?” When James says, “Will that kind of faith save anyone,” he was not referring only to the kind of “saving” of eternal salvation. A simple act of hospitality can be all it takes to soften a heart toward Jesus and save them from, perhaps, being cold and hungry which will ultimately lead to the salvation of their eternal souls. I touched bases with a few of my friends to get their insights on hospitality and am sharing them with you, here, and each of you has your own contribution that you could add to this from your treasuries of hospitality: ● Willingly giving and sharing your time and/or possessions. (Clara Kobs) ● It means to make someone feel welcome no matter where you are. That is how I feel if you’re in a restaurant or church or even work – that they feel welcomed around you. (Gayle Long) ● Hospitality starts with love for your fellow man. One who wants to serve and be a blessing to someone. It's what/how a Christian should do and act. (Penny Marrone) ● To me hospitality is a couple of things... being gracious, preparing something special, being warm and welcoming. But most of all, to me, it means listening to the person and the Holy Spirit and picking up on hints/clues for needs. Then, providing those needs either directly to them &/or indirectly. People can be so hurt and appear all together. I love binding up the broken hearted! It can be something as simple as a card or having flowers delivered....it isn't the "thing"...it's the love behind it. (Genice Fulton) ● For me showing hospitality means giving to the best of your abilities with no expectations. Also, it is two-fold. For example, we were shown hospitality by many foreign countries that we lived in. No matter where we were to show honor in these countries we obeyed their laws. We checked out their customs to honor them. We didn’t cause any trouble, and we befriended the people. We did our best to show our appreciation for the hospitality shown us by making an effort to fit in as best we could. We always responded showing our gratitude. (Suellyn Sparks) Here are some more “golden nuggets” supplied by the Word: ● "Be hospitable without complaint!" (I Peter 4:9) (I believe – like you do – that if we complain it isn’t very hospitable!) ● “Take a constant interest in the needs of God's beloved people and respond by helping them. And eagerly welcome people as guests into your home” (Romans 12:13 ) And another friend (Pam Robinson) summed her heart concerning hospitality with this golden nugget, “It is more blessed to give than receive! We cannot outgive God!” (Acts 20:25)
Speaking of “golden,” I am reminded, here, of the “rule” I was raised on: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This is a spiritual principle! Sometimes our elders’ wise little sayings were just handed down, but this one is actually in the Word. Jesus gave this command in His Sermon on the Mount in Luke 6:31. And I’ll back up one verse where He precedes the Golden Rule saying in verse 30: “ Give away to everyone who begs of you [who is in want of necessities], and of him who takes away from you your goods, do not demand or require them back again.” Of course, that can be interpreted one of two different ways. One would be to see it as a person who takes our goods without our permission. If our heart isn’t in that giving, then we’re merely being taken from. But if we opt to say within our hearts, “I won’t allow that to be a “taken” thing, so I voluntarily give it,” suddenly it’s a seed of love sown into that person! It not only falls into that category but it also sets us free from becoming the victim in our minds. But that’s another subject. I’m looking at that directive from the hospitality frame of mind. And that’s the second way we could interpret it. To me, then, the end of verse 30 is saying that when you give don’t require them to do the same for you. Do not require that the deeds or the goods be repaid. God does repay. He keeps good books, and we don’t have to! Sometimes to “Give away to everyone who begs of you [who is in want of necessities]” is not sacrificial but sometimes it is. The Macedonians gave to the apostle Paul sacrificially, and they were recorded into a sort of “Hall of Generosity” when he honored them in 2 Corinthians 8. What made their giving possible was they gave themselves first to the Lord and only then to Paul (v. 5). Their first and foremost concern was how best to serve Christ. That is how they exceeded Paul's expectations. To me, they would have taken in the people that they sent the gifts too if that had been the need. They shared their goods with them as though they were family – because they were. They would certainly have warmly welcomed them in their church and their company of worshipers. Hospitality at its simplest is giving ourselves first to the Lord and then giving to people out of that deep well of love whatever we have, and that mirrors Jesus’ own heart toward them. When He comes first, then they come first, again, before ourselves. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 tells us to be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. As James said, this faith will lead to their salvation! Faith? Yes…. When our hospitality is born of love and faith – for everything should be done in faith – then what that seed sown in them will produce is a vision to them of Christ. Praying through and writing this article has touched a chord in me and I pray it has in others, as well. And who knows how that one little seed will affect one life? It may seem like nothing but in fact be a spark to so much more, affecting uncounted other lives. So, I pray over all of us that we get God-ideas to show His heart in this ministry – the ministry of hospitality!

Carrying the Gospel
Go ye therefore, the command that Jesus gave the Disciples is an action command. The question here to ask is, “Why am I going?” In Matthew 28:19, It is charging the followers of Christ to teach (Disciple) and Baptize those new believers in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. In my humble opinion as a Minister of the Gospel, though I have enjoyed over 13 years of radio ministry in different avenues, physically being there in front of your audience is the best way to carry the gospel. It is the person to person example that Jesus left us as He journeyed about doing His Father’s business. God, of course, has the ability to take one page of His Holy word and carry it with the wind to land at the feet of a hungry soul. I have read stories of some of the most effective missionaries to hostile lands that learned of Jesus Christ digging scriptures out of garbage cans, cleaning the feces off of them and being changed by those powerful messages from Heaven. For you and me to be effective in carrying the Gospel, we must first completely receive it. The unbeliever often knows by our delivery to them if we submit to the word of God. Yes, there have been some imitations in the past of preachers and gospel teachers. These are those the Bible warns of, wolves in sheep’s clothing. I have in my short lifetime come across those that have sounded real, but something just wasn’t right. I have to warn you that there will be those who will try to take from these truths and replace God’s word with a more convenient gospel. It is like trading real gold for painted cardboard. Can you imagine somehow coming across great riches, possibly a truck load? Then someone comes along with cardboard painted gold and say, I will give you this for what you have found. Do not fall for this trickery.
The Holy Bible is the inspired word of God. Any cult or religion that says you need a magazine or possibly another book of anything, dismiss these lies straightaway. It is urgent that we hold tight to the truth. If we as Christians are to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ we must read it; we must go to places where it is being preached. We must thirst for this living water and hunger for this bread of life. It is then, THEN, we can actually carry this blessed hope to mankind.
Romans 10:14: How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
As a little boy, I would go to my grandmother’s tent revivals. The Spirit of the Lord would be powerful in those meetings. People would drive or even walk for miles to hear the messages and receive prayer for the needs in their lives. Grandma would say, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” Often, He would reveal Himself by signs and wonders. Preaching though it is one of the simplest, is the most effective way to deliver God’s word to the world. Imagine that God had not sent His Son and we could not know His plans for our salvation. We would all still be in total darkness spiritually. We would in our own frail and imperfect way attempt to reach to God. It would be to no avail. It would be like trying to use a slingshot to hit the moon. It could have never been possible to have an intimate relationship with God except Jesus Christ came in human form to set us on this path, to be citizens of Heaven, children of the most High God. Carry the word my dear friends not just on Sundays, but every single day let it be in our hearts and waiting to be spoken from our lips to those in need in our world. I ministered yesterday morning to a congregation about, our voice. One of the things God allowed me to share was, “God’s word is a foreign language to the unbeliever.” We are the translators. Whether or not you feel your calling is to be a preacher, I dare you to “Go ye..” and be the translator to a world that needs now, more than ever, to know what God has to say through His Holy words.

Why is God's Word so Important? I try to imagine life without God. But for me, it's hard. If you would, try to think, imagine, or even dream about what it might be like without God. Where do you get? As I get older, I come to realize that I would not be as prosperous as I am now, without God. He is the very reason why I am so heathy, blessed, and alive. That didn't just happen by chance, or just luck! Everything happens for a purpose, God never makes mistakes or accidents. Just say, I go to church every time the doors are open, I serve the pastor and his family, but I never care to put what he teaches in action. That is not heeding God's word. Because you act like the perfect servant of the church, people want, and will look up to you and say, “That’s how I want to be." I have had it preached, drilled, and pounded into my head, DO NOT have "Multiple Me's." A youth pastor once told me, “If I am too tall to scrub toilets, I am too small for my true calling." Those words stuck with me ever since he spoke it to my face. We need to fully use God's word in our lives. Not for a little while, but forever. God wants us, he wants us more than we could ever want something. Give your life to Jesus. You will not regret it.

Vegan Diet
Q 1. What is the difference between Vegetarian diet and Vegan Diet? Ans 1. A Vegetarian diet is the one which contain no meat (pork, beef, chicken, mutton, poultry, or fish.) They are naturally low in saturated fat, high in fiber, and full of vitamins, minerals, and cancer-fighting compounds. A multitude of scientific studies have shown that vegetarian diets have remarkable health benefits and can help prevent certain diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. On the other hand, a Vegan Diet contain no animal products (meat, dairy, eggs, or other animal products), and they are even healthier than vegetarian diets. The only difference between the both is that a Vegan diet does not include dairy and eggs. Vegan diets contain no cholesterol and even less fat, saturated fat, and calories than vegetarian diets. Q2. Is it healthy for us to be on Vegan Diet? Ans 2. My answer is definitely yes. A Vegan diet is safe and healthy for any stage of life, including infancy, childhood, adolescence, and even during pregnancy days. Plant-based diets can easily provide all essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that growing children and mothers-to-be need. Simply have a variety of whole grains, beans, vegetables, and fruits, and be sure to include a daily source of vitamin B12, such as any common multiple vitamin. Plant-based diets have many important health advantages: Vegans enjoy a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, and some types of cancer. Since eating habits are
established in early childhood, choosing a vegan diet can give your child the opportunity to enjoy a variety of nutritious foods—and to carry those healthy eating habits into adulthood.
Q3. How do I get protein on a vegan diet? Do I need to combine proteins? Ans 3. Protein is an important nutrient required for the building, maintenance, and repair of tissues in the body. As long as the diet contains a variety of grains, legumes, and vegetables, protein needs are easily met. Especially proteinrich vegan foods include soy-based products like tofu, tempeh (a fermented soybean product), seitan (a meat substitute made from a wheat protein called gluten), black beans, lentils, chickpeas, grains such as quinoa and bulgur, and whole-wheat bread. Q4. How do I get enough calcium on a vegan diet? What about osteoporosis? Ans 4. By eating calcium-rich vegan foods, including leafy green vegetables such as broccoli and kale, white beans, fortified soymilks and juices, and a variety of fruits and vegetables, you can obtain all the calcium your body needs. But keeping your bones strong and avoiding osteoporosis depends on more than calcium intake—you also need to keep calcium in your bones. Exercise and vitamin D help keep the calcium in your bones, while animal protein, excess salt and caffeine, and tobacco can cause calcium loss.
Q5. Is it possible to lower blood pressure with a Vegan diet? Ans 5. Changing the way you eat can often lower your blood pressure and reduce the need for any type of medication. You can also lower your blood pressure by losing some weight, limiting the consumption of alcohol, avoiding tobacco, and becoming physically more active. People who follow vegetarian and vegan diets typically have lower blood pressure. This is Dewanshu Ahlawat, a Certified Nutritionist with 24 other certifications. The Spirit of Boldness
"I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved." Psalm 16:8-9
Some call this, the boldness of faith. Well, that is good. The Spirit of boldness is one virtue that proceeds from the presence of God as the river of life preceding out of the throne of God and of the lamb, which is meant for the healing of the saints. Many people have the desire to “Go” all out and accomplish the heart-beat of heaven for their lives by preaching the gospel to the poor, healing the sick, casting out demons, opening blind eyes, cleansing the lepers; and raising the dead, free of charge. However, one thing in particular scares them all the time, and it makes them rescind from their decisions. And that one thing is “fear.” The major problem with fear is this; “What will others say about me and what if I fail?” Others are so mindful about the kind of mockery they will go through because of their ego and prestige. Sometimes when I see people of that nature I would just smile, because these are the same people in the Church who are very influential. The Pharisees were so influential in defending their traditions and customs, but never on defending the name of the Lord at any cost. As far as Jesus would go or do, He meant nothing to them any more than a mere son of a Carpenter, who just wants to be famous and make a name for Himself at their expense.
They were not bold enough to submit to Him; even though they had seen, right before their eyes, what God had wrought through Him. And even though they, themselves were bearing witnesses that what He was doing was from God, they could not stand with Him, nor for Him at any point in time. They would look to Him, right at His face and smile in their minds. How hypocritical these Pharisees were, all because they lacked boldness. Boldness is one thing that makes a sinner accept that he or she has sinned and turned to the Lord. Boldness is one thing that makes someone who offended a friend, a neighbor, a brother, a cousin, a relative, turns to him to apologize to say to that brother, “forgive me,” I have offended heaven and have offended you. Brother, though you are younger, older, or even my age, I say I am sorry, please forgive me. It is boldness that will turn the heart of a King, President, Prime Minister, Member of a Parliament, a musician, a renowned footballer, or even a ground occultist, a member of a Freemasonry group, an Armed Robber, or even a rapist, a fraudulent Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher, or even an Evangelist, a Muslim, a pagan, or Hindu, a witch, or a Fetish Priest; into serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? Because they know in their hearts, even in their secret chambers of their heart, and they are told in their meetings that there is a superpower which people in the Christian world have not even discovered, which is found in the power in the name of Jesus Christ. The bible reveals that at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, including things in Heaven, Earth, and under the Earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. This is major threat of which most people various groups of people fail to turn and submit themselves to the Lord; is the narrow path that Jesus is pointing everyone to pass through and be saved. Most of these categories are being threatened with weak curses, void covenants, and so on. We name them all; yet many people who engage themselves in evil secret societies, often do so because of money. Some have gotten their all they need and want to come out from those type of activities, but they are afraid of what people will say about them. They fear because of the money they may loose and the disgrace they may experience as a result of following the Lord. But Jesus says, “What shall it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and loose his own soul? What shall he give in exchange for his soul?” Why are you being crippled by what you know yourself, which is that it cannot save your soul? Remember this, you are not the only person in this world who been tempted with riches, fame, food, and more. Jesus was also tempted with all those things, but He overcame them all. So, are you threatened with death? What did Goliath, King Nebuchadnezzar, and Pharaoh do? What did the Pharisees and even Roman soldiers do to Christ? What happened at the end? In Psalm 16, David reveals a great mystery about choosing to stay with the Lord Jesus and the great boldness that precedes after encountering Him. David said that “because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” Come, taste and see that the Lord is Gracious!

I know I am a sinner. I thank you for dying on the cross for me. I confess with my mouth. I believe in my heart that you are the Son of God. I believe you are the Lord and that God raised you from the dead. Please, forgive me of my sins. Wash my heart clean. Come live in my life. Be the Lord of my life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Teach me to walk with you and live for you the rest of my life. Thank you for saving me and for giving me the gift of eternal life in Heaven with you. Amen.
Please remember, Father God’s love is unconditional. Pray for all the victims around the world that have been affected by flooding, fires, and other things. That is our job, our responsibility‌to help the hurting. Romans 8:19-23 (NKJV) 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
