Special Father’s Day Edition!
The Shekinah Glory of God By: Dr. Bill Hanshew 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 says, “13Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, 14so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
I was raised in and around the days of great Pentecostal revivals. In the 1960’s and 70’s we experienced powerful moves of God, with great manifestations of the Shekinah glory of God. Today it seems that many have forgotten about true worship, about entertaining His presence with our praise, or even waiting in His glory as we worship. It is absolutely scriptural and necessary that we, the
church both as the individual and the corporate body of Christ give ourselves to God in our worship.
“The church should sing and declare, “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever!” Dr. Bill
We must take time for Him and give opportunity for God’s presence to manifest in a greater dimension than what we’ve ever known. The body of Christ (the church) is identified both as the individual and the corporate body of Christ. And although God’s presence dwells within us, there are times as we worship when the Holy Spirit manifests Himself in a greater way or a greater dimension than we are used to. God’s house of worship (individually and corporately) should be filled with continuous manifestations of His glory. Yet in this day and time, we attend a house of worship and yet at the same time, we are a house of worship. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, “19Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in your, whom you have from, God, and you are not your own? 20for you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit,, which are God’s.” Therefore, our body and spirit was created to worship God. And we express our worship by singing, with dancing and in lifting holy hands to exalt His name. In the Old Testament, when the worshippers came together, the glory of God was ushered in because of their purity of heart and their worship. Believers today desires the glory of God to come down or to manifest, but many are not interested in any artificial glory. When there is no glory manifesting in the church, leaders will often attempt to improvise and try to create programs or gadgets that
keep folks entertained with something to replace God’s glory. Even at creation, the first thing God did was clothe man in His glory. Genesis 2:25 says, “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” Adam and his wife were naked physically, yet they were clothed supernaturally with “the glory of God.” But when they sinned, Genesis 3:7 says, “Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.” The covering of God’s glory was lifted, so they made for themselves, imitation or artificial coverings because their supernatural covering or glory was removed. In 2 Chronicles 5:11 it says, “And it came to pass when the priests came out of the Most Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their divisions).” There is something to be said about faithful church attendance, especially when the minister shows up…right? Yet the minister cannot do corporate worship alone. Verses 12-13 says, “12and the Levites who were the singers {the praise & worship team}, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets—13indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one {which speaks of unity}, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,” It is ok for the music or the worship to be heard. It is absolutely necessary for the singers to be in their place as well as the musicians to be tuned up, prayed up, in unity
Dr. Bill Hanshew and ready to worship as they make some noise up in His house. Again, we are the house or temple of the Lord. But the place we meet at each week is also the corporate meeting place or house of the Lord. Then the church should sing and declare, “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever.” In the New Covenant, the glory of God lives inside each individual believer. And Jesus has washed us clean by His own blood, so that we can offer up praise and worship with a pure heart. Hebrews 13:15 says, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is,, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” God’s people, should worship Him with everything that is within them, and they should bless the Lord through praise & worship, using every available resources God has given them. The church today (individually and corporately) cannot survive without God’s Shekinah glory manifesting among us on a regular basis. We need greater visitations from the presence of the Lord. Adam & Eve had regular visitations from God. Genesis 3:8 says, “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” They knew the sound of God approaching for a daily visit with His creation.
Yet they purposely “hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God.” It is time to once again, entertain the glory of God with our worship and not just rush to get it done. This is one reason why the church (individually) must worship together (corporately) in God’s presence. It is because of His Shekinah glory manifesting in our worship, in our preaching and in our fellowship with Him that causes the church to be the church today.
2 Chronicles 5:14 says that as they worshipped, “…the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.” …Think about it! Until next time, “Let Jesus be the Lord over everything in your life today and Stay Connected to Him!” … Declaring your Breakthrough!

Happy Birthday Brother George Babu, May your day be full of blessings! God Bless You!
Sticky Situations for Kids Hi Kids!
How are you? So, I was thinking, Father’s Day is coming up pretty fast! Do you have any ideas on what to do for him? If not, here are a few! 1: Make him a homemade card and tell him “Happy Father’s Day! I Love You!” 2: Find ways to collect extra money and take him out to eat! 3: Find something you both enjoy. For example, boys, if he likes football, and you like football, go outside and throw one around for an hour or two. Girls, if you enjoy swimming or just sitting and talking, swim or sit and talk with him! Show him that you love him! I love Father’s Day. I don’t exactly have a Father, but I do have my Grandpa! I love to goof around with him, even if it annoys him! He will usually annoy me back! I like to play chess with him. He usually wins, but we have had a draw! I love him so much! I don’t know what I would do without him! Happy Father’s Day Grandpa! I love you! ♥ ♥ ♥
Happy Father’s Day! June is the month for Father’s Day in the USA. Fathers are very important in the lives of their children. Father’s Day is celebrated at different times of the year in different countries. However, we are taking this opportunity to say, “Happy Father’s Day to all of you Fathers!” You are a very important man! May God bless you!!! Deuteronomy 6:6-9 “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

GOD’S PERFECT PLAN By: Kathy Weddle Ever heard the testimony of someone who decided NOT to have an abortion? Read this testimony of a young girl who was torn from every which way. Then God stepped in, when no one else could! Not knowing what to do, it was April 1969. I had gone to a youth retreat with the youth group at a church I was on the verge of joining. I'd never been popular at school; liked well enough, but not the girl everybody wanted to be with. I don't know what happened that weekend but there was a shift and somehow I was the center of all the attention. At 15, of course that put me in Heaven. It seemed like (and this was confirmed recently!) most of the boys wanted to "go with me". I had never had that kind of attention before. But I already had my eye on a particular boy; tall and good looking, he kept himself apart from the other kids. Charlie. By weekend's end we were "an item", although he was quick to let me know he'd never gone with a "younger woman" before. I was 14 1/2. He was a whole 22 months older. I had been blessed with the most wonderful Christian parents and upbringing. An only child, they had pinned all their hopes on me. At that point, everything pointed to music; I was already at college level in piano and flute; training for concert pianist and the Kansas City Philharmonic. Once Charlie came in the picture, though, all that changed. I was in LOVE, I thought. My attention, which had always centered on music, changed to what was developing into a classic Romeo and Juliet romance. It was, I thought, amazing. Then the unthinkable happened. Charlie and his dad were at odds in a big way, so, in order to get away and prove himself a real man, he enlisted in the Marine Corps as soon as he turned 18 February 19th, 1970. But "they", the awful parents, were trying to separate us, and now, as I realized he was going off to war, in true Juliet fashion, I wanted to "have his
baby to carry on his name". So we got pregnant. Yes, we. All too often, the girl sound like she got pregnant all by herself. By the time this was confirmed, Charlie was far away in Boot camp. My parents were devastated. The leaders in my church were devastated; after all, I had such a promising future.
Kathy Weddle In 1970, abortion was not yet a subject in the church. No one knew anything about it except for hearing about women going to back alley rooms and getting "operated" on with coat hangers. There were no morals or standards established....yet. One of the doctors Mom and Dad took me to give me a shot to "help start my period". I shudder to think what it actually was. It didn't work. So he suggested they take me to Colorado for an abortion. The states were legalizing it one by one, and Colorado was the closest to us.
“The strange thing was that without any teaching or having seen any corresponding Scripture, I was fully aware this was murder.” - Kathy At this point I had no say so as a minor child. They could have me declared unfit to be a mother due to a lack of maturity or unable to bear a child safely
due to still being so underdeveloped physically. The strange thing was that without any teaching or having seen any corresponding Scripture, I was fully aware this was murder. They were so confused. Looking back, it's hard not to take all the guilt back from having produced such pain in them. My dad had retired some months earlier, but got bored, so he'd picked up a part time job as a janitor at another church in their denomination. Right before we were to leave for Colorado, he was emptying the trash and one of the denominations magazines fell out on the floor, OPENED to what was one of the FIRST articles about when life begins. Dad took it home to Mom, and they cancelled the trip to Colorado. God had stepped in and saved the life of my son by providing the revelation my parents so badly needed. I got close enough to know the feeling of impending disaster at what we nearly did.
Years later, the security company I was Dispatch Supervisor for, got a contract with the 2 biggest abortion providers in the region. The need for security was to provide escort for the "doctor" to and from the clinics, and stand guard during operating hours. Why? Because of all the antiabortion activists who stood on the sidewalk and SCREAMED at the people coming and going "God hates you", "Murderer", "You'll rot in Hell", etc. the majority of the activists were well intended Christians "taking a stand". Would you like to know how many babies they saved? None. Not one. I won't even go into the damage bombing these places did. Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see every one of them wiped off the planet; but not like that. Jesus never reached anyone by screaming hate at them. He approached every person in agape love, and met them where they were. There were guards I'd been witnessing to that walked away from salvation because of the hypocritical behavior of Christians in those places. And yet, I know they meant well. They weren't considering how Jesus would have handled it, how it would add to the damage the women were already doing, how many souls would turn away from Christ at the site of Christians hating; they only reacted to the horrible nightmare of the sin of abortion. It would be years before Christians began to realize that approaching women with their hands extended in God's love and giving alternatives to the predicament the women were in was the "more excellent way". Abortion is vile and evil to its core; there are really no words to adequately describe it. It must be fought from the pulpit, in the legislature, taking every legal and moral avenue possible. But where these precious, and yes, I mean precious, women who Jesus died to save, we must deal with in the same love He dealt with us; unconditional. Here's the hardest part....even if they went through with it. Yes, even then. I am so grateful the Lord stepped in and stopped my abortion; I cannot imagine what the knowledge of killing their grandchild would have done to my parents when they eventually found out. I would want someone there to help them back to God's grace. We need laborers for this harvest. It takes a special kind of Christian to be this kind of a missionary. Are you that kind?

Healing was paid for At the Cross By: Jimmy Patillo “But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him: and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38 I want to thank Pastor Faye for the opportunity to share my testimony and give honor and glory to the Majestic and Holy One Who sits upon the throne of the Universe. In Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). He upholds all things by the Word of His power (Heb. 1:3). The Heavens are His throne and the earth is His footstool (Acts 7:49). He is so great the heaven and heaven
of heavens cannot contain Him (2 Chron. 2:6), yet He is so personal He lives within you and me! It was the summer of 1985, and I had been diagnosed with kidney disease. I was not aware that my kidneys were deformed from birth. To make matters worse, my urethra tube was protruding into one of my kidneys and not draining my kidney properly. The infection was literally rotting out my kidney. It was not unusual for me to go to the restroom and urinate blood. I realize these are gross details, but the facts are the facts. I was in a horribly desperate situation. My renown Urologist told me I would need two surgeries: the first one on one kidney one summer, and if that surgery went well, I was to then have another surgery on the other kidney the next summer. I was told I could very well be on a dialysis machine by the age of thirty. I was raised in a classical Pentecostal pastor’s home. My father, who passed away the
same year I was diagnosed, had been in denominational leadership all my life. It’s what I had always known. I had seen miraculous things happen. The Spirit of God was free to move in our services. Though I have long moved on from that particular denomination, I am grateful for the godly heritage I have. It was in one of those services where the Spirit of God was moving that my life was forever changed. One Sunday morning, there was a long prayer line, and God was moving in our midst. I am also a musician and was on the platform playing the bass guitar. An elderly lady, an old Pentecostal preacher, came forward on her walker and pointed to me and wanted me to come down to the prayer line. I saw her but was thinking, “There is NO WAY I’m going down there!” So I turned my head and pretended I didn’t see her (have a little mercy on me ok? lol). After church, I saw her headed my way. I knew I couldn’t run forever so I decided to take it like a man. She came up to me and said,
“Jimmy, I believe if you had come down there God would have healed you.” I humbly received her correction and told the Lord, “I’m sorry Lord. I’ll go up there next time if you give me another chance.” Please note, I was fifteen years old. I hadn’t come into the knowledge of Divine Healing that I have today. The next Sunday morning we had a service almost identical to the previous Sunday. There was a prayer line, God was moving in our midst, the elderly lady came to the front and called me down there. This time I went. There was a “tongue and an interpretation” that said, “I have healed you...” among other things. I can’t remember the other words, all I knew was there was a tongue and interpretation immediately after they prayed for me. In faith I received it as a direct Word from God to me. God had said He had healed me! That was
I was scheduled for surgery 8 days later. I couldn’t reach my doctor to tell him I didn’t need an operation…. enough for me! I tell you of a truth, upon receiving God’s Word to me in faith, I have not had another symptom! That day the healing that Christ Jesus so graciously provided for me by His atonement approximately
2,000 years earlier, was completely and gloriously manifested in my body. “Now unto the King, eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, [be] honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen” (1 Tim. 1:17). The story continues. I Melissa and Jimmy Patillo was scheduled for going to take some more x-rays surgery eight days later. I and see if God has healed you couldn’t reach my doctor to tell or not!” I checked out of the him I didn’t need an operation, hospital. On Wednesday I went so I checked into the hospital into his office and took some xthe following Sunday afternoon. rays. Two weeks later I received He came into my room about a phone call from him. He said, 8:00 P.M. and said, “Jimmy, are “Jimmy, the doctors at the you ready for surgery? We start Children’s Hospital in Little at 7:00 A.M.” I said, “No sir, Rock want you to come up I’m not. I don’t need an there. They want to see what operation.” He said, “What do has happened to you.” To make you mean you don’t need an a long story short, my family operation?” I said, “God has and I went to Little Rock. I healed me. I want some more xdrank some dye and lay down rays.” He said, “I have all the xon an x-ray machine for an rays I need.” I said, “Sir, you hour. After that, the Chief have x-rays before God healed Radiologist at the Children’s me. I want some new x-rays Hospital told me and my now.” The doctor was visibly immediate family, “Jimmy, upset. He went into the hallway your kidneys are perfect; there where my mother was and said, is nothing wrong with your “Mrs. Patillo, Jimmy thinks kidneys!” I went home. Two God has healed him.” My weeks later I get a call from my mother said, “Yes sir. God has Urologist. He said, “Jimmy, the healed him.” The doctor said, doctors at the children’s “Ok” and came back into the hospital in Little Rock believe, room. He said to me, “Jimmy, I as I do, that you don’t need an want you to come to my office operation.” I wasn’t trying to be on Wednesday morning; we’re
rude to him, but I wanted him to acknowledge what God had done. I said, “So that means God has healed me then, doesn’t it?” There was a pause on the other end of the line and then he said with emphasis, “That is exactly what it means!” Beloved, God is not a respecter of persons. What He has done for others, He will do for you. Declare in faith the Word of God that He is still the God that healeth you (Ex.15:26); that “You shall come to your grave
in a full age like as a shock of corn cometh in its season” (Job 5:26); that He will take sickness from the midst of you and the number of your days He will fulfill (Ex. 23:25-26); that He has “redeemed you from every sickness and every plague” (Deut. 28:61 and Gal. 3:13). I dare you to declare “As your days, so shall your strength be” (Deut 33:25). The Lord God of the Heavens has declared that “I will give you strength and bless you with peace” (Ps. 29:11); He
said, “no plague shall come near your dwelling” (Ps. 91:10); He said, “I will satisfy you with long life” (Ps. 91:16); He said, “I sent My word and healed you and delivered you from your destructions” (Ps. 107:20); You shall not die, but live, and declare His works (Ps. 118:17). His words are life to you, and health to all your flesh (Pr. 4:22). He bore your sickness, He carried your pains, and by His stripes you are healed (Isa. 53)!

The attack on the Word and the Spirit By: Kim Miller There is an attack on the Word and the Holy Spirit against believers individually and the body of Christ corporately. Satan knows that we need both to live victoriously on Earth and to win others to Jesus. These days, life is very fast paced. We live in a society where technology is abundant and increasing. There are many distractions. It's easy for us to allow our time in God's word and prayer to take a back seat. The power of God is available to the believer, but if we do not walk in it to the degree that God wants us to, we are not abiding in Him through prayer and study of His word. John 15:4 says, “Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch
cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” Our flesh will dominate us, instead of our spirits. Carnality holds us back in our personal walk with the Lord and in fulfilling the great commission. We must decide daily that we are going to make God and His word first place in our lives. There is and always has been an attack against the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Satan loves a lack of knowledge and fear when it comes to praying in our prayer language! We should never fear anything that comes from God. James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” Luke 11:13 says, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” There are many benefits to
Kim Miller praying in the Holy Spirit. Here are just a couple of them. Jude v.20 says, “ But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” Praying in tongues helps us be built up and helps us to control our flesh. Romans 8:26 says, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered.” And, verse 27 goes on to say, “He makes intercession according to the will of God.” When we pray in the Spirit, we are praying the perfect prayers and accomplish much. I encourage you to pray in the Holy Spirit daily. Jesus left us the Holy Spirit and this wonderful prayer language. If we didn't need the Holy Spirit and what He offers, Jesus wouldn't have given Him. He knows best. There is an attack corporately against the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. These days more and more "user
friendly" churches are popping up. They only preach messages that make the congregation feel comfortable. They don't address the issue of sin, or encourage holiness. The devil knows that sin is a destroyer, so he loves this! It is God's goodness that leads us to repentance and the Word of God hasn't changed. God wants us to experience all He has for us that abundant life Jesus purchased. Sin is destructive, dangerous, and will hold us back. Ministers are to speak the truth of God's word in love, so that people can be free. The opportunity to repent is God's love for us. Thank God Jesus paid the price for sin!
allow the Holy Spirit to have His way. They stick to their own agenda and program. There aren’t any gifts of the Spirit allowed to operate which grieves the Spirit of God and His word commands us not to do so. The lines of Christianity are becoming blurred and there is an attack to compromise God's word. I know of several people who say they are Christians and go to churches. They are supposed to be Bible believing, but their moral standards and the things that they accept as being all right, are not in line with God's word, such as homosexuality, abortion, etc. God loves all those who participate in these things, but
Many churches also don't
Gary and Kim Miller
they are sin. There is forgiveness and freedom to all those who will receive. There have been times in my own personal experience that I was accused of “not walking in love" because I preach what the word says. I've been told that I have no right to tell people they are sinning. You see, as ministers of the gospel, it is our responsibility not to compromise God's Word. We shouldn't get into extremes. If we stick with His Word, we will not get into extremes and will be preaching the truth. I encourage you all today, whether you are a layperson or a minister, to stick with God's Word. Spend time with Him daily studying and praying. Renew your mind in it. Be a doer of His Word. You will then be a powerful force to reach others for Jesus!
The Positive Message of Love Psalms 133:1-3 -
By: Pastor Faye Hanshew 1
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! 2
It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. 3
It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. I would like to address the Christian community. As a Christian, I have become somewhat concerned about how Christians treat other Christians. By this, I mean Christians from different countries. I have heard several “Christians of all colors” talk about other nations and say something like, “We have plenty of people right here in the USA that needs help without us sending money to foreign countries.” Now, before you just click off, please read the rest. God created Adam in HIS image. Where did he create Adam? In the Garden of Eden. Where is the Garden of Eden? Well, scientists are still trying to prove the exact location. But the only scripture I find in the Bible is in Genesis 2:10-14. In this
scripture it mentions four rivers. The Pishon, the Gihon, the Tigris, and the Euphrates. Two of these rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates, if they are the same ones talked about in the Bible, are in the Middle East. So, let’s just say for theory’s sake that the Garden of Eden was in the Middle East. That would be where God created man. Humm….That means our forefather, Adam, was created in the Middle East. But actually, there is only ONE race. The Africans, Asians, Indians, Caucasians, those from the UK, Jews, and all others are not different races. They are actually just different ethnicities of the HUMAN race! Depending on the type of church you grew up in, most likely they had a “missions program.” The money that was collected for that program was then sent to foreign lands to help support children, build churches, and support missionaries in other countries. I remember as a child, some missionaries from Mexico came to our church. My dad purchased a picture made on velvet for me. I cherished that picture for years and years just because it came from a missionary. Just a few weeks ago, I went and
heard a precious couple who are missionaries to the Navajo Indians here in the United States. I have much respect for missionaries. They put their heart and soul into their work. They go without luxuries that some people would not think of going without, they live in homes or huts that some would never think of living in, and they sometimes have to walk in areas that are not safe. According to the Bible, we are supposed to help the people right here in the United States and our brothers and sisters in other lands too! Don’t get me wrong, I love the USA because of the freedom we have to worship God. Some countries have not had, and some still do not have, have that luxury of freedom as we do. What I am talking about is Christian vs Christian. We kind of expect people who are not Christians to act like they are not Christians. And, does not the Bible says we should love one another? Does that mean whites loves only whites, or blacks love only blacks? No!
It means humans love humans! When will people put love first and ethnicity last? In my opinion, Christians should love‌period! And a Christian that does not love ALL people is not practicing the true love of God. And that, my friend, is the Positive Message of Love! Faye Hanshew

Dear Readers of “The Shepherd’s Voice” magazine, Thank you for your love and patience you have shown to me while doing the layout and editing for the beginning (May, 2014) Issue. As I was preparing the June, 2014 issue of “The Shepherd’s Voice” magazine, God spoke a new direction to my husband and me for our ministry. Because of this and other reasons, I will no longer be working with Bro. George on this magazine. He mentioned that he could do the magazine, so be watching for more upcoming issues. Thank you also to all who have contributed to the magazine with your articles, notes, recipes, etc. May God bless all of you!
