CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Management Team 9/14; City Council 9/17; Visited Ferguson Appliances with Community & Economic Development Director David Rast to research appliances for the new City Hall 9/17; met with Chastain Roofing to discuss existing City Hall roof repairs 9/17; met with two Census takers. Projects: Finalized Municipal Court Judge RFQ process; worked with E3 Promotions on retirement/recognition plaques; produced recognition awards for select City staff; worked with Communications Team to promote the upcoming shredding and recycling event on October 7; finalized the Public Works staff retreat scheduled for September 21 and 22. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 43 new, 37 closed. Projects: We are continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; reviewing the audio/visual plan for the new City Hall; working on the documents retention project; continuing Dell desktop computer setup; TempDefend installation; Police Department records scanning and storage; updated Fire Department sim chips; reviewed and responded to numerous e-mails throughout the week having to do with City projects. Meetings: Weekly new City Hall review; new City Hall onsite review; key meeting for new City Hall; meeting for equipment setup; District 3 Georgia Municipal Association round table meeting; records meeting with Police Department staff; International City Managers’ Association meeting.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Continued deliberations for final right-of-way acquisition for the hospital-area bridge/trail project; met with staff and development team on the Bus Barn and Gym renovations; prepared for the City Council presentation on the Stonewall Avenue improvements project. Main Street: Final preparations for the Stone City Band amphitheater concert; held the monthly Main Street Tourism Association Board meeting; continued social media promotion of remaining September concerts; prepared final Fiscal Year 2020 audit documents.

Downtown Development Authority: Held the monthly Downtown Development Authority Board meeting; met onsite with potential Lester property purchaser.
PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: U.S. Census Complete Count; amphitheater concerts. Meetings Attended: Communications Team meeting 9/15 and 9/16; Zencity teleconference 9/15; Meals on Wheels 9/17. Projects: Website; Weekly Report; City News; Police Department forms; HDF Museum brochure; Main Street T-shirts; Main Street Christmas ornament; COVID-19 messaging (executive order). POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ยก Officer Jordan Stephenson continues his training in the Field Training Program. ยก Firearm qualifications for the fall is ongoing. ยก September 14, 2020 - FVPD taught a Civilian Use of Force class ยก September 16, 2020 - FVPD hosted Session 10 week #1 of the Citizens Police Academy, there are 16 participants attending the program. ยก September 18, 2020 - FVPD members participated in the Knights of Columbus Charity Golf Tournament.
FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: Swinson Dental Group provided lunch for shift personnel. Projects: Fire Chief Alan Jones met with an individual regarding drainage issues at 500 Magnolia Business Park; Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19; daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continues; Division Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained Patriot Park Memorial, front of City Hall, North 85 medians and right of ways, Hood Avenue sidewalk area, right of way and medians on 54 West to Gingercake Road, sidewalk area from Rose Court to Grady Avenue, weed eat median on W. Lanier Avenue; trash run; worked on lights at the Memorial at Patriots Park, discovered the module was burned out; trimmed back branches in the right of way on Maple Place; changed out signage in the Beaverbrook Estates subdivision; reinstalled fallen stop sign at Tana Court and Jacob Court; Took Assessment at City Hall. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.2 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.2 million gallons of system demand; repaired eight water leaks; performed maintenance on 24 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; continuing to review and update various Administrative Policies for accuracy.
