INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 25 new; 39 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the New City Hall building; Replaced customer service camera; Attended a forms meeting with Finance; Conducted phone system demonstration.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Presented to Leadership Fayette class on current economic development efforts in the City 10/17; Coordinate with the PIO/Communications Team to prepare economic development information for City News magazine; Finalized utility coordination for hospital area trail project. Main Street: Continued preparations and logistics for the October 26 Pumpkin Festival event, volunteers still needed!; Held monthly board meeting and Promotions Committee meeting on 10/15; Meeting with local radio stations to discuss marketing and sponsor recruitment partnership for amphitheater concerts in 2020; Production began for new downtown wayfinding signs, expected installation after Thanksgiving. Downtown Development Authority: Held Cemetery Walk event on 10/18 at Fayetteville Cemetery (10/19 cancelled due to weather); Held monthly board meeting on 10/16. City Hall Project: Continued coordination with interested developers and contractors to rehab the old school system gym and bus barn; Reviewing legal documents for cost sharing of public infrastructure around City Center Park; Continued discussion on playground equipment options, 90% complete.

PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: Fayetteville Pink Out Day 10/18; The Great Pumpkin Festival 10/25-27; Cemetery Walk 10/18-19; Shred/Recycle events 11/6 & 11/9. Events Covered: Ionic VR ribbon cutting; Finance Department’s Pencil Art Contest Reception. Meetings: Main Street Promotional Planning Committee; City Council meeting. Event Planning: FCHS engagement opportunities; City-wide cleanup day 11/9. Projects: Completed and published the October issue of the City News magazine; Researching the feasibility of staging a time-lapse video recorder at the demolition/construction site of the Fayette County BOE building and the new City Hall & City Center Park; Editing the City’s organizational charts on behalf of the Finance Department for the budget book project; Continued to review, evaluate, and make recommendations to Web Developer to improve the design and user experience for the website pages as part of the website redesign project; Welcomed and onboarded new Communications Team member. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Plans under review: The DaPoe Eye Clinic, McAlister’s Deli, the Walton Communities mixed-use development, the Dixon Farm subdivision and The Cottages at Lafayette. Submitted Plans: Plans have recently been submitted for the Piedmont Fayette medical office building and parking expansion, the Fayette Meadows subdivision, and the Spotlight Theater at Pinewood Forest.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Community Engagement: Members of the Police Department participated in the Fall Festival located at the Fayette County Justice Center; School Resource Officers participated in a threat assessment round table for all the schools located within the City of Fayetteville. Training: Eight members of the Police Department attended advance training on various topics. We have seen a significant decrease in Entering Autos over the last week. We encourage the community to continue to lock their vehicle doors. Please remember that Halloween is coming up, please watch out for our trickor-treaters.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Community Engagement: Truck 9 provided Friendly Firefighter/Firetruck Tour for Fayette County Headstart Program; Truck 9 and Captain Ben Henning attended the Public Safety Fall Festival at the Fayette County Justice Center; Units attended the Heritage Bank Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon; All shifts continued training at the old Fayette County Board of Education buildings; Generator loaned to Main Street department for annual Cemetery Walk. Projects: Safer Quarterly Report and Safer Payment Request submitted; Deputy Chief Linda Black continuing to work on Lexipol project with discovery meeting scheduled for 11 a.m. on 10/23. Meetings: Deputy Chief Black held meeting with the City IT Department regarding data analytics project.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department; Cut and maintained retention areas: Virginia Highlands, Hoove Ave., Ramah Rd., Gingercake Rd., Brandywine Rd., Right of way Habersham Drive, Bradford Square, Graveyard trim hedges, Jimmy Mayfield sidewalk and right of way, Forrest Ave.; City wide trash run and trash run on North Highway 85, West Lanier, Highway 314 and White Rd.; Picked up supplies for the Cemetary Walk; Fixed sidewalk in front of Oz Pizza. Sewer: Average daily flow treated is 2.239 million gallons per day; Performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; Maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.093 of system demand; Repaired seven water leaks; Performed 11 water meter maintenance; Maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Utility Locates: 88

HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; We will begin setting up training for all users in ClearCompay for recruiting, onboarding, performance management and appraisals; We are continuing the marketing campaign for the upcoming benefits offering for the January 1 plan year. Turn Over Report: There were two new employees hired and no employee terminations during the week of October 14 - October 20.
