FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events - “B” and “C” shifts completed an Officer’s Hydraulics course with the department’s Training Officer. “A” Shift will complete training next week. Projects - Chief Alan Jones attended a meeting regarding Leachate Disposal options for the wastewater treatment plant. Chief Jones attended a webinar for the American Rescue Act of 2021 with the City Manager. Chief Jones attended a Clear Company meeting regarding employee performance appraisals. Chief Jones and the Command Staff attended the monthly meeting with the City Manager. Deputy Chief Linda Black attended the monthly LeaderGov meeting via Zoom. Chief Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19. Division Chief Keith Harris scheduled four April 1 interviews for the open Firefighter/EMT positions. Weekly COVID-19 report was completed and sent to the DPH. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) mask and regulators continues. Deputy Chief Linda Black and Captain Joshua Collins assisted the DPH and Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services with COVID-19 vaccinations. Battalion Chief Jeff Gable updated the Incident Action Plan for COVID-19. EMS supplies were ordered.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ¡ Monday, March 22 - Attended the Management Team meeting; held the Command Staff meeting. ¡ Tuesday, March 23 - Interviews with Chief Gray and a conditional offer for the Crime Scene position. ¡ Wednesday, March 24 - Monthly meeting with the City Manager at the Police Department; departmental employees assisted with COVID-19 vaccinations at the Old Station 4. ¡ Thursday, March 25 - Held a department staff and supervisor meeting. ¡ Friday, March 26 - Lieutenant Lynn Crawshaw’s retirement event was held at the Old Fayette County Courthouse.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Communication was sent to employees for the first-quarter goal update in the ClearCompany Performance Management System. We are working with the Communications Team for supervisor training videos for Performance Management. We continue to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements as they relate to City employees and on remaining compliant with mandates. We continue to maintain a case spreadsheet of potential pandemic cases involving City employees. We continue to review and update various administrative policies for accuracy. We are evaluating responses received from the pay study survey for Police, Fire, and Public Services. Turn Over Report: We had no new hires and no terminations during the period of March 22-28, 2021. There are 15 vacant positions: four in Fire Services, two in Public Services, six in the Police Department, two in Community & Economic Development (one position on hold), one in Municipal Court, and one in Human Resources (on hold). ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Presented a development proposal at the Fayette County Board of Education monthly meeting; met with Chuck Ogletree and Planning and Zoning Director Denise Brookins regarding food truck ordinance development; attended the Community and Economic Development departmental meeting with the City Manager; attended the monthly Fayette County Development Authority meeting; attended and passed the Georgia Department of Transportation audit for the hospital trail and bridge project, and we are currently awaiting notification to proceed to the bidding stage; reviewed alcohol license applications with City staff. Downtown Development Authority/Main Street: Continued extensive preparations for the 2021 Summer Concert Series; met with John Lynch to review the remaining inventory at the Holliday Dorsey Fife House; facilitated amphitheater rental for closed filming; reviewed digital billboard technology at the amphitheater with consultant Brandon Paulus; worked with the Communications Team to document renovation work at the DDA-owned 119 South Glynn Street property.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; completed the trash run in parks, the square area, North Highway 85, White Road, Highway 314, West Lanier Avenue, Veterans Parkway, and Gingercake Road; cut and maintained the Hood Avenue roundabout, City Cemetery, city lots on Stonewall Avenue, East Lanier Avenue sidewalks from Jeff Davis Drive to Rosewood Drive; and Patriot Park; performed repair work on the backhoe and utility truck; laid mulch in the Helen Sams Parkway medians; helped the City of Newnan with storm debris; completed a metal run to Griffin; and cleaned the shop. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.09 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.2 million gallons of system demand per day; repaired five water main breaks; performed maintenance on 49 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.
