Main Street Fayetteville Program Manager Joyce Waits was congratulated on her retirement after serving 15 years with the City.

Held a meeting with Steve Mauro from Comprehensive Program Services to discuss the City Hall & City Center Park punch list and reviewed some preliminary plans for the playground improvements

Attended a meeting with the Lakemont Subdivision Executive Board on the evening of Tuesday, August 10 Conducted a walk-through of the Oakleigh Manor subdivision on Saturday, August 14, with homeowners association board members and some residents to look at infrastructure issues Held a meeting with a resident from Sharon Drive to discuss stormwater concerns

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events - Hosted a Moms Day Out fire safety education tour of Station 91. Projects - Fire Chief Alan Jones, Deputy Chief Linda Black, Division Chief Keith Harris, Division Chief Mike Matthews, and Fire Marshal Bill Rieck attended a monthly meeting with the City Manager. Lieutenant Mike Greene and Firefighter Chris Compton assisted with a fire recruit training burn at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. Chief Black attended an informational meeting with Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services Fire Chief Jeff Hill and assistant chiefs Folden and Peace. Chief Black and Chief Harris attended a retirement reception for Main Street Fayetteville Program Manager Joyce Waits. Chief Black attended the kickoff meeting with MAG for the Pay & Class Study. Captain Josh Collins is working on a quote for AEDs for City Hall & City Center Park. Awaiting date from Purchasing Department for water stations to be installed at fire stations 92 and 93. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of the selfcontained breathing apparatus mask and regulators continues.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY

▶ Monday, August 9 - A Command Staff meeting was held reviewing vehicles, current budget, and upcoming events. ▶ Tuesday, August 10 - A monthly meeting with the City Manager and Command Staff was held at the Police Department. ▶ Wednesday, August 11 - Held 5 interviews for possible new candidates for the police officer positions. Division captains and Officer David Cagle attended a kickoff meeting with Lexipol for policy review.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Attended the monthly departmental meeting with the City Manager and staff. Met with the Fayette Pavilion property management team, Crawford Square, to discuss an updated landscaping and signage plan. Prepared an RFP for the Atlanta Regional Commission-funded trail study (pending ARC review). Downtown Development Authority/Main Street: Continued marketing and logistics efforts for 2021 concerts. Secured JoDee Messina as the final 2021 concert. Issued pre-sale and marketing notices. Coordinated and held a retirement party for Main Street Fayetteville Program Manager Joyce Waits. Reviewed the amphitheater renovation plans with Jefferson Browne Architects. Began review of the Downtown Development Authority-leased commercial suite in the Walton Fayetteville development. Final logistics and preparation for the Art Fair on the Square event 8/14.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained Highway 85, East Lanier Avenue from Jeff Davis Drive to Knight Way, Orchard View, Helen Sams Parkway, cart paths, New Hope Road, intersection of Highway 85 and Highway 314, Tiger Trail and Lafayette Avenue, South Jeff Davis Drive, Church Street Park, and Patriot Park. Completed the trash run on Lester Road, parks, and the Downtown area. Removed deceased animals from the rights-ofway. Stormwater: Repaired erosion on the cart path on Beauregard Boulevard. Removed sidewalks in Lafayette Villages. Removed sidewalk area on McIntosh Court. Cleaned up drainage at 840 Virginia Highlands. Patchwork on Julia Court. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.14 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.88 million gallons of system demand per day; repaired five water leaks; and maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.
