CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Management Team 9/8. Projects: Completed 9/17 City Council meeting packet; processed RFQ for Municipal Court Judge; updated City’s Verizon account; ordered retirement/ recognition plaque; scheduled shred/recycling event for 10/7 9 a.m. to noon; scheduled Public Works staff retreat for 9/21 and 9/22; volunteered at 9-11 Tribute event at amphitheater. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 33 new, 46 closed. Projects: We are continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; reviewing the audio/visual plan for the new City Hall; working on the documents retention project; continuing Dell desktop computer setup; TempDefend installation; Police Department records scanning and storage; reviewed and responded to numerous e-mails throughout the week, having to do with City projects. Meetings: Met with Peachtree City Court staff; weekly new City Hall review; network equipment meeting, fleet software demonstration; key meeting for new City Hall; Meraki networking demonstration; International City Managers’ Association meeting.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Unified Development Ordinance zoning district review with staff; continued deliberations for final right-of-way acquisition for the hospital-area bridge/trail project; continued development of the new downtown nature center ordinance. Main Street: Final preparations for the 9-11 Tribute event; final preparations for the Departure concert; prepared for the Main Street monthly meeting; continued September social media concert promotions; repaired amphitheater stage roof leaks; met with Fayette County High School staff to discuss possible October amphitheater rental; coordinated with Shriners for upcoming ChiliFest event.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained the Fayetteville City Cemetery area, amphitheater inside and out, Kathi Avenue roundabout, retention area on Bates Avenue, Hood Avenue roundabout, Church Street Park, water tower area, North Jeff Davis Drive, front section of Hood Avenue, Tiger trail, and Lafayette Avenue; Removed the Train Depot sign on Stonewall Avenue. Stormwater: Repaired the erosion catch basin at 140 Oak Street and sealed the pipe. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 1.29 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.9 million gallons of system demand; repaired two water leaks; performed maintenance on 44 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Utility Locates: 62
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; processed the five retiree packets from the previous week and uploaded them into the GMEBS pension system; met with our benefits broker for initial discussions for the January 1 renewal; completed meeting with employees to discuss the new proposed pension plan changes; reviewing various Administrative Policies for accuracy. FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: Off-duty personnel participated in the annual 9-11 climb of Stone Mountain to honor the victims and their families; Mowell’s Funeral Home presented the department with an American Flag and cookies in remembrance of 9-11; Brightmoor Hospice provided a luncheon for first responders in remembrance of 9-11; units displayed the American Flag and attended the 9-11 Tribute ceremony at the amphitheater. Projects: Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19; daily cleaning and sanitizing of selfcontained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continues; Division Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan; an Administrative Section replacement vehicle was ordered with an estimated delivery date of March 2021.
