FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: All shifts completed training for the Teamworks Performance Management system; all shifts completed the monthly EMS in-service training at ERTSS. Projects: Chief Alan Jones attended the first of 12 monthly Leadergov Cohort Leadership Training meetings with the City of Indianola, Mississippi via Zoom; Chief Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and other medical associations regarding COVID-19; Chief Black and Captain Josh Collins assisted the Georgia Department of Public Health and Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services with COVID-19 vaccinations; Division Chief Keith Harris worked with job applicants in the department’s hiring process; Battalion Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan; weekly COVID-19 report completed to Georgia Department of Public Health; daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continued.

¡ January 18 - Observed the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. ¡ January 19 - Command Staff met with Training and the Criminal Investigations Division. ¡ January 20 - Personnel attended the Teamworks Performance Management training at City Hall; personnel assisted with traffic direction for the COVID-19 vaccinations at the old Fayette County Fire Station #4; extra security was provided for Fayetteville Municipal Court on Inauguration Day. ¡ January 21 - Personnel attended the Teamworks Performance Management training at City Hall; a detective opening has been approved for the Criminal Investigations Division, with letters of interest due by February 4. ¡ January 22 - Personnel attended the L3 Suicide Intervention Training at the Police Department. ¡ January 23 - The Office of Professional Standards held testing for new employment candidates.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: With the help of the Public Information Office and the Information Technology Department, we began employee training for the performance management system and performance appraisals platform on ClearCompany. We continue to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements as they relate to City employees and on remaining compliant with mandates. We continue to maintain a case spreadsheet of potential pandemic cases involving City employees. We are requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees that are out of work due to COVID-19 related absences. We continue to review and update various administrative policies for accuracy. Turn Over Report: There were no new-hires and no terminations during the period of January 18-24, 2021. There are 10 vacant positions: three in Fire Services, three in Public Works, two in Police Department, one in Community & Economic Development (on hold), and one in Human Resources (on hold). ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Met with a film location scout to consider multiple buildings for an upcoming production; virtual meeting with staff and Bill Ross of Ross+Assoc to discuss the upcoming Impact Fee Methodology update. Downtown Development Authority/Main Street: Attended the Performance Management training work session at City Hall; attended the Georgia Main Street webinar on 2021 Work Plans for Local Programs; site visit with a prospective May/ June renter at the amphitheater; held the monthly DDA/MS Board meeting; met with the architect regarding renovation plans for the 119 South Glynn Street building; packed exhibits at the Holliday Dorsey Fife House and prepared them for storage, and coordinated the display cabinets to be moved to Burch Elementary School; amphitheater graphic was prepared for The Guide.
PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; completed the trash run on North Glynn Street, Patriot Park, West Lanier Avenue between Tiger Trail and Lafayette Avenue, the North Highway 85 medians and right of way, Highway 314 and White Road; filling in the Carver Street potholes; assisted Water Distribution at a pump station; cleaned the shop inside and out; cleaned work trucks. Stormwater: Replaced storm drain pipe in the Clairmont subdivision and completed the landscape area on Clairmont Court. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 1.93 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 2.1 million gallons of system demand; repaired two water leaks; performed maintenance on 55 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.
