CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Management Team 7/28. Projects: Prepared City Council 8/6 meeting agenda; Processed accounts payable for end of fiscal year for Clerk’s Office and Mayor and City Council; submitted new ordinances to Municipal Code for codification; met with City Attorney for review and execution of documents; scheduled records shredding for Building Department. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 68 new, 62 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; continued reviewing audio-visual plan for new City Hall; set up court for Peachtree City; continued with documents retention program; set up new Dell desktop computers; VLAN project connecting IT to the Police building; trial run for probation office virtual hearings; reviewed and responded to numerous City project e-mails; security app install and configuration. Meetings: AT&T regarding new City Hall; Comcast regarding new City Hall; MS-ISAC monthly meeting; Courtroom tour with Peachtree City; Court video conference session; met with Harris County Director of Technology; met with Chief Information Officer of the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Incentive application review with Fayette County Development Authority; Land Use Coordinating Committee meeting on arts integration in communities; researched additional providers for stream mitigation credits; reviewed updated Alcohol License application. Main Street: SWOT review with Main Street board chair; met with Roundtown regarding 2021 event management services; prepped for Craig Morgan concert; met with Joel Willis of 92.5 The Bear FM regarding the concert season; amphitheater preparation for Fayette FACTOR Town Hall event; provided a letter of recommendation for a downtown business.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ¡ The Police Department participated in the July 31 Fayette Town Hall: Community Conversation about Policing and Race, which was hosted by Fayette FACTOR. ¡ The Dates for our Understanding Police Use of Force presentations will be August 6 and 15, 6-8 p.m., in the Police Department Training Room. Those interested may contact Sergeant Darnell: ddarnell@fayetteville-ga.gov. More presentation dates and different locations will be announced in the future. ¡ We have seen a dramatic decrease in entering autos. Please continue to lock your vehicles.
FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: “Thank you” to the American Legion Post #105 for providing a cookout for first responders. Projects: Fire Chief Alan Jones completed the remaining Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) reimbursement request for the Fiscal Year 2020 SAFER Grant. Chief Jones completed a SWOT analysis for Public Works. Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and other medical associations regarding COVID-19. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus continues. Division Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan. Captain Steven Woodworth assigned the monthly business inspections/preplans for August. Division Chief Keith Harris worked on the upcoming lieutenants testing process.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained medians and rights of way on Habersham Drive and the intersection of North Glynn Street, Highway 314 and North Jeff Davis Drive; cut and maintained the sidewalks beside Hertz Rental, Lafayette Avenue, Tiger Trail, inside amphitheater, South Highway 85 near Whitney Street, Church Street Park, City Cemetery, Patriot Park, Highway 54 East at Weatherly Drive, Highway 314, New Hope at White Road, Gingercake Road, Brandywine Road, Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard medians and sidewalks, medians on Highway 54 and Jeff Davis Drive, and Bradley Avenue; repaired sidewalk on Meeting Place Drive; repaired road on Clandon Park Terrace and Summit Point Drive. Stormwater: Cleaned drainage ditch at 840 Virginia Highlands. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.08 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.33 million gallons of system demand; repaired 5 water leaks; performed maintenance on 20 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Utility Locates: 57
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; working with Georgia Municipal Employees Benefit System to finalize all pension plan documents; preparing new proposed pension plan documents for employee discussion meetings and the City Council presentation.
