CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Attended the weekly Management Team meeting 8/17; attended the called City Council meeting at 8 a.m. and the regularly-scheduled City Council meeting at 6 p.m. on 8/20. Projects: Updated the City Council agenda packet for the 8/20 called and regularly-scheduled meetings; continuing dialogue for the City Hall clock placement at the new City Hall; updating City contracts/renewals. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 61 new, 72 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; continued reviewing audio-visual plan for new City Hall; continued with documents retention program; set up new Dell desktop computers; VLAN project connecting IT to the Police building; reviewed and responded to numerous City project e-mails. Meetings: Discussed software needs with City Manager Ray Gibson; met with Community Development Director David Rast on a future project; IPTV meeting with GMIS group; phone meeting about VLAN implementation; pension plan meeting.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Attended Gym and Bus Barn design meeting with Jefferson Browne Architects; Met with Meridian on the Square development team to discuss the latest updates and timelines for the project; met with Executive Director Katie Pace with Southern Conservation Trust to discuss their future plans in Downtown Fayetteville. Main Street: 8/21 Friday Night LIVE was cancelled due to weather forecast; held monthly board meeting via teleconference; managed private amphitheater rental 8/20; began September concerts promotion; built event/ticketing pages for October concerts; finalized rescheduling of postponed concerts to 2021.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ยก Our upcoming Citizens Police Academy class is full, and we will post further information if any slots become available. ยก Our FLOCK camera system is up and fully operational. ยก We are in the process of finalizing our schedule for the citizens and police use of force classes. The first two were a huge success.
FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: The Training Division completed rescue drills for all shifts at the Water Treatment Plant construction site. Units on August 19 responded to a report of a residential structure fire on the west side of the City. Personnel located a small fire in the basement, which was quickly extinguished, and no extension of fire occurred. The source of the fire was determined to be an oscillating fan, which had turned over on an area rug causing the fan motor to overheat. Projects: Fire Chief Alan Jones attended a meeting with Greenlea subdivision representatives regarding drainage issues; Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19; daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continues; Division Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan; Truck 9 routine maintenance completed; new automatic external defibrillator (AED) and medical bag placed in service on Squad 9.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained East Lanier Avenue from Booker Avenue to Rosewood Drive, inside of the amphitheater, West Lanier Avenue from Tiger Trail to Bennett Street, Grady Ave to Meeting Place Drive; attended a meeting at 195 Creekside Trail and a pension plan meeting at City Hall; picked up supplies from Safety Signal; repaired five sidewalk areas in Lafayette Villages subdivision. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.26 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements; repaired an erosion problem at 250 Stratford Way; met on site to investigate stormwater issue at 195 Creekwood Trail. Water: Average daily flow of 1.37 million gallons of system demand; repaired four water leaks; performed maintenance on 23 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Utility Locates: 62
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; met with employees August 21 and presented the new proposed pension plan changes; presented the proposed Pension Plan to City Council for the first reading on August 20. Reviewing various Administrative Policies for accuracy. Turn Over Report: There were no new hires and no terminations.
