CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Municipal Clerks Conference in Athens, 9/8-10; HR meeting with City Manager, 9/13 Projects: Public Facilities Authority Terms of Engagement documents; Published GovDeals notice in legal organ for September Fire Department surplus auction; Working with City Attorney on GEFA loan documents. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 33 new; 35 closed. Projects: New City Hall technology needs planning; Corrected issues created from fire software upgrade; Finished wiring Fire Station #93 for data; Updated all Fire Department vehicle laptops.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Worked with Planning & Zoning Department to review and comment on the Walton Properties site plan; Met with Southern Conservation Trust to discuss partnering on a downtown nature center; Making plans for a large-scale, tree save initiative on the Sams property; Met with Public Information Office to update Economic Development information on City website; Working with Building Department to develop GIS mapping of Tax Allocation District parcels. Main Street: Prepared for monthly board meetings on 9/17; Lane Brown Gazebo roof stain and concrete work completed with assistance from Public Works. Downtown Development Authority: Prepared for monthly board meeting, 9/18; Worked with engineering consultant on concepts for more downtown parking.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Construction Reviews & Inspections: Construction within the Pinewood Forest development, including the county’s first parking garage as well as the new Hop City Craft Beer & Wine and Barley Garden Kitchen & Craft Bar; Construction within the Satterfield development along Hwy. 85, which includes the upcoming Tires Plus, RaceTrac, Freddy’s Frozen Custard, Panda Express, Aspen Dental, Tropical Smoothie, Stanton Optical & Eye Lab, and Chipotle; Plans under Review: Meridian on the Square, which will be built on the corner of North Glynn Street and West Lanier Avenue; the Piedmont Fayette medical office building located next to the hospital; and Awkward Brewing, which will be located along Lee Street across from Fayetteville City Hall.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Community Engagement: Participated in the annual 9/11 memorial climbing of Stone Mountain followed by the Brightmoor Hospice luncheon for first responders at the American Legion Log Cabin; Attended the Whitewater High School first responders breakfast on 9/11; C.A.R.E. officers participated in various local school programs. Training: All officers participated in pursuit training and policy briefing; Chief Gray attended Certified Public Manager course in Macon; Five police officers attended advanced training courses at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth. Personnel: Recruit Gonzalez set to graduate from the academy on September 20 and be assigned to a field training officer. Facilities: New police department roof installed. SPECIAL NOTE: We are seeing a recent upswing in Entering Auto cases throughout the City, and we are working a plan to deter and catch suspects. We would like to remind the public to please lock your vehicles.
FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Community Engagement: Participated in the annual 9/11 memorial climbing of Stone Mountain followed by the Brightmoor Hospice luncheon for first responders at the American Legion Log Cabin; Provided blood pressure checks at Azalea Estates Assisted Living. Training: Chief Jones attended Certified Public Manager course in Macon. Projects: Attended meeting regarding Oak Street stormwater issue; Tower 91 continues to be out of service with major outrigger repairs at the 10-8 facility; Chevy Tahoe ordered for Deputy Chief Linda Black and is expected for December delivery; Set up annual physicals for next week.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; Mowed and maintained landscaping along Hood Avenue, Forest Avenue, Hwy. 85, Hwy. 314, Kathi Avenue, Church Street, West Lanier Avenue, South Jeff Davis Drive, Helen Sams Parkway, Ramah Road, Jimmy Mayfield Boulevard, North Jeff Davis Drive, Church Street Park, and around the Historic Train Depot; Built concrete path at the Lane Brown Gazebo; Fixed a pothole on Virginia Highlands. Water: Averaged 1.5 million gallons a day; Repaired nine water leaks; Performed maintenance on 46 water meters; Maintained water plant permit compliance. Sewer: Averaged 2.1 million gallons a day; Performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations; Maintained wastewater plant premit compliance. Utility locates: 88
