CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Attended Monday staff meeting; met with two students and sponsor from Our Lady of Mercy High School concerning recycling ideas for their school club; met with Verizon rep to discuss City phone plan and other technology options; worked City Council meeting 11/21; picked up 25 Christmas Angels from Bloom Closet to distribute to employees for shopping for gifts. Projects: Submitted RFQ to exterminating companies for city buildings; completed applicant list for board member positions, will schedule committee meeting to review; working GovDeals surplus list for Police Department. Open Records Requests: 9

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 60 new; 57 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the New City Hall building; reimage Police Department laptops; working on new Police Department record management system (continued); relocated Court Clerks camera; installed new camera mounts in council chambers; online payments for Building Department, and Planning and Zoning Department; review cell phone policy. Training: Emergency Operations Center / Incident Command System Interface. Meetings: Meeting with City Manager Ray Gibson about online complaint system.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Attended Unified Development Ordinance meeting to discuss revisions to new ordinance; reviewed Georgia Department of Community Affairs low-interest loan programs. Main Street: Continued preparations and marketing for Christmas Parade/Tree Lighting; held Main Street Board monthly meeting; prepared and distributed Southern Ground Amphitheater concert survey; coordinated downtown winter-season plantings and light decorations. Downtown Development Authority: Held Downtown Development Authority monthly meeting; showed Lester House to prospective tenant. City Hall Project: Met with interested developers/tenants at gym and bus barn.

PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: Christmas on Main Street 12/7; Municipal Run-off Election; 2019 Main Street Christmas Ornament for sale; Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum Victorian Christmas 12/7. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Projects: Community Development had a busy week with Planning and Zoning Commission, City Council and Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Advisory Committee meetings, as well as pre-construction meetings; staff facilitated and re-initiated first UDO Advisory Committee meeting to review the draft of the new UDO and began initial discussions as they relate to updating our GIS/zoning map to update. Meetings: Department head staff meeting Planner’s Huddle 11/18; GIS/ Zoning/ Future Land Use verification 11/18; pre-construction meeting with RaceTrac 11/19; meeting with AT&T regarding small cell technology 11/19; meeting with consultant re: potential retail development on Hwy. 314 11/19; UDO – review residential zoning with Planning & Zoning Commission vice chair 11/19; Planning and Zoning Commission meeting 11/19; Technical Review Committee (TRC) meeting 11/20; Community Development departmental meeting 11/20; UDO Advisory Committee meeting 11/20; City Council meeting 11/21; UDO – review residential zoning with P&Z chair 11/21.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Community Engagement: The department received several donations this week for Christmas with a Cop. Training: Five officers attended advanced training in several areas this week. The department investigated a Hit and Run pedestrian fatality, one suspect in custody. Reminder: Vehicle holiday traffic will increase through the week. Please remember to put the cell phones down and to drive cautiously, and remember to put valuables in the trunk of your vehicle during this holiday season.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Community Engagement: Units attended the First Responders Appreciation Luncheon at Georgia Military College; Station #91 participated in station tour and Fire Safety Education with local Girl Scout troop. Training: All shifts attended EMS training at ERTSS; FF/EMT Bradley Simpson completed training and is now a certified Georgia Smoke Diver. Meetings: Shift meetings held with Fire Chief Alan Jones and Deputy Fire Chief Linda Black for the new Performance Management System; our department hosted an eight-hour Georgia Emergency Management Agency course on Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command System Interface – 21 participants; Fire Chief Alan Jones completed the Certified Public Manager Course; Deputy Chief Black and Chief Peacock attended weekly meeting with Lexipol Project Manger Andrew McGovern; policies and procedures have been cross-referenced and the first set of policies is currently under review. Projects: Apparatus building for Station #93 is in the process of being reassembled; update on annual ladder testing – all ladders and ariels passed and remain in service with minor deficiencies noted to be addressed with routine maintenance; replaced outof-service HVAC unit at Headquarters.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department and the Public Services Department building; cut and maintained Helen-Sams Pkwy., Veterans Pkwy., Gazebo area, Church Street Park; built Box for dump trailer for leaf pickup; picked up copy boxes from Board of Education; picked up bucket truck for Main Street; prepped New Hope Road; trash pick-up on Grady Ave.; cleaned Gazebo Area; hung up Snowflake Lights; returned bucket truck to Standard Trucking; cleaned out creek line at 295 Monmouth Dr. Sewer: Average daily flow treated is 2.147 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.031 of system demand; repaired ten water leaks; performed 24 water meter maintenance; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Utility Locates: 89

HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; we will begin setting up training for all users in ClearCompay for recruiting, onboarding, Performance Management and Appraisals; continued with the implementation of the new benefits package for the January 1 plan year; e-mailed communication about Open Enrollment and Benefits meetings; opened up PlanSource (Benefits Admin System) for employees to log in and view their demographic information; amendments and restatement of Georgia Municipal Employee Benefit System retirement plan was approved at the 11/21 City Council meeting. Turnover Report: There were no new employees hired and one employee termination during the week of November 18-24, 2019.
