CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Attended Piedmont Fayette Wellness Center Ribbon Cutting on 10/24. Projects: Sent out notice for State Farm Ribbon Cutting on 10/22; Working on final Performance Management information for City Clerk to submit to City Manager; Completed GovDeals Online Auction for Fire Dept. and working on GovDeals Online Auction for Police Department to begin in November; Set up Electronic Recycling/ Shred Day for 11/6 at City Hall (9am-noon). INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 38 new; 42 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the New City Hall building; Replaced customer service camera; Attended a forms meeting with Finance; Conducted phone system demonstration.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Met with owner/developer of new DePoe building to discuss available financing and incentives; Extensive research and development of small business incentives to offer in the downtown district; Offered critique of 6th grade STEAM projects at Flat Rock Middle School; Worked with GIS dept to complete a map of the Tax Allocation District for the Fayette County Development Authority website interface. Main Street: Final preparations for The Great Pumpkin Festival event on 10/26, cancelled due to rain; new event scheduled for 11/15 (Beaver Moon Festival); Attended DCA webinar for downtown project financing programs. Downtown Development Authority: Museum Committee meeting on Friday to review the Cemetery Walk event and plan for 2020; Preparing agenda items for the 11/7 City Council meeting. City Hall Project: Continued coordination with interested developers and contractors to rehab the gym and bus barn.

PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: The Great Pumpkin Festival & Cancellation 10/25-27; Shred/Recycle events 11/6 & 11/9; New Main Street fall festival 11/15. Events Covered: Fayette County Board of Education headquarters ribbon cutting 10/21; Jasmine Johnson State Farm ribbon cutting 10/22; Piedmont Fayette Wellness Center VIP Event 10/24. Meetings: Met with a new local Realtor Demetri Myers to discuss networking and communication opportunities for his business. Event Planning: City-wide cleanup day 11/9; HOA Town Hall meeting for a Saturday in December 2019; Main Street fall festival event 11/15. Projects: Set up PIO Administrative Assistant office space; Began assembling business list for outreach campaign; Researched team productivity software; Submitted quotes for New City Hall & City Center Park construction time-lapse video equipment; Submitted organizational chart edits for the budget book; Held telephone conference with the website developer to discuss technical website page edits and made recommendations to improve the design and user experience for the website pages as part of the website redesign project; Planning City News 11/20 edition; Published economic development page on website. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Meetings: The following items were discussed at the 10/22 Planning and Zoning Commission: ¡¡ The conceptual site plan and associated variances were approved for the Walton Communities mixed-use development off of Beauregard Avenue; ¡¡ The conceptual site plan for the Dafoe office building and McAlister’s Deli were approved; ¡¡ The rezoning request and associated variances for the Dixon Farms subdivision were tabled until the 11/19 meeting; ¡¡ The rezoning request for The Cottages at Lafayette was forwarded to City Council with a recommendation that it not be approved.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Community Engagement: C.A.R.E.* officers participated in the DEA take-back initative; Officers participated in the Fall Festival at Kiwanas field. Training: Five officers completed advanced training. We have seen an increase in entering autos this week, we encourage the community to continue to lock their vehicle doors. Please remember that Halloween is coming up, please watch out for our trickor-treaters.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Community Engagement: Fire Station 91 provided a Station Tour/Fire Safety Education for First United Methodist Church pre-school program Units delivered Fire Safety Education to for the following events: ¡¡ Fayetteville First Baptist Church pre-school program ¡¡ Cleveland Elementary Fall Festival ¡¡ Springhill Elementary “Spooktacular” Festival ¡¡ Adams Little People Academy ¡¡ All shifts continue to train at the old BOE building Meetings: Safer payment request approved for $248,617.91 (grant number EMW2016-FH-00474); Deputy Chief Black and Chief Peacock attended the discovery meeting with Lexipol via GoToMeeting. Documents have been uploaded to begin the crossreferencing phase of the project. The Project Manager assigned to our team is Andrew McGovern and the next meeting will be on 11/12 at 9 a.m.; Deputy Chief Black attended Hazard Mitigation Plan update meeting; The Project Manager assigned to our team for the National Fire Operations Reporting System project is Joe Chop. We have scheduled a kick-off meeting for 10/30 at 2:30 p.m.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department; Cut and maintained Jimmy Mayfield sidewalk and right of way, Patriot Park, Creek crossing, West Lanier Ave. from city limits to Sandy Creek then to Gingercake Rd., North 85 medians, fountain area; City-wide trash run. Sewer: Average daily flow treated is 2.234 million gallons per day; Performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; Maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.063 of system demand; Repaired seven water leaks; Performed 12 water meter maintenance; Maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; We will begin setting up training for all users in ClearCompay for recruiting, onboarding, performance management and appraisals; We are continuing the marketing campaign for the upcoming benefits offering for the January 1 plan year. Turn Over Report: There were no new employees hired and no employee terminations during the week of October 21 - 27.
