CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Attended staff meeting 10/28; Met with pest control company 10/29 to discuss monthly pest control service/quote for all city buildings; Met with Bill Stark and City Manager to discuss Clerk/Deputy Clerk Performance Management on 10/30; Met with Comprehensive Program Services and Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood reps on 10/31, along with other staff members, to discuss furniture details/final selections for new City Hall. Projects: Scheduled pick up for 11/5 or 11/6 of Fire Pumper truck sold on GovDeals for Fire Dept.; Finalized Electronic Recycling/Shred Day for 11/6 at City Hall (9 a.m. - noon); Set up Shred day and Glass recycling events for Saturday 11/9 Community Clean Up Day. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 46 new; 28 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; Reimage police laptops; Working on new Police records management system (continued); Converted e-mails for open records request to PDF format, tested new software to accomplish conversion; Cell phone testing in city limits. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Planning & Zoning: At their meeting on 10/22, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the conceptual site plan and two variances for the Walton Communities mixed-use development off of Beauregard Boulevard, the conceptual site plans for the Depoe Office Building at the corner of Highway 54 and Tiger Trail, and the McAlister’s Deli on Highway 85 North. The rezoning request and associated variances for the Dixon Farm subdivision off of Summit Drive was tabled, and the rezoning request for The Cottages at Lafayette was forwarded to City Council with a recommendation that it not be approved; The Art and Architectural Committee recommended approval of elevations for the Depoe Office Building and discussed the potential demolition of an existing home at 300 North Jeff Davis Drive. Meetings: Staff met with the developer of the Fayette Meadows subdivision to be constructed at the intersection of Highway 92 and Jimmy Mayfield Boulevard. The elevations for the proposed homes will be considered at the November 19 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting; Staff attended the Fayette County Complete Count Committee meeting to discuss soliciting community involvement for the Census 2020 project.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Training: Five officers completed advanced training courses; three officers entered the Field Training Program. Special operation: Entering auto supression Citizens are encouraged to keep vehicles locked with valuables out of sight.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Training: All shifts attended monthly EMS training at Emergency Response Training & Support Services in Fayetteville; All shifts participated in overhead door ventilation training. Meetings: Chief Alan Jones, Deputy Chief Linda Black, Captain Josh Collins, Technology Director Kelvin Joiner, and Business Systems Coordinator Jessica Smith attended the kickoff meeting for National Fire Operations Reporting System project via GoToMeeting; Chief Jones attended meeting with Strongside Solutions. Projects: Safer Grant payment request submitted for $6,431.38 (grant number EMW2016-FH-00474); Lexipol has begun the cross-referencing phase of our project. The next meeting will be on 11/12 at 9 a.m. (kickoff meeting).

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department; Cut and maintained retention areas on Veterans Parkway, Highway 314 middle medians, Helen Sams Parkway; Preparational work on Hood Ave. round-about; Trash pick-up on South Jeff Davis, Bradley Drive, West Lanier, Jimmy Mayfield, Gingercake Road and East Lanier Ave.; Deer pick up on West Lanier and Lester Road; Picked up pumpkins at the courthouse in the square; Cleaned out bay area at the shop; Board of Education supply run for City Hall. Sewer: Average daily flow treated is 2.231 million gallons per day; Performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; Maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.04 of system demand; Repaired seven water leaks; Performed 12 water meter maintenance; Maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Utility Locates: 77

HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; We will begin setting up training for all users in ClearCompay for recruiting, onboarding, performance management and appraisals; We are continuing the marketing campaign for the upcoming benefits offering for the January 1 plan year. Turnover Report: There were no new employees hired and no employee terminations during the week of October 28 – November 3, 2019.
