CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Met with exterminating company to discuss quotes for services for all City buildings; Command Staff Performance Management; Pension Committee meeting; Campaign Finance Act with Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission webinar; coordinated with manager at Bloom for Angel Christmas tree in City Hall. Projects: Registered elected officials for upcoming 2020 Cities United Summit conference; Finalizing applicant list for board member positions; Coordinated upcoming Thanksgiving luncheon plans for City Hall. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 58 new; 67 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the New City Hall building; Reimage Police Department laptops; Working on new Police Department record management system (continued); Maintenance on Police/Court access panels; Cell phone testing in City limits; New court server build. Meetings: New work order implementation meeting with Public Services and Water department supervisors; Performance Management meeting.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Attended Transportation Committee meeting to discuss downtown road network. Main Street: Preparations for Main Street Board’s monthly meeting; Frost Moon Festival cancelled due to weather; meeting with Southern Ground to build permanent merchandise area at Southern Ground Amphitheater; Developer meeting interested in Highway 85 corridor; Coordination for upcoming Downtown District seasonal lighting installation. Downtown Development Authority: Preparations for Downtown Development Authority meetings. City Hall Project: Met with potential restaurant/brewery user for bus barn; Met with Georgia Department of Transportation on downtown road network requirements, alleyway project, and Stonewall Avenue road diet.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Community Engagement: The C.A.R.E. Unit conducted a Neighborhood Watch presentation at Bay Branch Home Owners Association on 11/13; The C.A.R.E. Unit also attended the “Women of Fayette” potluck luncheon and gave a presentation on safety 11/14; Several officers from the department attended the First Responders Appreciation Luncheon at Georgia Military College, and we would like to thank Georgia Military College for inviting us. Training: Seven officers completed advanced training; One officer is still going through the police academy. Entering autos are down. We did not have a report of an entering auto this week. Reminder: The holiday season is approaching, so please protect your information such as birth date, credit card numbers, and Social Security numbers. We usually see an increase in fraud during the holiday season. *Community Activity Resource and Education Unit (C.A.R.E.)
FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Community Engagement: Units attended the First Responders Appreciation Luncheon at Georgia Military College; Station 91 participated in station tour and Fire Safety Education with local Girl Scout Troop. Training: Supervisors attended training with City Manager Ray Gibson for the new Performance Management System; Firefighter/EMT Bradley Simpson completed training and is now a Georgia Smoke Diver; annual Ladder Testing completed. Meetings: Deputy Fire Chief Linda Black and Division Chief Chris Peacock attended “Kickoff” meeting with Lexipol via GoToMeeting; Fire Chief Alan Jones attended the Georgia City-County Management Association annual conference at Lake Lanier; Deputy Fire Chief Black attended the Hazard Mitigation Meeting to update the current plan for Fayette County.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department and the shop; Trash detail in the city limits; Fixed pothole at 255 Lakemont Drive; Cut and maintained West Lanier Avenue from Bennett Street to Tiger Trail, sidewalk area near left side of Southern Ground Amphitheater, North Highway 85 sidewalk areas; Blew leaves on the curbing on Tiger Trail to Lafayette Avenue; Trash run. Sewer: Average daily flow treated is 2.271 million gallons per day; Performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; Maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 0.978 of system demand; Repaired two water leaks, performed 28 water meter maintenance; Maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; We will begin setting up training for all users in ClearCompay for recruiting, onboarding, performance management and appraisals; Implementation of new benefits package for January 1 plan year has begun; We are working on the written material for the upcoming Open Enrollment and are planning the Open Enrollment Meetings; We held the Pension Committee Meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 to discuss the required Amendments and Restatement of the City’s Pension Plan. Turn Over Report: There were no new employees hired and one employee termination during the week of November 11-17, 2019.
