COMMUNITY CONTINUES SHOW OF SUPPORT The Fayetteville community has continually shown amazing support for the City’s first responders and other essential personnel during the coronavirus pandemic. One of the gestures was from Fayetteville-based The Honey Baked Ham Company, which delivered discounted entrees for City of Fayetteville personnel and their families just in time for Easter weekend. CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Published 4/16 City Council meeting cancellation. Projects: Reviewed Comcast franchise agreement with City Manager and City Attorney; prepared administrative offices for sanitizing; finalized City Hall pest control agreement; updated store purchasing cards list; updated user list for the GETS/WPS Priority Telecommunications Service Center. Open Records Requests: 7

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 22 new; 19 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; build new server to host and upgrade building permits; update each desktop and laptop for new building permits upgrade; upgrade SAN box bios. Meetings: Completed International City/County Management Association leadership training.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Attended additional webinars on loans and financial assistance available to small businesses during COVID-19, and followed up with multiple businesses on these programs; launched a City-wide survey with the Fayette County Development Authority to gain feedback from local businesses on the effects of the pandemic. Main Street: Processed orders for the May 29 concert and held preliminary discussions for alternate dates as a backup. Downtown Development Authority: Continued discussions on downtown real estate options; prepared for the virtual April 15 Fayetteville Downtown Development Authority meeting.

PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: 2020 U.S. Census Complete Count; COVID-19 City response; COVID-19 PSAs. COVID-19 COMMUNITY DISCOURSE In response to Mayor Edward Johnson’s April 9 community update video, many community members have taken to social media to express thanks for the City’s frontline workers, who continue to provide services during the coronavirus pandemic, with many placing themselves in harm's way to do so. City leaders have worked with personnel to provide the best possible personal protective equipment and safety procedural training to ensure the safety of the public and City personnel at this time.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Meetings (held remotely): Management Team; City Hall interior signage; Technical Review Committee; Highway 92 property project; Universal Development Ordinance project status discussion with City staff. Ongoing Projects: Implementing and refining electronic plan submittal and review process; collaborating with staff and developers via phone and video meetings; finalizing draft of Unified Development Ordinance and routing for internal review; completed Technical Review Committee one-on-one meetings; completed Planning & Zoning development process flowchart and concept application; conducted internal review of current applications with the Building, Fire, Public Works, and Planning departments; reviewed ten projects. Development Plans Update: Reviewed comments returned to Walton Communities and Habersham; received conceptual site plans for Navy Federal Credit Union, Club Hoops, Walmart Medical Clinic, and Design by Initiative; received residential replat for a lot in Pinewood Forest.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Coronavirus response: ยก The Police Department continues to practice social distancing. Some of our employees are working from home. ยก Services are still being provided for those seeking reports or any other official business with the Police Department through Internet communication. ยก Please make sure you are throwing away your used masks and gloves. We are seeing increased littering in the area. ยก Please be kind. We are seeing an increase in domestic violence incidents. Remember to walk away and let cooler heads prevail before discussing topics again.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: We continue to place weekly PPE orders with the State of Georgia and private vendors. Walmart donated 42 N95 masks to the department. We have completed self-contained breathing apparatus bench testing along with regulator and mask sanitizing.

Projects: Chief Black attended various COVID-19 webinars throughout the week with officials from the Georgia Department of Public Health. Chief Black and Captain Collins continue to work with our medical director Dr. Chris Edens, Fayette County and the State with up-todate COVID-19 information. Chief Black began working with Deputy Finance Director Carleetha Talmadge regarding applications for Federal Emergency Management Agency grant funding and reimbursement for COVID-19 expenses. We completed the March training report. ServPro disinfected and sanitized Station #91 and Station #93. We made additions to the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Accountability System. Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard, Helen Sams Parkway, South Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville City Cemetery, Highway 85 South, Lee Street, Bradley Drive, Highway 92 South, Veterans Parkway, Lester Road, and Jefferson Avenue. Installed two speed bumps and signs on Oak Street. Installed a “No Outlet” sign on Commerce Drive. Stormwater: Rebuilt catch basin on Meadowbrook Court; repaired stormwater pipe at Woodgate Drive. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.563 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.574 million gallons of system demand; repaired five water leaks; performed maintenance on 105 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER

Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to work on the Property and Casualty Renewal applications and data gathering; the main focus has been on COVID-19 and Federal and State requirements as it relates to City employees; participated in various COVID-19 webcasts in order to remain in compliance; maintained spreadsheet to track potential City employee pandemic cases. Requesting proper leave forms from personnel out of work due to COVID-19. Turn Over Report: There were no terminations and no new hires.
