Design of Convention Center for the Manchester of South India. Providing the major activities of different exhibitions and embarking different types of event. This programme was a individual project, made us to explore the huge spaces and the Site level planning and designing. Royal Enfield Center:

The end semester of the architectural studies, had thesis with a intent to gain the knowledge of the last nine semester. I had a choice of doing a Royal Enfield center. One among the oldest bikes in the world and the fan followers are in a wide range. Which is having single manufacturing plant with a small Research and Development space in it. The proposal was to integrate the Research and Development center with a Promotional and launch pad and adding up a museum to exhibit its 120 years of glory. The exploration of the design was integrating all these. A lot of striving user group with more of intellect case studies and humongous space which led to carving down the different clichĂŠs. This thesis also led me to a national level excellence in architectural thesis platform.

M.R. Matriculation school is one of the upcoming school in Chennai, India. Their keen vision on the infrastructure landed us to them. They had a small place near the ground to develop into a multipurpose space for the kids to utilize them at the small activity center. They had a limited budjet and small peck of land to make this. We had all incredible cost effective techniques with ample space and more let in air. ( This project was dealt with studio Dcode in Chennai.)

Location Map

The site is located in a serene setting with few residential at the northern part of it and a small institute at the eastern end of it. The major crux in the design was integrating all the typology of people to have their respective activities and have their own freedom of space without any disturbances. Indian Oil Corporation Limited, had a lot of discussion running down with how to integrate the space with their residential and a small institution. The concept ended up with creating a wall that could be of concave and convex surface at both the sides where the active Open Air theatre could be of a concave wall which could reflect the sound as well as create a space within it. The convex wall could intent to get more people in small groups with integrating the residential. The design intends to have a gazebo and seaters to relax and spend the time with the nature integrating it.

An old medical warehouse, which was at in accessible height with spanning a huge broken truss with the building debris which was shattered for the highway road widening. The problem was to retrieve the space to a Highway motel, As there were no other motel for the surrounding 25 kilometres of length. The approach was providing a small motel for the travellers, we cantilevered the eves and creating the embarking view of the highway and converted the storage space to washrooms.

Utilization of spaces under flyovers. ` The state capital with more numbers of flyover with endangering the public spaces. The Chennai City Connect integrated me to form a small team to study the possible flyovers that could be transformed in to a public usable space. We found a naive road with lesser stress bursting traffic with a couple of institution down the line and few other commercial with residential. We started our trail work of analysing the space. The space was more with dump yard and other anti social activities happening around. We jot down spaces that could accommodate without anticipating any user. We preferred to have street art and street photography exhibit space that could bring down a lot of artist with understanding of the street scapes of Tamil Nadu, Inida. Adding on to it, we added a cafe space and as well as the toilet.

Kathipara Under Pass Transit Node The entry to the humongous out loaded city is through a clover bridge that invites you to a confused state of where to go. The metro station(upcoming) is one of the striking advancement to the city. The kathipara holds a heavy traffic with dust and sound. The metro station just a kilometre away from the bridge which lets people clueless where to access to the next level of transit. The four directions bus station which a two and more kilometres of walk. The main intent in the design is using the under pass of the flyovers to integrate with bus shelters and providing a small transit center with other commercial and integrating the residential with the nature below the flyover. The under pass could accommodate a heavy people flow with neat and clean directional sense and giving the public a better space to have the transit time.

SITE Incorporating the traditional concept in the eco tourism village. the traditional concepts which are stack effect, venturi effect and using of the locally available material. These concepts are incorporated with the evaporative cooling method, energy efficiency, barrier free design and healing gardens. LOCALY AVAILABLE MATERIAL As the site is located in the forest region of madhya pradesh the sand and the rocks for construction can be easily available nearby the site and on the site and as there are bamboo gardens. we can use intensively the usage of bamboo. As these bamboo can be used for flooring, structural framing, walls and roofs. HEALING GARDENS the effect of Bhopal gas tragedy let to the movement of herbal garden which they gave medicines for various disease. hence attempting to develop the garden in the tourist part gives a knowledge about medicinal plants to the tourist.
