Architectonical elements are positioned beside three margins of the project area.
On one hand they separate the inner space from pollution and noise sources, on the other hand they redefine the park's spaces and restore the central importance of most valuable trees

From a formal perspective, this work is a research on the possibilities of linear shapes to generate activities and density on two-dimensional space.

The city is a house
With a modular scheme we tried to investigate how space can be generated in an alternance of contraction and expansion, to recreate a domestic perception in the new environment.

At the end of the world
A new scientific research center has been chosen to be the first acitvity to be set for the new development of the city.
It could attract new people generating the need for new houses and schools.
They would also need social and recreational activities, services and infrastructures, to connect the new parts of the city.
39
40
At the end of the world
Because of the existing geographic conditions, the city is situated between two belts: nature and the sea.
Nature penetrates through the city, to better integrate and connect the different elements. Three different areas of expansion are created, according to the existing activities in town.

The wind blows
Like the trees growing on the rough land around Ushuaia, the museum is shaped by the strength of the wind blowing from Beagle Channel.
47
48
The wind blows
As a big piece of land art, the museum becomes a new landmark for the city. On the contrary the exhibition halls, situated underground, are safe and protected form the harsh winter of this land.

Nature,
again
At the edge of the city, where the fields meet concrete, stands a last piece of Nature.
60
Nature, again
Nature retrieves the project site, and Architecture at the same time undergoes this conditions and tries to integrate with Her.

The initial disposition of masses follows the diffuse morphology of courtyard buildings, and aligns with the leading grid of the sorroundings.

Constructions are arranged along sides to respond to the perception of visual margins in front of them.

The project consists in a sports complex, with a swimming pool, a fitness center, a restaurant and spaces for sports activities in the park.

Nature, again
Buildings' envelope is conceived as a system of layers, progressively unveiled to represent the action of Nature on Architecture. Layers are set in an increasing gradient of transparency until the last reveals the structure, where the constructions go deeper into the park.

Behind thewall The city is there, you can't see it. Muffled noises arrive in the garden.
76
Behind the wall
The enclosure archetype appears as a long wall turned in on itself. Inside it a warm and protected place for the public library.
Behind the wall
The wall completely isolates the inside from the outside, large green areas sorround the reading rooms.
77
78
Behind the wall
The enclosure is made, inside and outside are defined.
A crosscut allows to better communicate with the context.

House
with a view
My first architectural project, and the hardest to approach. How can an idea get to life? A beautiful view on the sea, a small house surrounded by trees.
94
A house with a view
The house is defined by an external shell closed on three sides and opened towards the sea.
A house with a view
Inside, the space is divided in two functional areas with different characteristics: protected and closed for the private functions, open and projected to the exterior for the common ones.
