Mast The mast is stepped back on the structure which is directly inspired by VPLP’s high performance, record winning, racing trimarans. Which makes for a very powerful sail plan.

Layout
Text by VPLP: The layout is designed to encapsulate the moments of a journey in niches of intimacy, while opening visibility to panoramic views.
The accommodation is laid out within the two hulls of the catamaran. There are three main suites, and an extra guest cabin (which alternatively can be used for crew), as well as the captain’s cabin which is designed to accommodate a couple. The two owners’ suites are positioned in the rear of the hulls because this affords the most volume. Each suite is accessed by descending a private flight of stairs along the salon bulkhead. These principal en-suite cabins offer the highest standard of comfort with king size beds. Forward on the port side is a large guest cabin fitted with a bunk bed. On the starboard side, the stairs lead to a landing which access’s three different rooms: The extra guest cabin situated at midship has an upper bunk which can be folded away in combination with a pull-out table, converting this space into a “crew mess”.
. At the end of the corridor there is a separate crew cabin with two bunk beds intended for the captain. Finally there is a large independent bathroom which serves also as a day head.

A muscular catamaran that will deliver a dynamic sailing experience at the helm, while cosseting her owners in an ambiance of style and comfort.

Text by VPLP: The cockpit is on one level with the salon. Offering both a large dinning area on port side, and a seating area for relaxation around the drink cabinet on starboard.

A large glass sliding door separates the shaded, exterior cockpit from the enclosed interior. When open, there is unhindered communication between the two areas. Interior and exterior
spaces become unified in one expansive living space. Aesthetically, the views forward through the windows and the stern glass sliding doors offer 360 degree visibility.

Interior
Interior Deck Layout Text by VPLP: The transparency between the interior and exterior, transports the spirit beyond the horizon; weaving a distinct harmony between past, present and future.
Up on the main deck, there is a large salon offering a TV, lounge, and seating area which can easily be transformed into the interior dinning room. The navigation station faces forward on the starboard side.
With easy access through a door to the forward cockpit which offers a seating area and sun pads. For neat stowage, the lower section of this door slides sideways into a recess while the upper section is absorbed into a pocket in the salon ceiling.

As the voyager glances from the wake the catamaran has traced, to the space aboard and then off into the distance, as they are transported by the breeze.
Towards the back of this salon (aft of the mast bulkhead), a large open galley serves the openplan social space which communicates with both interior and exterior cockpit. This provides a unique ambiance of harmonizing interior comfort with the natural environment.

Design 60 m Sail Yacht with Maximum Outdoor Activity
The design motif of Amity was inspired by the subtle motion of the water on the surface of the ocean. The design is intend to integrate the yacht as close to its environment as possible.
Boat International Young Designer Award 2011 Competition: Shortlist Candidate
Amity breaks aways from a conventional Ketch sail yacht with its unique and characteristic sheer line. Still, it promises not to take away the traditional feeling of the sailing experience. The customer of Amity is looking for luxury with a maximized deck space arrangement. Closer to a motor yacht, but with the performance and emotion of a sail yacht. The Amity customer wants to experience the emotion of the environment reflected in every inch of his yacht.

Exterior Features CMF The Amity customer wants to experience the emotion of the environment reflected in every inch of his yacht. Therefor materials are chosen wisely.
Structural Elements are designated to modern aluminium construction enforcing a solid, modern and timeless frame. The raw finish reflects the vivid sea live.
Deck and Dwelling Areas use a warm and comforting choice of materials. Such as wood and fabrics.
Lighting is defined through subtle warm to cool color shifts; adjusting to its environment: ambient time of the day. Breaking the barrier between interior and exterior. Lighting Design International recently completed the design for ESPA Life Spa

Interior Features CMF The interior is designed to be comforting yet reflect the nature of the yacht with its raw materials, high quality finishes and color choices.
High-End Quality Finishes on fixtures such as the offerings by Dorn Bracht; underline timelessness and add luxury to every interaction with a surface.
Lighting utilizing natural light sources and playing with light and shadows to create custom environment.
Materials ranging from raw stone walls to neutral color choices are reflected in upholstery accented by fine craft metal details.

The unique hull shape offers considerable space for the lower deck spaces while accommodating up to 12 guests and 10 crew members. Additionally, each window can be individually tinted electronically maintaing privacy throughout the yacht.

Exterior design The Amity 60 exterior deisgn got its inspiration from no other than the “gentle giant”, the blue whale. The Deck Layout and interior is inspired by the beautiful and dynamic ripples and waves of the ocean. The unique sheer lines introduces an exclusive and elegant new design statement. Furthermore, the fully open second deck, arching over the main deck, offers maximum outdoor activity and visability for the captain, guests and crew.

The main deck mimics the theme line. Presenting a semi-open area along the salon\lounge creating a sense of spaciousness. An unmatched indoor\outdoor experience.
Reversed bow elongates waterline and enhances the yacht performance. Electric tint-able (to hull) windows maintaining privacy on board.

The Amity 17 Tender offers an experience beyond. The unique deck sheerline brings the deck to the water and creates an entire new atmospheric connection with its environment. The catamaran hull offers maximum deck space and optimal comfort in performance as well as allows for shallow water access.
Our vision is to create high-end vessels that embody the dynamics of the ocean and the experience of harmonious intimacy with the marine environment.We aim to take vessels to a new level of recreational experience on the sea.
