ore should be more when it comes to kids ’ rooms, says Natasha Penzo-McIntosh. The reasoning? Kids stay little for such a short time, why not make their rooms dreamy? Her three-year-old daughter Sofia ’ s room is certainly theM stuff little girl’ s dreams are made of, but thanks to her savvy mom, it’ s a room she won ’t soon outgrow. Lighter-than-air cloud wallpaper is sweetly sophisticated, and the velvet-upholstered bed was converted from Sofia ’ s former crib. Even the hand-painted desk will take Sofia right through elementary school. Sweet dreams are, indeed, made of this.
AnimalCrackers
“Every kid should have at least one animal in their room that’s familiar and makes them feel safe, ” Natasha says. This room has a parade of them: not just Sofia’s beloved sheep, but a safari of elephants and giraffes on the window treatment, a pink cheetah-patterned rug, and a unicorn head – which is usually on the wall, but at bedtime somehow ends up in Sofia’s bed.
