LOUNGE LIVING
When considering the design of a living room, it is always best to go for simplicity and then gradually build-up on the decoration to create a warm feel. Having lots of space to move around the furniture ensures a relaxing and well-organised aesthetic, so don’t fill the room with too many items – less is more. Good storage solutions such as a statement cabinet or a coffee table with underneath storage to keep surfaces clear are great ways to maintain the room uncluttered. A creation from UK company Secolo, the Tateyama sofa – with its organic form and pure neutral colour – has been included in a project called Sand Sound, which embraces soft curves and mainly natural materials, as if the edges were worn down by the sea for a truly Mediterranean feel (www.secolo.co.uk).
