Dear Readers,
Editor’s Note Courtney Seybold
How’s it going? To be honest I wasn’t sure we could pull this off, but here it is: the first ofInk and Fairydust’s renewed bimonthly issues (and isn’t that a mouthful?). Of course, there are several people who need to be thanked for the enormous amount of work they put into making this issue—and Ink and Fairydust itself, really—possible. Among them are our amazing new Submissions and Assistant Editors, Elizabeth Troup and Sarah Levesque, who put countless hours into getting everything together and polished; our previous Managing Editor, who was endlessly patient with me and so very helpful as I learned my way around Ink and Fairydust, and who also provided incredible writing and brilliant graphic layouts for this issue; Marie Jeanette, who took on the bulk of proofreading these articles; and, of course, all of our contributing authors who’ve shared their talent with us in this June/July edition of Ink and Fairydust.
This issue is a bit special for another reason, since our theme was Writers to Watch, and we had the good fortune to find four different authors of various backgrounds and interests to feature. They took the time to answer our staff’s questions about writing and their experiences in the delightful interviews found on pages 4-16.
We hope you find some entertainment in our stories, learn some things from our interviews, and enjoy the reading of this issue as much as we enjoyed the making of it. Until next time!
